Description

The present invention relates to a water meter box unit in which various devices such as a primary side water stop valve and a secondary side check valve necessary for the water meter are installed in a box in advance.

Conventionally, when installing water meters, various equipment such as meter boxes, water meters, water stopcocks, and check valves have been brought to the site independently and connected individually in sequence. It was done. For this reason, the construction time is long, the pipe quality is likely to be non-uniform, and problems such as water leakage occur. In addition, water meters need to be replaced periodically based on the Measurement Act. When the meter is replaced, once the meter installed on the pipe is removed, axial displacement occurs in the front and rear pipes, and the core during reconnection work There are cases where it is very difficult to put out the work, and there is a problem that the stability of the work cannot be secured.

Therefore, a so-called water meter unit has been devised in which a pair of joints are unitized by holding them in series at a fixed distance, and a water meter is attached between the joints (for example, Patent Document 1). reference). A box unit in which various devices are previously stored in a box is also known (see Patent Document 2).

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2002-21124

Of the above prior art, the water meter unit disclosed in Patent Document 1 is composed of a pressure-welded joint having a movable receiving portion capable of axial movement of one joint, and the water meter is sandwiched between the other fixed joint. Since it is the structure to perform, although the replacement | exchange operation | work of a water meter can be performed easily, the concrete measure is not disclosed about accommodating this in a meter box. That is, when the unit is accommodated in the meter box, when the water meter is attached, the connection stress accompanying the axial movement of the movable receiving portion acts in the axial direction via the water meter, and tries to expand the meter box. . For this reason, when the meter box is made of synthetic resin, the box may be deformed. In this regard, according to the meter unit disclosed in Patent Document 2, a pipe unit including a water meter is framed with an annular frame, and the annular frame is inserted into the box. The box is reinforced and the above deformation can be avoided to some extent.

However, it is necessary to fit the annular frame into the box, and it is necessary to process the edge of the plate according to the internal shape of the box. This processing takes time and the internal shape of the box is not the same. Lack. Moreover, in order to exhibit sufficient reinforcing performance, it is necessary to use a plate having a considerable thickness, and accordingly, the above processing further takes time. Furthermore, the plate-like frame is vulnerable to twisting, and the frame may be damaged by ground motion.

The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and the object of the present invention is to connect pipes on-site by storing equipment necessary for installing a water meter in a box in advance to form a unit. It is to provide a meter box unit for water supply that can significantly reduce the time, labor, and construction cost required for the construction, and can eliminate the construction mistake and make the construction quality uniform. Moreover, when it accommodates in resin-made boxes, it is also the objective of this invention to disclose the reinforcement structure of the said box.

In order to achieve the above-described object, in the present invention, an upstream and a downstream connection part, a synthetic resin meter box provided with mounting holes for the connection part on each of two opposing side walls, A meter unit including at least a water meter, and a reinforcing structure that protects the meter box from a connection stress of the water meter with respect to the connecting portion, the reinforcing structure including the mounting hole; And is inserted from the tip of the connecting portion protruding to the outside of the meter box, and is fastened to the outside of the two side walls of the meter box by fastening a nut to the protruding connecting portion. a pair of reinforcing plates, and a restraining bar is retainable crosslink distance of the reinforcing plate in parallel with the meter unit to said pair of reinforcing plates Using a means of formation.

In the second aspect, the restraining rod is provided inside the meter box, and in the third aspect, outside the meter box, means for bridging at least two pairs between the reinforcing plates is used.

In Claim 4, the means of attaching a water meter so that attachment or detachment is possible by the press-contacting joint provided in the one connection part side was used. According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, the meter unit further includes a water stop cock provided at the upstream connection portion and a check valve provided at the downstream connection portion.

According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, there is used a means in which the meter box is configured by dividing the lower box body including the connecting portion and the upper box body that can be hermetically engaged with the lower box body into upper and lower parts.

In the seventh aspect, means for providing a reinforcing rib in the lower box is used.

In the eighth aspect of the invention, means is used in which the side wall of the upper box has a slope that spreads downward while the side wall of the lower box has a slope opposite to that of the upper box.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the meter unit necessary for installing the water meter is previously incorporated in the meter box, the installation of the water meter is completed only by connecting the connecting portion to the upstream side and the downstream side piping at the site. In addition to greatly shortening the time and labor required for pipe connection and construction costs, it is possible to eliminate construction mistakes and make the construction quality uniform. In addition, since the meter box is made of synthetic resin, it is easier to mold and mass-produce and is lighter than a casting. Further, since the meter box is reinforced by a reinforcing plate whose distance between the connecting portions is kept constant by a restraining rod, the meter box is not deformed by water pressure during water flow or connection stress when a water meter is attached or detached. Also, by providing at least two pairs of restraining rods, a structure that is resistant to twisting can be obtained. In particular, according to the third aspect, by using a pressure welding joint as a water meter connection structure, conventional screw joints with cap nuts can be eliminated, and replacement and replacement of the water meter can be easily performed without tools. In addition, since the meter box is divided into two parts, and a unit of various equipment including a water meter is provided in the lower box, it can be easily done with the upper box removed during connection work. The body is hermetically sealed only by aligning the engaging convex portion and the engaging concave portion, and foreign matter can be easily prevented from entering the box. Furthermore, since the reinforcing ribs are provided on the lower box, the rigidity of the box is further increased, and deformation and breakage can be reliably prevented. In addition, since the side wall of the lower box body has an inverse slope with respect to the side wall of the upper box body, the function of preventing settlement is exhibited without using a settlement prevention plate.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a front sectional view of a water meter box unit according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a partially cutaway side view in which only an upper box to be described later is sectioned. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an upper box of the meter box, 2 denotes a lower box of the meter box, both of which have flanges 1a and 2a at their mating ports, and a plurality of engagements provided on the flanges 1a and 2a. It functions as a sealable positioning member by matching the convex portion 2b with the engaging concave portion 1b. In this embodiment, in order to close the existing box opening of the upper box 1 and further improve the sealing performance, a semicircular (semicircular) convex portion 2c and concave portion 1c are provided. The upper box 1 is provided with a lid 3 that can be opened and closed on the upper surface, while the lower box 2 is preinstalled with an equipment unit such as a water meter and a reinforcing structure.

