図5は、本発明の別の一例としての実施の形態による極低温治療装置68の図である。極低温治療装置68は、末端部分74に沿って幾つかの直線状に配置した剥離先端72を有するカテーテル本体70を備えており、該剥離先端は、極低温冷却流体と流体的に連通するよう配置されたとき、心臓の標的箇所内に線状の伝導遮断箇所を形成する形態とされている。剥離先端72の各々は、挿入されたとき、心臓組織を穿刺し且つ、心臓組織と接触する形態とされた針状の形状を有する、上述した先端50と同様の形態とすることができる。針72及び管腔76の数は、図示するものと同一とし、又は、上述した方法にて任意の数の管腔76に対し2つの針72のように少なくしてもよい。装置70の基端付近にて加圧した極冷却剤の供給源と流体的に連通した内管腔76は、極低温治療装置10に関して上述したものと同様の要領にて剥離先端72の各々を冷却する形態とされている。極低温治療装置70は、また、剥離先端72が心臓組織に経壁的に挿入される正確な深さを測定する超音波プローブ又はその他の測定手段(図示せず)を選択的に有することもできる。カテーテル本体70を取り囲む絶縁層78は、本体70を身体の他の領域を剥離しないよう本体70を熱的に絶縁する。
Claims (17)
- 身体内の標的箇所にて制御された壊死を誘発させる医療装置において、
基端部分と、末端部分と、冷却流体と流体的に連通したその内部の少なくとも1つの管腔とを有する細長い部材と、
該細長い部材の末端に連結され、組織と接触し且つ、組織を剥離する形態とされた複数の剥離先端と、
組織内への前記複数の剥離先端の経壁的深さを制御する手段とを備える、身体内の標的箇所にて制御された壊死を誘発させる医療装置。 - 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記細長い部材は、前記冷却流体に対する受け入れ管腔を画成する内側軸と、前記冷却流体に対する排出管腔を画成する外側軸とを備える、医療装置。
- 請求項2に記載の医療装置において、前記内側軸は、冷却流体を前記取り入れ管腔から前記排出管腔内に噴出する形態とされた少なくとも1つの開口を有する、医療装置。
- 請求項3に記載の医療装置において、前記少なくとも1つの開口は絞り要素を備える、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記冷却流体は極冷却剤である、医療装置。
- 請求項5に記載の医療装置において、前記極冷却剤は液体亜酸化窒素である、医療装置。
- 請求項5に記載の医療装置において、前記極冷却剤は、液体窒素、二酸化炭素、クロロジフルオロメタン、ポリジメチルシロキサン、エチルアルコール及びクロロフルオロカーボンから成る群から選ばれる、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端の経壁的深さを制御する前記手段は超音波プローブを備える、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端の経壁的深さを制御する前記手段は制御ワイヤーを備える、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端は、前記細長い部材の末端部分内に後退可能である、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端は、前記細長い部材の末端部分に沿って直線状に配置される、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端は、前記細長い部材の末端部分の周りにて半径方向に配置される、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端は、前記標的箇所に線状の伝導遮断箇所を形成する形態とされる、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記細長い部材の末端部分は半径方向に拡大される、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記細長い部材を標的箇所まで輸送する形態とされた案内部材を更に備える、医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置において、前記複数の剥離先端は針状の剥離先端を備える、医療装置。
- 身体内の標的箇所にて制御された壊死を誘発させる医療装置において、
基端部分と、末端部分と、冷却流体と流体的に連通したその内部の複数の管腔とを有する細長い部材と、
前記細長い部材の末端部分に連結されて、組織と接触し且つ、組織を剥離する形態とされた複数の後退可能な剥離先端と、
前記複数の後退可能な剥離先端を前記組織内に後退させる形態とされた少なくとも1つの制御ワイヤーとを備える、身体内の標的箇所にて制御された壊死を誘発させる医療装置。
