Description

The present invention relates to a rib knitted fabric in which stretchability is suppressed by inserting an inlay yarn.

It is known that an inlay yarn is inserted into a rib knitted fabric to suppress stretchability in the wale direction (direction from the beginning of knitting to the end of knitting). For example, Patent Document 1 proposes a sock made of a rib knitted fabric into which an inlay yarn is inserted. By the way, the inlay yarn (insertion yarn) is only passed through the rib knitted fabric and is not fixed to the rib stitch. Therefore, when the knitted fabric is pulled in the lateral direction (course direction of knitting), the inlay yarn comes out from between the rib stitches and becomes conspicuous. Also, once the inlay yarn has gone out, it does not return to its original shape, so it looks bad.
JP 2002-88511

The subject of this invention is
1) The inlay yarn suppresses the elasticity of the rib knitted fabric,
2) Even if the inlay yarn is fixed with the rib stitch and the knitted fabric is stretched, the inlay yarn does not move relative to the rib stitch,
3) Inlay yarn appears on both sides of the knitted fabric and has high design.
It is in providing a rib knitted fabric and its knitting method.

The rib knitted fabric of the present invention is a rib knitted fabric having a rib structure composed of a front surface and a back surface and an inlay yarn inserted into the rib structure, wherein the inlay yarn is adjacent to the rib structure. The inlay yarn surrounds the front side of the rib structure of the adjacent front surface and the back side of the rib structure of the back surface , crossing the front and back of the rib structure crossing the crossover thread connecting the back surface and the back surface. The inlay yarn is partially exposed on both front and back sides.

Preferably, the friction between the face and the inlay yarn in the portion surrounding the face and the friction between the back and the inlay yarn in the portion surrounding the back stitch suppresses the expansion and contraction of the rib knitted fabric, and the rib structure. Restrain the inlay yarn.
Preferably, the inlay yarn and the knitting yarn having a rib structure have different colors.

Preferably, the rib structure is a front surface surrounded by the inlay yarn on the front side of the rib structure, a back surface surrounded by the inlay yarn on the back side of the rib structure, and a front surface and a back surface not surrounded by the inlay yarn, and It has.
Particularly preferably, the ratio between the total number of front and back stitches surrounded by the inlay yarn and the total number of front and back stitches not surrounded by the inlay yarn is 3: 1 to 1: 3. It is.
More preferably, the rib structure includes a plurality of courses composed of front and back stitches, the inlay yarn is inserted in a plurality of courses, and the rows are connected continuously in a direction perpendicular to the course. And a row of back eyes connected in series.

The rib knitted fabric knitting method of the present invention is a method of knitting a rib knitted fabric with a flat knitting machine that includes a pair of front and back needle beds that are movable between the front and back of the flat knitting machine. The course for knitting the rib structure by rib knitting, the course for moving the adjacent front and back stitches to the opposite needle bed in at least part of the stitches of the rib structure, the course for inserting the inlay yarn, and the movement The course of moving the adjacent front and back stitches back to the original needle bed is performed, so that the inlay yarn crosses the crossover yarn connecting the adjacent front and back stitches to form the rib structure. The inlay yarn is partially exposed on both front and back sides of the rib structure by crossing the front and back sides and surrounding the front side in the rib structure of the adjacent front surface and the back side in the rib structure of the back surface of the inlay yarn. It is characterized by knitting rib knitted fabric .

Preferably, only a part of the stitches of the rib structure is moved to the opposite needle bed, transferred to the original needle bed after the inlay yarn has been inserted, and the front and remaining back stitches of the rib structure are not moved. Accordingly, the rib structure includes a front surface surrounded by the inlay yarn on the front side of the rib structure, a back surface surrounded by the inlay yarn on the back side of the rib structure, and a front surface and a back surface not surrounded by the inlay yarn. Provide.

In this specification, a course is a series of knitting operations on a flat knitting machine. In the case of a flat knitting machine equipped with a carriage, one course may correspond to one movement of the carriage, and a plurality of courses may be carriages. May correspond to one movement. Furthermore, the course of the carriage refers to one movement of the carriage. The course direction means a row in which the stitches are connected in the horizontal direction, and the wale direction means a direction perpendicular to this.

