Claims (3)
- レーザ誘起光学的破壊を実質的に透明の物質内で実施する装置において、該装置が、
レーザ・ビームを連続的なレーザ・フォーカル・スポットのパターンにより前記物質に送るレーザ手段であって、レーザ誘起光学的破壊を、直径「d1」を有する物質の体積体内の各フォーカル・スポットに生じさせ、前記レーザ誘起光学的破壊の結果として、「d1」よりも大きい最大直径「d2」と減衰時間「τ」とを有するキャビテーション気泡を生じさせる、レーザ手段と、
前記レーザ・ビームを、第1のフォーカル・スポットから始めて、1つのフォーカル・スポットから別のフォーカル・スポットへと前記パターンを通して動かすための光学的手段とを含み、
各フォーカル・スポットが、時間「τ」内に既に誘起された各フォーカル・スポットから「d2」よりも大きく離れた距離にあり、
第1のフォーカル・スポットでのレーザ誘起光学的破壊後に時間「τ」を経過した後は、第1のフォーカル・スポットの中心から「d 2 」よりも小さい距離「d」だけ離れた中心を有する、第1のフォーカル・スポットに並置された第2のフォーカル・スポットにレーザ誘起光学的破壊を起こすようになっている装置。 - 前記キャビテーション気泡が、時間「τ」の間に、つぶれて実質的に定常な直径「d3」となり、ここでd1≦d3≦d2であり、さらに、第1のフォーカル・スポットが開始時に誘起され、第2のフォーカル・スポットが、前記第1のフォーカル・スポットでのレーザ誘起光学的破壊後の時点「τ」にて誘起され、前記第2のフォーカル・スポットが、実質的に前記第1のフォーカル・スポットからの距離「d3」にある、請求項1に記載された装置。
- 前記直径「d1」が、1〜10μmの範囲であり、前記最大直径「d2」が、2d1とほぼ等しく、前記減衰時間「τ」が、約2マイクロ秒未満である、請求項1に記載された装置。
