Are connected to a large number of side treatment liquid jet nozzles 7a arranged from the upper part of both sides to the center in the depth direction. As shown by the arrows in FIG. 1, the processing liquid flows from the side processing liquid jet nozzle 7 a horizontally and toward the inlet side end of the processing tank 2 and slightly toward the center of the width direction of the processing tank 2. Be injected. The pipe 4a has a large number of bottom treatment liquid jets disposed at the bottom of a portion extending from the vicinity of the end of the treatment tank 2 toward the center in the longitudinal direction and over the entire width direction. It is connected to the nozzle 8a. As shown by the arrows in FIG. 1, the processing liquid is sprayed from the bottom processing liquid spray nozzle 8 a in parallel to the bottom wall 2 a and toward the outlet side of the processing tank 2. The piping 4 a is connected to a plurality of outlet tank side end treatment liquid jet nozzles 9 a disposed on both upper sides in the vicinity of the outlet tank side end of the processing tank 2.
The operation of the immersion type surface treatment apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described.
The upper and middle layers of the processing liquid in the processing tank 2 are energized by the processing liquid sprayed from the processing liquid spray nozzles 7a, 7b, 9a, and 9b. As shown by the drawing arrow, a counterflow that faces the traveling direction of the passenger car body A is formed. Since the processing liquid sprayed from the side processing liquid spray nozzles 7a, 7b, 9a, 9b is slightly directed toward the central portion in the width direction of the processing tank 2 as described above, the sprayed processing liquid is wide. The treatment liquid at the center in the direction is also energized. As a result, a counter flow is formed in the entire upper layer portion and middle layer portion of the processing liquid.
In the bottom layer portion of the processing liquid in the processing tank 2, the processing liquid of the corresponding portion is urged by the processing liquid sprayed from the processing liquid jet nozzles 8a and 8b, as shown by the double white arrows in FIG. A forward flow toward the traveling direction of the passenger car body A is formed. Since the treatment liquid jet nozzles 8a and 8b are arranged over the entire width direction of the bottom of the treatment tank 2, a forward flow is formed in the entire bottom layer portion of the treatment liquid.

In the end portion of the counter flow of the upper layer portion and the middle layer portion indicated by the white arrows in FIG. 1, the surface area flows over the weir and flows into the overflow layer 3b, and the remaining portion is a slant formed by the rear end wall 2d of the treatment tank 2. The plate 2h is guided obliquely downward while facing the traveling direction of the passenger car body A, and is further guided in the forward direction by a curved portion 2i formed at the lower portion of the swash plate 2h. It smoothly merges with the antegrade flow in the bottom layer. As a result, the turbulence of the counterflow end is suppressed.
The end portion of the forward flow in the bottom layer portion indicated by a double white arrow in FIG. 1 is guided upward obliquely upward by the swash plate 2g, and continuously guided obliquely upward by the upper portion of the front end wall 2c of the processing tank 2. Then, it is guided by the curved plate 2f and guided in the opposing direction, and smoothly merges with the opposing flow in the upper layer portion. At the end portion of the forward flow in the bottom layer portion, the remaining portion excluding the upper portion flows into the hopper 2e. A part of the forward flow is guided upward, and the flow rate of the forward flow flowing into the hopper 2e is decreased, so that the flow rate colliding with the lower portion of the front end wall 2c forming the end wall of the hopper is decreased and the upward flow is increased. The flow that soars is decreasing. A swash plate 2g that covers the upper portion of the hopper 2e blocks the flow that has collided with the lower portion of the front end wall 2c. As a result, the turbulence at the forward flow end portion is suppressed.

On the hanger 13, a passenger car body A having doors, bonnets and the like opened and fixed is fixed. As the conveyor trolley 12 travels, the passenger car body A fixed on the hanger 13 enters the treatment tank 2 in the vicinity of the end of the entry tank as shown by the thick arrow in FIG. The stored processing liquid is transported toward the outlet side end of the processing tank 2 and exits from the processing tank 2 in the vicinity of the outlet side end.
The flow of the processing liquid in the upper and middle layers through which the passenger car body A passes is opposed to the traveling direction of the passenger car body A, and the relative speed between the processing liquid flow and the passenger car body A is large. Adhesion to the passenger car body A is effectively prevented.
Since the end portion of the counter flow is smoothly guided downward and merges with the forward flow, the end portion of the counter flow is not disturbed, and no complicated flow of foreign substances such as metal powder occurs, so that the passenger car body A Does not adhere. A part of the end of the forward flow is smoothly guided obliquely upward to join the counter flow, the flow rate of the forward flow colliding with the end wall of the hopper is reduced, and the upward flow is inclined. Since it is blocked by the plate 2g, the end portion of the forward flow is not disturbed, and a complicated flow of foreign matters such as metal powder does not occur and does not adhere to the passenger car body A.
Therefore, in the immersion type surface treatment apparatus according to the present embodiment, the passenger car body A is surface-treated satisfactorily.
Foreign matter such as metal powder settled on the bottom of the treatment tank 2 is entrained in the forward flow and flows into the hopper 2e, is sucked out from the hopper 2e, is captured by the filter 6a, and is removed from the treatment liquid.

An overflow tank 3b is disposed on the inlet side of the processing tank 2, and bubbles and dust floating on the surface of the processing liquid are removed from the processing tank 2 by allowing the counterflow surface area to flow into the overflow tank 3b. The rear end wall 2d of the processing tank 2, which is a partition wall that separates the overflow tank 3b and the processing tank 2, forms a swash plate 2h that guides the end portion of the counter flow obliquely downward, so that it is a separate member from the rear end wall 2d. As compared with the case where the swash plate 2h is provided, the configuration of the treatment tank 2, and thus the immersion type surface treatment apparatus, is simplified.
An overflow tank 3a is arranged on the outlet side of the processing tank 2, and the surface area of the processing liquid in the vicinity of the end of the outlet tank is caused to flow into the overflow tank 3a, thereby removing bubbles and dust floating on the surface of the processing liquid. 2 is removed. Further, waste of the processing liquid is prevented by temporarily putting the recovered liquid from the water washing process, which is the next process, into the overflow tank 3a and supplying it to the processing tank 2 via the pump 5a and the filter 6a.