That is, in the lower box 2, 4 and 5 are connecting portions provided on two opposing side walls, which are respectively connected to the upstream and downstream pipes. 6 is a water stop valve attached to the upstream connection portion 4, 7 is a pressure weld joint attached to the water stop valve 6, and 8 is a check valve attached to the downstream connection portion 5. A water meter 9 is detachably attached between the stop valves 8. If the cap 7a is rotated so that the cap 7a is tilted forward or backward in the drawing in the drawing, its rotational movement is converted into an axial sliding movement of the movable receiving portion 7c by the internal ratchet mechanism 7b, and the movable receiving portion 7c. By adjusting the amount of protrusion of the water meter 9, the distance from the fixed joint 7 d provided on the check valve 8 is adjusted so as to be opposed thereto, and the water meter 9 is attached and detached. Since this has already been disclosed in Patent Document 1 made by the present applicant, a detailed description thereof will be omitted. In this embodiment, the pressure connection joint 7 is provided on the upstream connection portion 4 side, that is, on the downstream side of the water stop valve 6. However, it is needless to say that the pressure connection joint 7 may be provided on the downstream connection portion 5 side.

Next, as a reinforcing structure of the lower box 2, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a horizontally long metal reinforcing plate 10 is provided outside the two side walls provided with the connecting portions 4 and 5 of the lower box 2 of the meter box. 11 is fixed so as to oppose, and metal restraining rods 12 and 13 are bridged between the reinforcing plates 10 and 11. More specifically, as shown in FIG. 4, the two opposite side walls provided with the connecting portions 4 and 5 in the lower box body 2, that is, the two side walls opposed in the direction in which the connection stress or water pressure is applied by the pressure welding joint 7, The connection holes 4 and 5 are formed with mounting holes 2d, and the bolt holes 2e of the restraining rods 12 and 13 are formed on the left and right of the mounting hole 2d on the same center line. In such a configuration of the lower box body 2, the reinforcing plates 10 and 11 are inserted into the connection portions 4 and 5 attached to the attachment hole 2d so as not to be removable outside the meter box, and the connection portions 4 and 5 are interposed between them. The restraining rods 12 and 13 are inserted while being sandwiched between the two. Next, by tightening and fixing the ends of the connecting portions 4 and 5 and the restraining rods 12 and 13 protruding from the reinforcing plates 10 and 11 on the outside of the lower box 2 with nuts 14 and 15 (see also FIG. 5) ) The connecting portions 4 and 5, the reinforcing plates 10 and 11, and the restraining rods 12 and 13 are assembled into the lower box 2. After this integration, the water stop valve 6, the pressure joint 7 and the check valve 8 can be attached to each of the connecting portions 4 and 5.

In this way, by incorporating various devices together with the reinforcing structure in the lower box 2, the piping work at the site is only the connecting parts 4 and 5, and the time, labor, and cost required for construction can be greatly reduced. The lower box 2 from the connection stress of the pressure joint 7 generated when the water meter 9 is attached by the reinforcing plates 10 and 11 maintained at a distance by the restraining rods 12 and 13 and the water pressure generated when water is passed after the meter is installed. Is protected, and deformation and breakage can be prevented. Further, in the present embodiment, the reinforcing plates 10 and 11 are formed by forming the mounting holes 2d of the connecting portions 4 and 5 and the bolt holes 2e of the restraining rods 12 and 13 on the same center line as described above. Since the restraining rods 12 and 13 are positioned in the same plane as the pipe of the water meter 9 or the like, the strength against stress is further improved. Further, the lower box 2 is also reinforced by a large number of ribs 16 provided on the outer periphery of the lower box 2 shown in FIG. Of course, the reinforcing ribs 16 can be provided inside the lower box 2, and the upper box 1 is preferably provided as appropriate.

In the above embodiment, the restraining rods 12 and 13 are bridged inside the meter box. However, as shown by 2e 'in FIG. 4, by providing the bolt hole 2e' outside the meter box, the restraining rods 12 and 13 are provided. You may bridge | crosslink 13 so that it may be located outside a meter box. By doing so, there is an advantage that a complicated arrangement configuration inside the meter box is eliminated, and cleaning, maintenance, and the like in the box are facilitated. In this case, the positions of the mounting holes 2d of the connecting portions 4 and 5 are lowered so that the bolt holes 2e 'of the restraining rods 12 and 13 are centered on the same line, and the connecting portions 4 and 5, the meter unit, and the restraining rods 12 and 13 are connected. Although it is preferable to position the axis on the same plane as in the above embodiment, the configuration need not be limited to this. The same applies to the case where the restraining rods 12 and 13 are bridged in the meter box as in the above embodiment. Further, the thickness and the like of the reinforcing plates 10 and 11 and the thickness and number of the restraining rods 12 and 13 can be appropriately changed according to the desired strength. In this regard, in the above embodiment, since the pressure joint 7 is employed as the detachable structure of the water meter 9, it is necessary to be able to withstand the connection stress. For example, when a screw joint structure using a cap nut is employed. Since the connection stress is absorbed by the pipe itself, the reinforcing plates 10 and 11 and the restraining rods 12 and 13 can be of lower strength than when the press-fit joint 7 is used.
