Claims (9)
- 特定の受容者の蝸牛に埋め込まれる電極アレイを有する蝸牛インプラントにおいて、
前記インプラントは、前記特定の受容者の蝸牛の1つまたは複数の離散刺激領域についての刺激を提供するように構成され、
前記離散刺激領域は、前記電極アレイの電極チャネルを介して前記蝸牛に同時に印加される刺激信号と1つまたは複数の制限信号の干渉によって規定され、前記刺激信号および前記制限信号は、前記特定の受容者の特有の電流拡散関数を表す前記電極チャネルのトランスインピーダンス測定に基づいて求められる、
前記蝸牛インプラント。 - それぞれの前記離散刺激領域の前記刺激が、目標電極チャネルを介して適用され、それぞれの前記離散刺激領域のサイズが、前記目標電極チャネル以外の電極チャネル(複数可)に印加される1つまたは複数の制限信号によって規定され、前記1つまたは複数の制限信号が、前記刺激に応答して普通なら起こることになる電流拡散を打ち消す請求項1に記載のインプラント。
- 前記電極アレイが、前記電極アレイ上に取り付けられた複数の電極を備え、それぞれの前記目標電極チャネルが、前記離散刺激領域に隣接する1つまたは複数の連続する電極を備える請求項2に記載のインプラント。
- 前記電極アレイが、前記電極アレイ上に取り付けられた複数の電極を備え、それぞれの前記目標電極チャネルが、隣接しないで配置されるか、または、不等間隔で配置される電極を備える請求項2に記載のインプラント。
- それぞれの前記目標電極チャネルが、音プロセッサの出力に基づいて音を表するように選択されて、前記離散刺激領域内の神経活動を刺激し、それにより、前記表された音の認識を生じる請求項2に記載のインプラント。
- それぞれの前記電極チャネルが、前記蝸牛に対して、刺激を送出するか、制限信号を送出するか、または、信号を送出しないように構成される請求項1に記載のインプラント。
- 前記電極アレイの空間分解能内で任意の時空間刺激パターンが適用されるように構成される請求項1に記載のインプラント。
- 離散刺激領域の刺激は、前記アレイの全ての電極チャネルを通した刺激または制限信号の一つの印加を含む請求項1に記載のインプラント。
- 離散刺激領域の刺激は、前記電極アレイの全てより少ない電極チャネルに対する刺激または制限信号の印加を含む請求項1に記載のインプラント。
