Description
分離可能または切断可能な構造は反応性花火材料により分離または切断される複合材料を含んでいる。1実施形態によればその構造はそれぞれ複合材料の多数の層を含む1対の複合積層構造部分を含んでいる。それらの部分はそれぞれオーバーラップ領域へ延在し、その領域内では2つの構造部分の複合層が交互に配置され、相互にオーバーラップしている。反応性材料もこのオーバーラップ領域内に位置されており、例えば複合材料層の対間の層に位置している。反応性材料は花火材料、および複合材料のマトリックスまたは樹脂材料の破壊をオーバーラップ領域で生じさせるために点火されることができる。これによって構造はオーバーラップ領域内の分離線に沿って分離される。切断または分離は複合材料の任意のファイバを切断する必要なく行われることができる。したがって、比較的小量の爆発材料が高強度の複合構造を分離するために使用されることができる。この小量の爆発は複合材料のファイバを切断するために必要な爆発力と比較して、構造に対する衝撃及び振動負荷を減少させる。切断可能または分離可能な構造は構造部分の分離を必要とする任意の種々の応用で使用されることができる。例にはミサイルの段間の分離およびミサイルのノーズコーンの分離が含まれている。
Claims (10)
- 分離されるべき第1の構造体と第2の構造体とを分離可能に結合する積層構造体において、
複合材料で構成された複数の複合材料層と、
前記複合材料層間に位置されている反応性花火材料と、
反応性花火材料を点火し、それによって分離線に沿って積層構造体を分離する点火装置とを具備し、
前記複数の複合材料層は第1の複数の複合材料層と第2の複数の複合材料層とによって構成され、
前記第1及び第2の複数の複合材料層はそれぞれ前記分離されるべき第1の構造体と第2の構造体の分離される端部に取付けられ、
前記第1の複数の複合材料層の各層の自由端部は前記第2の複数の複合材料層の各層の自由端部とオーバーラップしてそのオーバーラップ部分だけにおいて第1と第2の各複合材料層は結合されており、
前記反応性花火材料は前記オーバーラップして結合されている領域の複合材料層間に配置されている積層構造体。 - 前記分離線は前記オーバーラップ領域中に存在する請求項1記載の構造体。
- 前記反応性材料は、前記オーバーラップ領域において第1の複合材料層の1つの層と、その層とは結合されない隣接する第2の複合材料層との間に配置されている請求項1または2記載の構造体。
- 前記反応性材料は第1の複合材料層と第2の複合材料層の各層の間にそれぞれ付加的な反応性材料の層を含んでいる請求項3記載の構造体。
- 前記複合材料層はそれぞれの構造体と結合するための1組の穴をそれぞれオーバーラップ領域の外部に有している請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載の構造体。
- 前記構造はミサイルの段間分離構造の一部である請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載の構造体。
- 前記構造はミサイルノーズコーンの一部である請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載の構造体。
- 第1の構造体と第2の構造体とを分離する方法において、
第1の構造体と第2の構造体を結合している構造体の複数の複合材料の層は第1の複数の複合材料層と第2の複数の複合材料層とによって構成され、それら第1及び第2の複数の複合材料層はそれぞれ前記分離されるべき第1の構造体と第2の構造体の分離される端部に取付けられ、前記第1の複数の複合材料層の各層の自由端部は前記第2の複数の複合材料層の各層の自由端部とオーバーラップしてそのオーバーラップ部分だけにおいて第1と第2の各複合材料層は結合されており、
反応性花火材料はオーバーラップ領域で構造体に一体化した構造として構成され、
反応性花火材料を点火してオーバーラップ領域において第1の構造体と第2の構造体とを分離するステップを含んでいる構造体の分離方法。 - 前記反応性花火材料は前記オーバーラップして結合されている領域の第1と第2の各複合材料層の間に配置される請求項8記載の分離方法。
- 前記反応性花火材料を点火して複合材料層内の樹脂マトリックスを気化させる請求項8記載の分離方法。
