Claims (15)
- エアバッグ用のインフレータにおいて、
少なくとも酸化可能ガス(酸化性ガス)及び酸化ガスとを含み、加圧された混合ガスを収容する単一のガスボトルと;
前記ガスボトルを開放し、前記ガスボトルから前記エアバッグの内部にガスを流し込むことができる開放機構と;
前記エアバッグの内部に配置され、前記ガスボトルからのガスを着火するスパーク式着火の始動装置を備え、
前記始動装置は、前記エアバッグの内部にガスが存在するときに当該ガスを着火する構造であることを特徴とするインフレータ。 - 前記始動装置は信号により作動され、前記ガスボトルからのガスが前記エアバッグの内部に流れ込んだときにその信号を発生する信号発生器を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記ガスボトルを密封するホイルと;
前記ホイルを破断するように動作するオープニング装置とを更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のインフレータ。 - 前記開放機構は、ピストン(43)を含み、
前記ピストンは、点火管(42)と連結され、初期位置から第2の位置まで移動可能であり、
前記ピストンは、シャフト(45)を備え、
前記シャフトは、初期状態において前記ホイル(10)に隣接して配置され、前記ピストンは前記第2の位置に移動したときに前記ホイルが破断するように位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のインフレータ。 - 前記オープニング装置は、未破断状態の前記ホイルを保持する保持部材(23)を備え、
前記保持部材は、ピストン要素(25)の一部(29)により位置が保持され、
前記ピストン要素は、初期状態において保持部材と直接係合し、
前記ピストン要素は点火管(18)を備え、当該点火管によって初期位置から前記保持部材との係合が解かれる開放位置まで駆動され、これにより、前記保持部材は前記ホイルが破断する位置まで動いて前記ガスボトルからガスが漏れ出すことが可能となる構造を採用することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載のインフレータ。 - 前記保持部材(23)は、ブラケット(20)の一部として成形され、ベース(21)から実質的に垂直に延びるサポートアームの形態をとることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記保持部材(23)は屈曲可能であり、前記ボトル内のガスの圧力が所定の閾値を超えることにより屈曲するように構成され、これによって、前記ホイル(10)を破断可能に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記保持部材(23)は前記ガスボトル内のガス圧が所定の閾値を超えたときに破断する機械的脆弱な線(24)を有し、前記保持部材の少なくとも一部が屈曲し、これによって、前記ホイルを破断可能に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記ガスボトル(1)内の混合ガスは、前記酸化可能ガス(酸化性ガス)として、水素、メタン、プロパン、ブタン又はこれらの混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記ガスボトル(1)内の混合ガスは、前記酸化ガスとして、酸素又は二酸化窒素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至9の何れか一項に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記ガスボトル(1)内の混合ガスは空気を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れか一項に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記ガスボトル(1)内の混合ガスは不活性ガスを含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至11の何れか一項に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記不活性ガスは、ヘリウム、アルゴン、窒素又はこれらの混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載のインフレータ。
- 前記酸化可能ガス(酸化性ガス)は、水素、メタン、プロパン、ブタン又はこれらの混合物のグループから選択され、
前記酸化ガスは、酸素、二酸化窒素又はこれらの混合ガスを含むグループから選択され、
前記ガスボトルは、最初は破断可能なホイル(10)によって密封され、
前記ホイルを破断するように動作するオープニング装置を更に備え、
前記オープニング装置は、点火管(18)を備え、ピストン要素(25,43)を第1の位置から第2の位置まで駆動し、
前記オープニング装置は、前記ピストンが前記第2の位置に移動したときに前記ホイル(10)が破断するように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインフレータ。 - 請求項1乃至14の何れか一項に記載のインフレータを備えたことを特徴とするエアバッグ。