For rib knitted fabric, 1 × 1, 2 × 3, etc., the pattern of front 1 and back 1 is repeated (1 × 1 rib), and the front 2 and back 3 are repeated. (2 × 3 ribs).
The rib structure can be considered that the front surface and the back surface face each other. Therefore, the surface between the front surface and the back surface is called the inside of the rib structure or rib knitted fabric, and the other surface is called the surface of the rib structure or rib knitted fabric, or the outside. The fact that the inlay yarn surrounds the stitch means that the inlay yarn passes outside the front and back stitches on the surface of the knitted fabric. Since the inlay yarn passes through the inside of the knitted fabric around this, a frictional force acts between the inlay yarn and the stitches surrounded.

In this specification, the description regarding the rib knitted fabric also applies to the knitting method of the rib knitted fabric as it is, and conversely, the description regarding the knitting method of the rib knitted fabric also applies to the rib knitted fabric as it is. The description relating to the first embodiment also applies to other embodiments and modifications as it is except for the points specifically pointed out. In order to move the stitches between the needle beds, transfer is mainly used in the embodiment, but holding (Japanese Patent No. 2946325, USP 6047569) or the like may be used instead of transfer. Further, instead of moving the stitches between the needle beds, the stitches may be moved between the needle beds and the transfer jack bed (Japanese Patent No. 3408735, EP 924327B). That is, the stitch may be moved in the front-rear direction of the flat knitting machine so as to pass through the mouth of the needle bed. Furthermore, there is a case where the whole is transferred without distinguishing transfer and other stitch movements such as holding.

In this invention, the inlay yarn crosses the transition yarn between the adjacent front and back stitches of the rib knitted fabric, crosses the front and back of the rib structure, and surrounds the adjacent front and back stitches on both sides of the crossing position. . The inlay yarn is restrained by the rib structure by friction with the adjacent front and back stitches. For this reason, even if the rib knitted fabric is stretched, the inlay yarn does not float from the rib structure and remains integral with the rib structure. In addition, the front and back stitches of the rib structure surrounded by the inlay yarn are limited in movement and become a knitted fabric with reduced stretchability. Moreover, because of the rib structure, it is thicker than a flat knitted fabric, and it becomes a knitted fabric with a firm feel. Since the inlay yarn appears on the front and back of the knitted fabric, and the rib structure is originally reversible, it can be used in places where the back of the knitted fabric can be seen. Further, when the inlay yarn is changed in color from the rib texture yarn, and a highly decorative yarn such as a lame yarn is used as the inlay yarn, a knitted fabric having a high design property can be obtained.

The elasticity of the rib knitted fabric is determined by the ratio of the number of stitches surrounded by the inlay yarn and the number of stitches not surrounded by the inlay yarn. The higher the proportion of stitches that are not surrounded by the inlay yarn, the higher the stretchability. For example, when almost all the stitches of the rib knitted fabric are surrounded by the inlay yarn, the form stability is increased and a firm knitted fabric is obtained. If this ratio is 3: 1 to 1: 3, preferably 2: 1 to 1: 2, particularly preferably about 1: 1, the entire stitch is thicker and more elastic than the case where the inlay yarn surrounds, and the cardigan placket It becomes a knitted fabric suitable for waists and collars of pants and skirts. In this case, a stitch surrounded by the inlay yarn and a stitch not surrounded by the inlay yarn appear in a deer shape.

In this invention, at least part of the knitted fabric of the rib structure, the adjacent front and back stitches are moved in the front-rear direction of the flat knitting machine, the inlay yarn is inserted, and then the moved stitch is transferred back. For the stitches that have been moved, the inlay yarn passes outside the stitches, not between the front and back stitches. When the stitches are moved back, the front and back stitches moved by the inlay yarn are surrounded.

In the following, an optimum embodiment for carrying out the present invention will be shown.

