Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle roof antenna in which a synthetic resin cover having an antenna disposed therein is mounted on a vehicle roof panel.

Conventional vehicle roof antennas, like the antenna device disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-363747, are provided with waterproofing measures for electronic components such as antennas and antenna modules disposed inside the cover member. . As a waterproof measure, the bottom opening of the cover member is closed with a bottom plate, and a gasket that covers the periphery of the bottom plate is arranged to ensure the sealing of the cover member.

In order to take a waterproof measure as described above, a large number of parts are required, and it is necessary to increase the precision of parts processing, which is expensive. Further, a change in atmospheric pressure based on a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the cover member occurs, and when the internal atmospheric pressure becomes low, rainwater or washing water may enter through the gap.

And once the moisture that has entered the interior remains in the cover member without being drained for waterproofing, the humidity increases and the electronic components are destroyed, rust is generated on the soldered parts, and the antenna cable is corroded. Problems occur.

According to the vehicle roof antenna of the third aspect , since the cover is tapered toward the front part and the ceiling part, it is possible to reduce wind noise during high-speed running.

A vehicle roof antenna 1 according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. 1 is a front view of a vehicle roof antenna 1, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a bottom view. The cover 2 made of a soft synthetic resin constituting the vehicle roof antenna 1 is formed in a substantially boat shape in a plan view, and is formed in a tapered shape toward the front end 2a facing the front of the vehicle to be mounted. The streamlined side surface 2b is continuous.

On the upper surface of the cover 2, a projection 3 having a boat shape in plan view is integrally formed (see FIG. 2). A holding cylinder portion 4 is integrally formed downward in the protruding portion 3. Further, locking claws 6a and 6b for locking a booster amplifier 12, an antenna cable 13, and the like, which will be described later, are integrally formed on both sides of the inner wall 5 of the protruding portion 3. A joining surface 8 is formed on the entire periphery of the bottom opening 7 of the cover 2. A notch 9 for leading out the antenna cable is formed on the joint surface 8 at the rear end of the cover 2.

The upper end portion of the spiral coil antenna 10 is inserted and held in the holding cylinder portion 4. The lower end 11 of the coil antenna 10 is located above the bottom opening 7 of the cover 2. The lower end 11 is connected to an antenna cable 13 having a resin-molded booster amplifier 12 interposed therebetween. The booster amplifier 12 and the antenna cable 13 are respectively locked by locking claws 6a and 6b integrally formed on both sides of the inner wall 5 of the protruding portion 3. The position of the booster amplifier 12 is located above the bottom opening 7 of the cover 2, similarly to the lower end 11 of the coil antenna 10. The antenna cable 13 is led out of the cover 2 from a notch 9 formed in the joint surface 8. Moreover, the double-sided adhesive tape 14 is attached to the joining surface 8 at appropriate intervals.

The vehicle roof antenna 1 is attached to a vehicle roof panel 100 with a double-sided adhesive tape 14 attached to the joint surface 8 of the cover 2. The lower end 11 of the coil antenna 10 and the booster amplifier 12 are positioned above the bottom opening 7 of the cover 2. Accordingly, since it does not come into contact with rainwater or the like flowing in the cover 2 along the roof panel 100, a waterproof measure for sealing the inside of the cover with a rubber sheet or a sealant while keeping the bottom surface opening 7 of the cover 2 open. Therefore, since the configuration is simple and the number of parts is small, it can be manufactured at low cost. Internal inspection can be easily performed by simply removing it from the roof panel 100.

Further, since the joining surface 8 of the cover 2 and the roof panel 100 are joined by the double-sided adhesive tape 14, the mounting operation can be performed easily and quickly. And since the cover 2 is formed so as to taper toward the front part and the ceiling part, it is possible to reduce wind noise during high speed running.
As shown in FIG. 4, there is also a vehicle roof antenna 1 a having a simple form in which the booster amplifier 12 is not disposed in the cover 2.

5 to 7 show a reference example of a vehicle roof antenna. The vehicle roof antenna 21 shown in FIG. 5 has an antenna wire 22 wound in accordance with the shape of the inner surface of the projecting portion 3 of the cover 2 and is disposed on the inner surface of the projecting portion 3 and adhered with an adhesive. It is coated with a film or PET23.

The vehicle roof antenna 31 shown in FIG. 6 is obtained by resin-molding the antenna 32 wire formed in a zigzag shape in the protruding portion 3. The vehicle roof antenna 41 shown in FIG. 7 is obtained by bonding a conductive film antenna 42 in which a zigzag conductive pattern is formed on a plastic film to the inside of the protruding portion 3 of the cover 2.

The lower ends of the antenna wires 22 and 32 of the vehicle roof antennas 21, 31 and 41 and the conductive film antenna 42 are all located above the bottom opening 7 of the cover 2. Accordingly, since it does not come into contact with rainwater or the like flowing in the cover 2 along the roof panel 100, a waterproof measure for sealing the inside of the cover with a rubber sheet or a sealant while keeping the bottom surface opening 7 of the cover 2 open. There is no need for.

Since the mounting method of the vehicle roof antennas 21, 31, and 41 is the same as that of the vehicle roof antenna 1, detailed description thereof is omitted. Further, the cover 2 can be attached to the roof panel 100 by using screws or directly by an adhesive.
