木造戸建て住宅内に配設される金属製の給水・給湯管を樹脂製の給水・給湯管に更新する住宅内給水・給湯管の更新工法において、
住宅内の床面に開口部を形成する開口工程と、
作業員が、前記開口部から床下に入り、前記住宅内に備えられる各給水口の床下まで前記樹脂製の給水・給湯管を敷設する新管敷設工程と、
前記各給水口下方の床下から床上へ、前記樹脂製の給水・給湯管を床面に貫通させる通管工程と、
前記住宅に水道を供給する量水器の栓を閉じる閉栓工程と、
前記各給水口に接続されている前記金属製の給水・給湯管を該各給水口から外す旧管交換工程と、
前記通管工程において床上に出した前記樹脂製の給水・給湯管を、前記金属製の給水・給湯管を外した前記各給水口に接続する新管接続工程と、
前記金属製の給水・給湯管と前記量水器との接続を解き、前記樹脂製の給水・給湯管を該量水器に接続する量水器接続工程と、
前記量水器の栓を開ける開栓工程と、
床下に配管されている前記金属製の給水・給湯管を撤去する旧管撤去工程と、を含む住宅内給水・給湯管の更新工法であって、
前記開口工程においては、床下に設置し日常生活のストック用品を収納するスペースである床下収納部を新たに形成することを特徴とする住宅内給水・給湯管の更新工法。
