請求項1に係わる発明は、新設し、或いは改修した高炉の火入れ準備のため、炉頂部ないしその近傍から垂下されるワイヤー、ロープ、チェーン等の索条の下端に取付けたチェーンブロック、ホイスト等の巻上装置の吊り上げ用フックに掛けた上記索条とは別のワイヤー、ロープ、チェーン等の索条端に取付けた吊り治具を枕木に着脱可能に取着したのち、前記巻上装置を操作して枕木を吊り上げ、上記索条、巻上装置、吊り上げ用フック或いは吊り治具の任意の箇所に連結した案内ワイヤー、ロープ、チェーン等の案内索条を所要の向きに牽引して吊り上げた上記枕木を所要の箇所まで運ぶことよりなる、高炉への枕木の充填方法で用いられる前記吊り治具であって、枕木に端面から或いは側面から嵌合するコ形断面の治具本体と、該本体に中間部が軸支されてこの支軸点を中心にして旋回可能であり、一端に枕木に係止する爪部を有し、他端が前記吊り上げ用フックに掛けた索条に連結されるレバーとよりなることを特徴とする。
