【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、車両のアウトハンドル装置に関し、特に、一端部がドアアウターパネルに回動可能に支承されるハンドル本体と、非操作状態に在る前記ハンドル本体の他端に対向してドアアウターパネルに取付けられるカバーと、車両ユーザのドア施錠意思を車両ユーザが触れるときの押圧力でスイッチング態様を変化させることによって確認するための施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段とを備える車両のアウトハンドル装置の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
このようなアウトハンドル装置は、携帯送・受信機を有する車両ユーザが車両から離れることにより、前記携帯送・受信機と、車両側に配設される車両側送・受信機との間での信号の送・受信が不能となることによってドアを自動的にロックするようにしたスマートエントリーシステム等で用いられており、車両ユーザが車両から遠ざからないとロック状態とならないのでは防盗性が低下するので、従来のアウトハンドル装置では、車両ユーザのドア施錠意思を確認するための施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段が、車両ユーザが触れることによりスイッチング態様を変化させて車両ユーザの施錠意思を確認すべくハンドル本体に配設されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、上記従来のようにハンドル本体にスイッチが配設される構成では、車両ユーザがドアを開放操作するためにハンドル本体を握ったときにスイッチに誤って触れる可能性があり、そのスイッチの誤操作による誤作動を生じてしまう可能性もある。

本発明は、かかる事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段の誤操作が生じることを極力回避し得るようにした車両のアウトハンドル装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、請求項1記載の発明は、一端部がドアアウターパネルに回動可能に支承されるハンドル本体と、非操作状態に在る前記ハンドル本体の他端に対向してドアアウターパネルに取付けられるカバーと、車両ユーザのドア施錠意思を確認するため外面に押圧力が作用するように車両ユーザが触れることでスイッチング態様を変化する施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段とを備える車両のアウトハンドル装置において、前記施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段が前記カバーに配設されることを特徴とする。

このような請求項1記載の発明の構成によれば、車両ユーザがドアを開放すべくハンドル本体を握って開放操作しても、ユーザの手がカバーに接触する機会は少なく、したがって施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段の誤操作が生じることを極力回避することができる。

また請求項2記載の発明は、上記請求項1記載の発明の構成に加えて、前記カバーの一部を構成してドアアウターパネルに固定されるカバー部材に、該カバー部材の外面側に開放した第1凹部と、第1凹部との間に隔壁を介在させて前記ドアアウターパネル側に開放した第2凹部と、第1凹部の中央部に配置されて前記隔壁から突出する突部と、両端を開放して前記突部および隔壁に設けられる装着孔とが設けられ、前記カバー部材のドアアウターパネルへの固定に応じて前記第2凹部に押し込まれるスイッチホルダの前記隔壁側の端部に保持される基板と、該基板上に設けられて前記装着孔に挿入されるタクトスイッチと、前記タクトスイッチに接触して第1凹部の外部開口端を覆うとともに第1凹部の内周面全周および前記突部の外周面全周に弾発的に接触して前記カバー部材に装着されるエラストマー製の押しボタンとで前記施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段が構成され、第2凹部の内周面および前記スイッチホルダの外周間にシール部材が介装され、前記基板に連なるハーネスが前記スイッチホルダに装着されるグロメットを貫通してスイッチホルダ内からドアアウターパネルの内方に延出されることを特徴とする。

このような請求項2記載の発明の構成によれば、施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段は、カバーの一部を構成するカバー部材の第2凹部に押し込まれるスイッチホルダに保持される基板と、第2凹部に連なる装着孔に挿入されるようにして前記基板上に設けられるタクトスイッチと、第2凹部との間に隔壁を介在させた第1凹部の外部開口端を覆ってカバー部材に装着されて前記タクトスイッチに接触するエラストマー製の押しボタンとで構成されており、カバー部材の外方から押しボタンに触れることでタクトスイッチのスイッチング態様を変化させるようにして、該スイッチ手段の操作性を高め、車両ユーザのドア施錠意思を容易に確認することができる。しかも第1凹部の中央部に配置されて隔壁から突出する突部の外周面全周と、第1凹部の内周面全周に押しボタンが弾発的に接触し、隔壁側の端部に基板を保持して第2凹部に押し込まれるスイッチホルダの外周面および第2凹部の内周面に無端状のシール部材が介装され、基板に連なるハーネスはスイッチホルダに装着されるグロメットを貫通してドアアウターパネルの内方に延出されるので、タクトスイッチと、カバー部材およびスイッチホルダとの間に水が浸入することを確実に防止することができ、施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段の周辺部で水の凍結が生じても、施錠意思確認用スイッチ手段の作動部で凍結が生じることはなく、凍結時にも該スイッチ手段を容易に操作することができる。

先ず図1および図2において、たとえば乗用車両が備えるサイドドア11のドアアウターパネル12には、本発明に従うアウトハンドル装置が取り付けられており、該アウトハンドル装置は、車両の前後方向(図1および図2の左右方向)に延びる合成樹脂製のハンドル本体13と、該ハンドル本体13の一端側でドアアウターパネル12に取付けられる金属製のベース部材14と、前記ハンドル本体13の他端側でドアアウターパネル12に取付けられる合成樹脂製のカバー15とを備える。

ハンドル本体13は、合成樹脂により形成されるものであり、中空状にして車両の前後方向に延びる把持部13aと、該把持部13aの一端部に一体に設けられる支持腕部13bと、前記把持部13aの他端部に一体に設けられるガイド腕部13cとを備える。

ドアアウターパネル12には、把持部13aおよびドアアウターパネル12間に車両ユーザの手を挿入することを可能とするための窪み18を形成するための彎曲部12aが内方側に膨らむようにして設けられ、前記彎曲部12aを車両の前後方向に沿う前後両側から挟む位置でドアアウターパネル12には、わずかに凹んだ第1および第2取付け座19,20が、ハンドル本体13の両端部にそれぞれ対応するようにして設けられる。

第1取付け座19には、合成樹脂から成る第1シート部材21を第1取付け座19との間に介在させたベース部材14がボルト22により締結される。このベース部材14には、第1シート部材21およびドアアウターパネル12を貫通してドアアウターパネル12の内方に挿入されるハンドル支持部14aが一体に設けられる。またハンドル本体13の一端側の支持腕部13bは、ベース部材14、第1シート部材21およびドアアウターパネル12を貫通してドアアウターパネル12の内方に挿入され、支持腕部13bが支持ピン23を介してハンドル支持部14aに回動可能に支承される。すなわちハンドル本体13の一端部は、ベース部材14を介してドアアウターパネル12に回動可能に支承されるものであり、ハンドル本体13の一端部およびベース部材14間には、ハンドル本体13を非操作位置に戻す側に付勢するばね(図示せず)が設けられる。

図3において、カバー15は、非操作状態にあるハンドル本体13の他端に対向するようにしてドアアウターパネル12に取付けられるものであり、このカバー15で覆われる部分でドアアウターパネル12には、キーシリンダ錠24のシリンダボディ25と一体のブラケット26が、ドアアウターパネル12の外側からねじ込まれるボルト29により締結される。またドアアウターパネル12を前記ブラケット26との間に挟むシリンダカバー30がシリンダボディ25にボルト31により結合されており、キーシリンダ錠24のシリンダボディ25は、シリンダカバー30に設けられた貫通孔32を貫通するように配置され、また前記ボルト29の頭部を収容配置するための収容孔33がシリンダカバー30に設けられる。