1 to 11 show an embodiment and its modifications. 1 to 4 show a first embodiment, and a rib knitted fabric is knitted using a flat knitting machine that is provided with a pair of front and back needle beds and can be transferred between the needle beds. The knitting operation is performed by operating the needles on the needle bed with the carriage. However, a linear motor may be provided for each needle on the needle bed to operate the needles. The knitting structure of FIG. 1 is a 1 × 1 rib, and a plait such as a cardigan is assumed, and a flat knitting portion at the left end is a structure of an end portion of the placket. In Step 1, for example, one course rib is knitted, and in Step 2, both ends of the rib structure are removed and transferred to the needle beds facing each other. Next, in step 3, the inlay yarn is inserted and fixed by, for example, tucking a rib stitch at the right end portion of the placket. Next, in step 4, the transferred stitch is transferred back to the original needle bed. By repeating this, the rib knitted fabric 2 shown in FIGS. 2 to 4 is obtained.

4 is a front wal, 6 is a back wal, 5 is an individual front, 7 is an individual back, and 8 is a transition yarn between the front 5 and the back 7. Reference numeral 10 denotes an inlay yarn, which passes the outer side of the front stitch 5 and the outer side of the back stitch 7, surrounds the outer sides of the front stitch 5 and the back stitch 7 like the exposed portions 11 and 12, and is connected by a cross yarn 13 between them. . In the rib knitted fabric 2, as shown in FIG. 3, the surface formed by the set of front stitches 5 and the surface formed by the set of back stitches 7 approach each other, and the rib knitted fabric becomes a thin knitted fabric. Since the front surface 5 and the back surface 7 come into contact with the exposed portions 11 and 12 of the inlay yarn 10 and friction acts between them, the expansion and contraction is suppressed, and the knitted fabric is slightly thicker than that during flat knitting. Furthermore, the rib knitted fabric 2 is front and back symmetrical.

FIG. 5 shows a conventional 1 × 1 rib knitted fabric. The surface of the front surface 5 and the surface of the back surface 7 are separated from each other and are thicker than the rib knitted fabric 2 of FIG. The pitch of the stitches 5 and 7 changes due to the deformation of the crossover yarn 8, and can be stretched as shown in the lower part of FIG. On the other hand, in the rib knitted fabric 2 of the embodiment, the pitch between the stitches 5 and 7 is kept almost constant by the inlay yarn 10, and the property close to that of the fabric is generated. The rib knitted fabric 2 of FIG. 3 is shown as shown in FIG. 4 for simplicity. Hereinafter, the portion where the inlay yarn 10 is indicated by a broken line and the inlay yarn 10 surrounds the front surface 5 and the back surface 7 is a portion where the inlay yarn 10 passes outside the front surface 5 and the back surface 7.

FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 show an embodiment in which about 1/2 each of the front and back of the 1 × 1 rib structure is surrounded by inlay yarns. One course rib is knitted in step 11 of FIG. At this time, about 1/2 of the rib stitch is transferred, inlay yarn is inserted in step 13, and transferred back in step 14. The adjacent front and back stitches are transferred so that the adjacent front and back stitches are each surrounded by the inlay yarn. In steps 15 to 18, the same processing as in steps 11 to 14 is performed, but the stitches 25 and 27 to be transferred and the stitches 15 and 17 to be transferred are reversed from those in steps 11 to 14. As a result, for example, the stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by the inlay yarn and the stitches 15 and 17 surrounded by the inlay yarn are reversed for each course, and the appearance of the rib knitted fabric becomes a deer shape. The obtained rib knitted fabric is shown in FIG. 7, wherein 15 is a front surface not surrounded by the inlay yarn, 17 is a back surface not surrounded by the inlay yarn, 25 is a front surface surrounded by the inlay yarn, and 27 is the inlay yarn. It is an enclosed back eye. Reference numeral 14 denotes a crossover thread that passes between the stitches 15 and 17. 4 and 7, since the knitted fabrics 2 and 22 are displayed along the cross section in the course direction, the crossover yarn 13.14 and the crossover yarn 8 appear to intersect at the same height. There is a height difference between them.

FIG. 8 shows a modified example of the rib knitted fabric with all the needles using holding instead of transfer. In holding, a compound needle comprising a needle body and a slider with a tongue is used as a knitting needle, and a compound needle holding a stitch with a hook temporarily places another stitch with a tongue is called holding. The stitches marked with black circles in steps 21 and 27 in FIG. 8 are stitches temporarily placed by holding.

