Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material with drain function to drain hot water to be injected into instant food such as fried Chinese noodle which reduces a production cost by an easily peelable layer conventionally used and the reduction of the number of processes for half cut formation or a reduction of materials or the like and also has excellent barrier property. <P>SOLUTION: The lid material 1 is formed of a paper layer 31, an aluminum foil 19 with gas barrier property, and a sealant layer 16 which are laminated and sealed to a flange 21 of a container body 2. 本発明は、焼きそばなど即席食品の密封包装に使用する容器の蓋材に関するものであり、特に乾燥状態の即席食品を柔らかくほぐすために注入する熱湯を排出するための湯切孔を備えた即席食品容器用湯切孔付蓋材に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、焼きそば、スパゲティ、赤飯などを食するに際し、熱湯を注いで所定時間経過した後に、湯切り作業を必要とする即席食品容器が知られ、その即席食品容器等の湯切り機能付蓋材は、例えば、図5の側断面図に示すように、突き破り用孔(77)が穿設された紙層を主体とする表面シート(20)の裏面にアルミニウム箔(19)とシーラント層(16)を積層したものがあるが、この蓋材では、搬送中などで意に反して突き破り用孔(77)が破れたり、また湯切りに際しては、箸などで突き破り用孔(77)からアルミニウム箔(19)とシーラント層(16)を突き破らなければならず、よって箸などを必要とすることや破られた開口部の大きさや形状が一定にならないのでスムーズな湯切りができず、また破りカスが内部の食品等に混入する危惧があるなどの問題点があった。

これらの問題を解決するものとして最近開発された湯切り機能付蓋材として、例えば図6(a)の側断面図および図6(b)の上面図に示すような即席食品を密封包装するための湯切り口付剥離性蓋材(3)がある。それは、紙層を主体とする表面シート(20)を外面側にして、その内面側(食品側)に複合シート(10)(内面から例えばシーラント層(16)/アルミニウム箔(19)/接着性樹脂層(15)でなる)を重ね合わせ積層せしめたシート状で円形状の蓋であり、その蓋の外周円弧部分からその内側にかけて一部領域の前記複合シート(10)と表面シート(20)との重ね合わせ内面には、易剥離剤(剥離ニス)を塗布することによって形成された易剥離層(30)による易剥離領域(L1)を備え、それ以外の該複合シート(10)と表面シート(20)との重ねあわせ内面には、接着された状態の接着領域(L2)を備えている。

そして、上記易剥離領域(L1)内における複合シート(10)に1箇所乃至複数個所には、内径Rの湯切孔形状の湯切孔形成用ハーフカット(50)が形成され、この湯切孔形成用ハーフカット(50)領域内の複合シート(10)と表面シート(20)の内面には内径rのハーフカット領域内接着部(60)(易剥離層(30)の形成されない部分)が設けられていて、複合シート(10)と表面シート(20)とはハーフカット領域内接着部(60)において互いに接着している。

さらに、例えば易剥離領域(L1)と接着領域(L2)の境界線に表面シート面よりミシン目(22)が施され、このミシン目(22)よりやや易剥離領域(L1)側の周縁に表面シート剥離用プルタブ(13)が形成されている湯切り口付剥離性蓋材(3)である。

上記のような構造の即席食品容器の湯切り口付剥離性蓋材(3)は、図7の側断面図に示すように、例えば焼きそば等即席食品(図示せず)を入れた容器本体(2)の上端部にあるフランジ部(21)にイージーピール性を有するシーラントで接着シールして容器本体(2)を密封包装することにより即席食品等を密封包装した即席食品用容器となるものである。

上記のようにして即席食品を密封包装した即席食品用容器は、図6(b)に示す接着領域(L2)側の蓋材外周にある開封用プルタブ(12)を引っ張り上げて、図7に示す容器本体(2)のフランジ部(21)からイージーピール性を有する接着領域(L2)側の複合シート(10)を部分的に剥がして開口し、その開口部より熱湯を注入した後、蓋材外周にある開封用プルタブを再度フランジ部(21)の外側に折り込むようにして施蓋し、数分間放置して容器(2)の中にある即席食品(図示せず)を柔らかくほぐす。

その後、図8の斜視図に示すように、易剥離領域(L1)の外周にある表面シート剥離用プルタブ(13)を引っ張り上げて、ミシン目(22)に沿ってそのミシン目(22)を順順に破りながら易剥離領域(L1)の表面シート(20)を複合シート(10)から剥離するとともに、該表面シート(20)に接着している湯切孔形成用ハーフカット領域内の複合シート(10)を切り離し、表面シート(20)が剥離されて残っている複合シート(10)に内径Rの安定した大きさの湯切孔(70)を形成した後、容器本体(2)を開封用プルタブ(12)側と反対側に傾けて、中にある湯を湯切孔(70)から排出することができるようになっているものもある。

