Claims (12)
- (i)第1のシグナルモニタでのエミッタにより送信された第1のパケットのシグナル強度と;(ii)前記第1のシグナルモニタでの無線端末により送信された第2のパケットのシグナル強度と;を測定する前記第1のシグナルモニタと;
(iii)第2のシグナルモニタでの前記エミッタにより送信された前記第1のパケットのシグナル強度と;(iV)前記第2のシグナルモニタでの前記無線端末により送信された前記第2のパケットのシグナル強度と;を測定する前記第2のシグナルモニタと;
(a)前記エミッタの位置を受信し;かつ(b)(i)、(ii)、(iii)、(iV)及び前記エミッタの位置に基づいて前記無線端末の位置を決定するプロセッサと;を備え、
前記プロセッサが、更に
(i)前記第1のシグナルモニタが測定した、前記エミッタを備える複数のシグナル源と関連した第1の複数のシグナル強度測定値と、(ii)前記第2のシグナルモニタが測定した、前記エミッタを備える複数のシグナル源と関連した第2の複数のシグナル強度測定値とを取得し;
(i)無線ネットワークエリアを複数のグリッドに分割し、前記第1の複数のシグナル強度測定値を補間処理して前記各グリッドにおける第1のシグナルサンプルのスカラー配列を作成すると共に、(ii)前記第2の複数のシグナル強度測定値を補間処理して前記各グリッドにおける第2のシグナルサンプルのスカラー配列を作成し;かつ
前記第1のシグナルサンプルのスカラー配列及び前記第2のシグナルサンプルのスカラー配列に基づいて、合成シグナル強度ベクトルのベクトル配列を作成し;かつ
前記プロセッサは、前記第1、第2のシグナルモニタが測定した前記無線端末により送信された前記第2のパケットのシグナル強度から作成した前記無線端末のシグナル強度ベクトルを、少なくとも一つの前記合成シグナル強度ベクトルと照合することで前記無線端末の位置を前記グリッドの位置として推定することを特徴とする装置。 - 無線媒体に前記第1のパケットを送信する前記エミッタを更に備え、前記第1のパケットは、前記エミッタの位置に関する情報を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記無線端末のシグナル強度ベクトルの照合が、シグナルベクトル空間での最適照合値の検索を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の複数のシグナル強度測定値の補間がアキマスプライン法を用いて行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 更に前記プロセッサは、前記第1の複数のシグナル強度測定値をスムージングすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- スムージングが、一般化加法モデルに基づくことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- 更に前記プロセッサは、欠落しているシグナル強度測定値の代りにシグナル値を割り当てることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シグナル値が−92dBm以下であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- シグナル源を表すシグナル強度測定値が、そのシグナル源につきある時間中に測定された2つ以上のシグナル強度測定値の(i)中央値又は(ii)平均値のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記エミッタは静置型であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記エミッタの位置に関する前記情報が、前記エミッタの媒体アクセス制御アドレスを示すことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記エミッタの位置に関する前記情報が、前記エミッタの座標を示すことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