For example, one course rib is knitted in step 21, and holding is performed in steps 22 and 23. At this time, a pair of the adjacent front face 30f and back face 30b is held. In step 24, the inlay yarn is inserted. Next, in step 25 and step 26, the holding is canceled and the stitch is moved to the original needle. As a result, on the right side of the stitch 30 at the left end of the rib knitted portion, for example, a rib structure having stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by inlay yarn at a rate of one stitch in the fourth is obtained. Further, the front surface 25 and the back surface 27 adjacent to each other are surrounded by the inlay yarn 10. The same knitting is performed by changing the position of the stitch surrounded by the inlay yarn 10. For example, Steps 28 to 32 are performed, and here, the positions of the stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by the inlay yarn are shifted by two stitches in Steps 21 to 26. Since the stitches 25 and 27 are surrounded by the inlay yarn at the rate of one stitch in the fourth, the same knitting as in steps 21 to 26 is repeated four times by changing the position of the stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by the inlay yarn. Then, the stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by the inlay yarn can be evenly distributed on the rib knitted fabric.

FIG. 9 and FIG. 10 show an embodiment relating to tubular knitting, in which almost all stitches 25 and 27 of a 1 × 1 rib knitted fabric are surrounded by inlay yarns. As the flat knitting machine, for example, a four-bed flat knitting machine having two upper and lower needle beds is used, and the back knitted fabric is knitted in steps 41 to 45. In step 41, the stitches are moved from the rear lower needle bed to the front upper needle bed, one course rib is knitted in step 42, the transfer between the rear lower needle bed and the front upper needle bed is performed in step 43, and the inlay yarn is executed in step 44. In Step 45, transfer from the front upper needle bed to the rear lower needle bed is performed. When the same processing is performed on the front knitted fabric in step 46 to step 50, the rib knitted fabric 32 'of FIG. 9 is obtained. A rib knitted fabric 32 similar to this is shown in FIG. Since the stretchability is suppressed and the rib knitted fabric is thin and firm, it can be used as a basic structure in, for example, knitting non-sewn clothing.

FIG. 11 shows an expansion / contraction model of the knitted fabric. The width of the knitted fabric after finishing is shown on the basis of the width of the knitted fabric when knitting on the needle bed (knitting width). The more the shrinkage from the knitting width is, the easier the knitted fabric is stretched. The flat knitted fabric slightly shrinks as shown in the second stage of FIG. When the stitches are surrounded by inlay yarns in the same manner as the rib knitted fabric 2 of the embodiment with respect to the flat knitted fabric, the knitted fabric is further made harder than the knitted fabric whose elasticity is originally suppressed. In the case of the rib knitted fabric of FIGS. 1 to 4, since almost all the stitches are surrounded by the inlay yarn, the stretchability is suppressed. As shown in FIG. 7, when the stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by the inlay yarn and the stitches 15 and 17 not surrounded are provided, the stretchability is increased. In the rib knitted fabric of the conventional example not using the inlay yarn, the width of the finished product is remarkably reduced from the knitting width on the needle bed, and a larger stretchability remains.

In the embodiment, the following effects can be obtained.
1) Since the inlay yarn surrounds the front and back surfaces adjacent to the rib, the inlay yarn is strongly restrained by the rib structure and the elongation of the rib structure can be suppressed. Further, the inlay yarn does not come out between the rib structures.
2) The obtained rib knitted fabric has intermediate properties between the normal rib knitted fabric and the fabric, and the stretchability is adjusted by the ratio of the number of stitches 25 and 27 surrounded by the inlay yarn and the number of stitches 15 and 17 not enclosed. And the thickness of the knitted fabric can be adjusted. And since it is thicker than conventional flat knitted fabric, it feels firm.
3) The rib knitted fabric can be used where the front and back sides can be seen from the outside.
4) Changing the type of knitting yarn of inlay yarn and rib structure, especially changing the color, gives a knitted fabric with high design. In this case, if the inlay yarn surrounds only a part of the stitches of the rib structure, a lion-like appearance is obtained.
