左右の側板間に上下複数段の棚板を横架してなる通常の書架においては、棚板上に書籍の背表紙を前方に向けて載置するようになっているのが一般的である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
書籍の内容等をアピールするためには、表紙を前方に向けて、棚板の上面と背板等に立て掛けて載置するのが効果的である。

しかし、通常の書架に表紙を前方に向けて載置すると、書籍が、書架の僅かな揺れでも棚板の上面から滑り落ちる問題がある。

この問題を解決するためには、棚板の上面に、滑り止め用の上向きのストッパ片を設けることも考えられたが、このようにすると、通常の背表紙を前方に向けた載置形態とする際に、ストッパ片が邪魔になる。

上記目的を達成するために、本発明の書架は、両側板の間に棚板を設けると共に、両側面板の上端部中央に当て板を有する書架において、前記棚板の上面における前後両端部に左右方向を向く凹溝を設け、該凹溝に、書籍の幅方向の下端縁を受支し得るとともに、上面に滑り止め手段を有する支持部材を嵌合し、前記滑り止め手段の上端を、棚板の上面と同等又はそれよりも下位となるようにしたことを特徴としている。
上記構成の書架によると、書籍の幅方向の下端縁を支持部材の上面により支持した際に、滑り止め手段により係止されるため、表紙を外方に向けて載置した書籍が棚板より滑り落ちることなく前後両面から収納でき、背表紙を外方に向けた通常の載置形態も採り得ることができる。

上記書架において、滑り止め手段を、凹条、多数の凹凸条、多数の小突起、ゴム板のいずれかよりなるものとするのが好ましい。
このようにすると、いずれの滑り止め手段も、比較的簡単で安価に形成することができ、かつ滑り止めの効果も大きい。

以下、本発明の実施形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図1は、本発明の書架の実施形態を示す斜視図、図2は、図1のII−II線の拡大縦断側面図を示すもので、書架1は、左右の側面板2、2と中間側面板3との間の前後方向の中間部に、前後2枚の背板4、4を固着し、各背板4の前方及び後方の側面板2と中間側面板3との間に、若干上向き傾斜状に複数の棚板5を取付けることにより、書籍Bを前後両面から収納し得るようになっている。
