Claims (3)
- 先端に当接封鎖部材を具えるレ−ザ光照射ノズルをこの当接封鎖部材を重ね合わせた金属材の表面に押付けて内部に封鎖ガス室を形成する一方、この封鎖ガス室を経てレ−ザ光を前記金属材の表面上の溶接すべき溶接点に照射して溶接する際に、
溶接に先立って前記当接封鎖部材を押付けて形成される前記封鎖ガス室に封鎖ガスを噴射充満させ、この封鎖ガスの圧力が所定値若しくはそれ以上に達したときにレ−ザ光出射ユニットから出射したレ−ザビ−ムを前記封鎖ガス室を経て前記レーザ光照射ノズルから照射し、
加圧シリンダにより前記当接封鎖部材で前記金属材を押圧して溶接し、
前記レーザ光照射ノズルのハウジングの先端近傍に設けた排出孔から、前記封鎖ガスとともに溶接時に発生するヒュームや溶融ガスを排出し、
前記レーザ光照射ノズルの外部において、前記封鎖ガス室内の圧力を検出することを特徴とする金属材料のレ−ザスポット溶接方法。 - 前記所定値を大気圧とし、前記封鎖ガス室内の圧力を大気圧若しくはそれ以上に保つことを特徴とする請求項1記載の金属材料のレ−ザスポット溶接方法。
- 前記レ−ザビ−ム通路内の圧力変化を連続的に測定し、この圧力変化により溶接中における前記レ−ザ照射ノズルからのヒュ−ム、溶融ガス、レ−ザビ−ムのもれを検出することを特徴とする請求項1記載の金属材料のレ−ザスポット溶接方法。
