Description
Claims (4)
- 衛星ソースからパケット化プログラムストリームを受信し、データネットワークを通じて前記パケット化データストリームを配信する方法であって、
前記衛星ソースから複数のパケット化プログラムストリームを受信し、各パケット化プログラムストリームは関連するプログラム識別情報を有するステップと、
特定のパケット化プログラムストリームの要求を受信し、前記要求はマルチキャストアドレスを有するステップと、
所定のアルゴリズムと前記マルチキャストアドレスとを使用して、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームに関連するプログラム識別情報及び衛星識別情報を決定するステップと、
前記決定された衛星識別情報及びプログラム識別情報を使用して、選択された衛星に同調し、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームを取得するステップと、
前記データネットワークで、前記マルチキャストアドレスを使用して前記データネットワークに関連するトランスポート形式に従って前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームを伝送するステップと
を有し、
前記データネットワークは、Ethernet(登録商標)ベースネットワークを有し、
前記伝送するステップは、インターネットプロトコルトランスポート形式に従って前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームをカプセル化することを有し、
前記決定するステップは、前記マルチキャストアドレスに応じたプログラムID(PID)と衛星番号とトランスポンダ番号とを決定することを有し、
前記決定するステップは、前記マルチキャストアドレスの所定のビット位置から、プログラムID(PID)と衛星番号とトランスポンダ番号とを決定することを有する方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記プログラムID(PID)は前記マルチキャストアドレスの0−12ビットに配置され、前記衛星番号は13−15ビットに配置され、前記トランスポンダ番号は18−22ビットに配置される方法。 - パケット化プログラムストリームを受信し、データネットワークを通じて前記パケット化プログラムストリームを配信する方法であって、
信号ソースから複数のパケット化プログラムストリームを受信し、各パケット化プログラムストリームは関連するプログラム識別情報を有するステップと、
特定のパケット化プログラムストリームの要求を受信し、前記要求はマルチキャストアドレスを有するステップと、
所定のアルゴリズムと前記マルチキャストアドレスとを使用して、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームに関連するプログラム識別情報を決定するステップと、
前記決定されたプログラム識別情報を使用して、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームを取得するステップと、
前記データネットワークで、前記マルチキャストアドレスを使用して前記データネットワークに関連するトランスポート形式に従って前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームを伝送するステップと
を有し、
前記データネットワークは、Ethernet(登録商標)ベースネットワークを有し、
前記伝送するステップは、インターネットプロトコルトランスポート形式に従って前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームをカプセル化することを有し、
前記決定するステップは、前記マルチキャストアドレスに応じたプログラムID(PID)番号を決定することを有し、
前記決定するステップは、前記マルチキャストアドレスの所定のビット位置から、プログラムID(PID)を決定することを有する方法。 - データネットワークでパケット化プログラムストリームを受信する方法であって、
前記データネットワークに結合された第2の装置で、複数のパケット化プログラムストリームから特定のパケット化プログラムストリームのユーザ要求を受信するステップと、
前記第2の装置で、所定のアルゴリズムと、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームに関連する識別情報とを使用して、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームに関連するマルチキャストアドレスを決定するステップと、
前記第2の装置で、前記複数のパケット化プログラムストリームのソースに結合された第1の装置に前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームの要求を伝送し、前記要求はマルチキャストアドレスを有するステップと、
前記第2の装置で、前記データネットワークから、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームが含まれており、前記マルチキャストアドレスに関連するパケット化データを取得するステップと、
前記第2の装置で、前記取得されたパケット化データから前記パケット化プログラムストリームを得るステップと
を有し、
前記データネットワークは、Ethernet(登録商標)ベースネットワークを有し、
前記取得するステップは、インターネットプロトコルトランスポート形式に従ってカプセル化された前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームを取得することを有し、
前記複数のパケット化プログラムストリームは、衛星信号ソースから受信され、
前記決定するステップは、前記特定のパケット化プログラムストリームに関連するプログラムID(PID)と衛星番号とトランスポンダ番号とに応じて、前記マルチキャストアドレスを決定し、
前記決定するステップは、前記マルチキャストアドレスの所定のビット位置に、プログラムID(PID)と衛星番号とトランスポンダ番号とをマッピングすることを有する方法。
