Description

本発明は、一般に、エアロゾル化の分野に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、液体(例えば、使用者による吸入用の薬物処方物)のエアロゾル化に関する。1つの特定の局面において、本発明は、エアロゾル発生器を使用したエアロゾルの生成に関する。このエアロゾル発生器は、吸入した息の残りが、有効解剖学的死腔からの任意の吸入エアロゾルを浄化して、気道の標的化部分(例えば、肺)にこの吸入エアロゾルを移動させるのを可能にするように選択された時間にて、エアロゾル生成を停止するように構成されている。
本発明は、エアロゾルの肺への移動を容易にする技術およびそのように設計されたデバイスを提供する。この技術およびデバイスは、エアロゾルが要求に応じて生成される適用において特に有用である。これは、例えば、使用者がマウスピースから吸入する場合に、エアロゾルを生成し得る。使用者が吸入し続けると、エアロゾルは、肺に送達される。いくつかの場合において、生成されたエアロゾルの最後の部分は、肺まで到達することができない。このエアロゾルの最後の部分は、単に、吸入器のマウスピースの出口と気道の標的化部分(例えば、肺)への入口との間の、いわゆる死腔を満たすだけである。
本発明は、エアロゾルの肺または気道の他の標的領域への輸送を容易にするように設計された技術およびデバイスを提供する。これらの技術およびデバイスは、エアロゾルが需要に応じて発生される適用において特に有用である。このことは、例えば、使用者がマウスピースを介して吸入して、エアロゾルの生成を引き起こす場合に生じ得る。使用者が吸入を続けるにつれて、エアロゾルは、肺に送達される。幾つかの場合において、発生されたエアロゾルの最後の部分は、肺に到達しないかもしれない。このエアロゾルの最後の部分は、吸入器マウスピースの出口と気道の標的化部分(例えば、肺)への入口との間のいわゆる死腔を単に満たす。
Claims (7)
- マウスピースを有するハウジングと、
該ハウジング内に配置されたエアロゾル発生器と、
流量を測定するためのフローセンサと、
該エアロゾル発生器の作動を制御するためのコントローラーと
を備える、エアロゾル化デバイスであって、
該コントローラーは、該フローセンサからの信号であって、該マウスピースを介して吸入する場合に使用者によって閾値流量が達成されたことを示す信号を受信すると、該エアロゾル発生器の作動を開始し、呼吸の継続により実質的に全ての生成されたエアロゾルが使用者の肺に送達されるように選択される作動時間の経過後に、該エアロゾル発生器の作動を停止するように構成され、該コントローラーは、呼吸からの一般的にエアロゾルを含まない追い出し空気により所定の死腔容積を本質的に満たすための送達時間の概算である所定の保存された値を含み、該コントローラーは、該所定の保存された値を用いて該作動時間を計算するように構成され、該コントローラーは、該エアロゾル化デバイスの初期化段階の間に該流量が該閾値流量を超えている時間の長さに等しい初期化時間を計算および保存するように構成され、該コントローラーは、該初期化時間から該所定の保存された値を引くことによって該作動時間を計算するようにさらに構成される、デバイス。 - 前記エアロゾル発生器は、複数のアパーチャを有するプレートと、アパーチャプレートを振動させるように前記コントローラーに結合された圧電変換器とを備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記アパーチャプレートの形状は、ドーム型形状であり、前記アパーチャは、テーパー状である、請求項2に記載のデバイス。
- 前記フローセンサは、前記流量に関する電気信号を生成し、該電気信号を前記コントローラーに送信するように構成される、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記死腔容積は、上気道容積の概算である、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記コントローラーは、前記作動時間を保存するためのランダムアクセスメモリを備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 液体を前記エアロゾル発生器に提供するように前記ハウジング内に配置された液体の供給をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
