本発明に於いて上記課題を達成するために、請求項1の発明では、裏面が容器本体のフランジ部にシールされる蓋材で、該フランジ部と略同外形で、外周縁に開封用プルタブと湯切り口開口用プルタブを有し、少なくとも紙層を有する基材の裏面にシーラント層が積層されている層構成の湯切り機能付蓋材において、前記基材の表面より開封用プルタブが連設する非剥離領域と湯切り口開口用プルタブが連設する剥離領域の境界線にミシン目もしくは折り罫が施され、前記剥離領域内のシーラント層から基材を構成する紙層の略中間まで1個乃至複数個の湯切り口形成用ハーフカットが刻設されており、前記湯切り口開口用プルタブを引っ張り上げて、剥離領域の基材を構成する紙層の略中間から層間剥離するとともに、この紙層に接着している前記湯切り口形成用ハーフカット領域内の基材、シーラント層でなる層を切り離し、層間剥離されて残った紙層を有する基材、シーラント層でなる湯切り口を形成するようにしたことを特徴とする湯切り機能付蓋材としたものである。
