【0001】
WB=(WA+α)×2+Tmax+V
【0058】
L1=Tmax−TA+L2
【0059】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a transfer device, and more particularly to a transfer device suitable for use in a bookbinding machine for transferring bookbinding sheets from a supply position toward a cover cover bonding position.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the bookbinding paper and the cover are transported to a predetermined position through separate transport paths, and a melted hot melt adhesive is applied to the back of the bookbinding paper or the center of the cover in the middle of either transport, Alternatively, a hot melt adhesive sheet is attached in advance to the center of the cover, and this is heated and melted with a heater, and a predetermined pressure is applied thereto to adhere the cover to the back of the bookbinding paper, and the back of the cover is attached. Bending is performed in accordance with the thickness of bookbinding paper.
[0003]
For example, according to the bookbinding method described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-48065, a hot melt adhesive is applied to the back portion in the process of transferring the bookbinding paper in a state of being substantially upright with the back portion down. The book is bonded to the center of the cover that is transferred in the unfolded state. When the bookbinding paper is transferred in an upright state in this manner, the work of applying the hot melt adhesive to the back of the bookbinding paper can be smoothly performed during the transfer process, and the gravity of the bookbinding paper can also be adhered to the cover. Since the adhesive force can be strengthened by acting, it is considered to be an advantageous transfer method. In this publication, a bookbinding sheet is conveyed by a chain conveyor or the like while being clamped from both sides in the thickness direction by a vise or a clamp.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, transferring bookbinding sheets in an upright state has many advantages in bookbinding operations, but on the other hand, when this transfer means is used alone, a long-distance transfer path is required in the horizontal direction. . That is, the bookbinding paper transport device in the bookbinding machine needs to move at least between the supply position for waiting for the user to input (supply) the bookbinding paper, the gluing position, and the cover bonding or molding position. If the transfer path between them is configured as a plane, it is difficult to manufacture the bookbinding machine in a compact manner.
[0005]
In order to make it easier for the user to load the bookbinding paper, the supply position is preferably provided in the upper part of the bookbinding machine. However, the gluing position where the heater for melting the hot melt adhesive is provided is for safety. It is preferable to provide it at the lower part of the bookbinding machine, and it is practically very difficult to construct a transfer path between these positions in a plane.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a transfer device that is suitable for use in transferring bookbinding sheets from a supply position to a cover bonding position in a bookbinding machine. In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a transfer device having a novel configuration that uses the first and second clamp means as the transfer means and can easily transfer the first clamp means to the second clamp means. And
[0007]
In order to achieve this object, the present invention according to
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the transfer device according to the first aspect, the tip of each pair of clamp plates constituting the first and second clamping means is formed in a comb-like shape in which protruding claws and concave portions are alternately provided. In addition, when the first clamp means reaches the delivery position, the comb-like claws at the front ends of the pair of clamp plates constituting the first clamp means are waiting at the reception position. A pair of clamp plates constituting the second clamp means can be inserted into the tip comb-like recesses, and the clamp plate claws of the second clamp means can enter the recesses of the clamp plate of the first clamp means. It is characterized by having a comb-tooth shape.
[0010]
According to a third aspect of the present invention , there is provided a transfer device for transferring an object to be transferred from a first position to a second position while being sandwiched between a pair of clamp plates from both sides in the thickness direction. A first clamping means for transferring the object to be transferred to a reloading position between the first position and the second position; and a second clamping means for transferring the object to be transferred from the reloading position to the second position. When the tip of each pair of clamp plates constituting the first and second clamp means is provided with protruding claws and recesses alternately, and when the first and second clamp means are in the transshipment position In addition, the claw of the clamp plate of the first clamp means enters the recess of the clamp plate of the second clamp means and the claw of the clamp plate of the second clamp means enters the recess of the clamp plate of the first clamp means. Is possible Are a comb-teeth shape is characterized by reloading the second clamp to be transported object from the first clamp in the transshipment position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of a bookbinding apparatus incorporating a bookbinding paper (hereinafter referred to as “text”) as an embodiment of the present invention, and a text supply means including text thickness detection means 2. 1, a gluing means 3, a body transfer means 4, a cover supply means 5 including a cover cutting means 6 and a cover positioning means 7, a cover bonding means 8, a cover molding means 9, a booklet discharge means 10, The chip discharging means 11 is included.
[0012]
The body supply means 1 supplies the body to be bound to the pasting position (first predetermined position ) with the body clamped from both sides. The body
[0013]
The cover sheet supply means 5 supplies the cover sheet to the cover sheet forming position, more specifically, to the lower part of the hot melt adhesive coating back portion of the main body transferred to the cover sheet forming position by the main body transfer means 4 at the same position. Upon receiving the detection result (text thickness detection value) by the detection means 2, the cover cutting means 6 cuts the cover according to the thickness of the text, and the center of the cut cover is the thickness of the text at the cover molding position. The cover is positioned by the cover positioning means 7 so as to coincide with the center, and the cover is fed to the cover forming position. The cover scraps cut by the cover cutting means 6 are discharged by the chip discharge means 11 through a chip discharge path different from the cover sheet passing path by the cover sheet supply means 5.
[0014]
At the cover forming position, the cover bonding means 8 presses and adheres the center of the cover supplied by the cover supply means 5 to the hot melt adhesive application back portion of the main text. The cover molding means 9 binds the cover bonded by the cover bonding means 8 along the both side edges of the hot melt adhesive application back portion of the text and binds the book. The cover sheet adhering means 8 and the cover

[0042]
First, in S101, it is confirmed whether all initial start conditions are satisfied. The initial start condition includes, for example, that the sub-clamp 20 is in the above-described text supply position and the jog unit 40 is in the above-described retracted position, that the text A is set on the table 24 of the sub-clamp 20, The cover 71 of the size corresponding to the size of the text A on the table 24 is accommodated in the cassette 71 of the paper unit 70 (determined based on the detection values by the text size sensor and the cover size sensor described above), the heater unit 60, that a predetermined amount of hot melt adhesive 61 ′ is already contained in the housing, the start switch is turned on, and the like.

FIG. 12: After confirming that the next start condition is satisfied in S115, it is confirmed that at least one cover is stored in the cover cassette 71 (S301), and the paper feed roller 72 is driven by a motor. Then, the feeding of only one cover sheet B in the cassette 71 is started along the sheet passing path (S302). The

If the body thickness measured by the body thickness sensor 21 is (TA), the difference from the maximum allowable thickness, that is, (Tmax−TA) is the cover cut amount, and this is the cover cover protrusion amount (L1−L2). Therefore, the cover sheet conveyance amount (L1) in S305 may be set so as to satisfy the following equation.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, in the transfer device that transfers the bookbinding paper in an upright state, the first clamping means that swings between the supply position waiting for the supply of the bookbinding paper by the user and the predetermined position, and the cover sheet from the predetermined position.