このように湯切孔(70)の開口に、箸などを必要とせず、かつ安定して一定の大きさと形状の湯切孔(70)が形成され、よってスムーズな湯切りができ、また破りカス等もでない優れた効果を発揮する即席食品容器用の湯切り口付剥離性蓋材(3)である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記湯切り口付剥離性蓋材(3)とその技術において、図6(a)および図6(b)に示すように、易剥離領域(L1)のための易剥離層(30)の形成に湯切孔形状のパターン塗布を必要とし、そのパターンに合わせた高精度のハーフカット(50)の刻設という高度な技術とそれに要する工程数と材料が嵩み、また、このハーフカット(50)がシーラント層(16)面からアルミニウム箔(19)を貫通して表面シート(20)である紙層手前まで(紙層に僅かに入る)刻設されるので、紙層を必要以上に厚くしなければならず、かつガスバリア層としてのアルミニウム箔(19)は、複数の湯切孔のためのハーフカット(50)で貫通されているので、内容物に対しガスバリア性に劣るという問題点があった。

本発明は、かかる従来技術の問題点を解決するものであり、その課題とするところは、焼きそばなど乾燥状態の即席食品を柔らかくほぐすために注入する熱湯を排出するための湯切機能を備えた湯切り機能付蓋材において、従来のようなパターン塗布を必要とする易剥離層の形成やそのパターンに合わせた高精度のハーフカットの刻設のような技術とそれら工程数と材料等の削減により製造コストが嵩まず、かつ必要以上に表面シートである紙層を厚くせず、ガスバリア性に優れる湯切り機能付蓋材を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に於いて上記課題を達成するために、まず請求項1の発明では、紙層とガスバリア層とシーラント層が積層されてなり、該シーラント層が容器本体のフランジ部にシールされる、該フランジ部と略同形で、外周縁に開封用プルタブを有する蓋材において、前記開封用プルタブと対峙する外周縁近傍に湯切口開口用プルタブが設けられ、該湯切口開口用プルタブの、前記開封用プルタブに近い側の基部端から外周縁に沿って延びる、1乃至複数の谷部と山部でなる波形状のミシン目が表面から紙層を貫通しガスバリア層手前まで刻設され、前記開封用プルタブ側から見た波形状の谷部は容器本体のフランジ部に掛からず、波形状の山部はフランジ部に掛かってシールされていることを特徴とする湯切り機能付蓋材としたものである。

上記請求項1の発明によれば、上記湯切口開口用プルタブの、対峙する開封用プルタブに近い側の基部端から外周縁に沿って延びる、1乃至複数の谷部と山部でなる波形状のミシン目が刻設されていて、前記開封用プルタブ側から見た谷部は容器本体のフランジ部に掛からず、波形状の山部はフランジ部に掛かってシールされているので、この湯切口開口用プルタブを摘んで引っ張り上げると、波形状のミシン目に従って破れて、湯切口開口用プルタブと連なっている部分がフランジ部から剥離され、よってその谷部で湯切口が形成されて開口し、その山部は容器本体のフランジ部に残って容器本体内の湯切りが容易にできる、即ち従来のようなパターン塗布を必要とする易剥離層の形成やそのパターンに合わせた高精度のハーフカットの刻設のような技術と紙層の厚みを必要とせず、よってそれら工程数と材料等の削減により製造コストが嵩まない湯切り機能付蓋材を提供できる。
また、上記波形状のミシン目が、表面から紙層を貫通しガスバリア層手前まで刻設されていて、ガスバリア層には刻設されていないので、バリア性に欠けるという問題がない湯切り機能付蓋材とすることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下本発明の実施の形態を図面を用いて詳細に説明する。

本発明の湯切り機能付蓋材は、図1(a)の上面図およびそのB−B面を表す図2(b)の断面図に示すように、例えば表面に印刷層(32)とそれを保護する保護層(33)を有する紙層(31)とサンドポリエチレンでなる接着性樹脂層(15)を介してガスバリア性を有するアルミニウム箔(19)が積層され、さらにこのアルミニウム箔(19)面にシーラント層(16)が積層されている湯切り機能付蓋材(1)で、このシーラント層(16)が容器本体(2)のフランジ部(21)にシールされていて、このフランジ部(21)と略同形(円形)で、図1(a)の上面図に示すように外周縁に開封用プルタブ(12)を有する湯切り機能付蓋材(1)である。

そこで上記請求項1に係る発明は、図1(a)に示すように、上記開封用プルタブ(12)と対峙する外周縁の僅か左側に湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)が設けられ、この湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)の基部端(14a、14b)のうち、対峙する開封用プルタブ(12)に近い側の基部端(14a)より内面右側に延びる波形状のミシン目(23)が外周縁に沿って刻設されていて、その波形状のミシン目(23)は、開封用プルタブ(12)側から見て3個の谷部(24)と4個の山部(25)でなっていて、この3個の谷部(24)は容器本体のフランジ部(21)に掛からないでシールされていず、また波形状の4個の山部(25)はフランジ部(21)に掛かってシールされている湯切り機能付蓋材(1)である。

なお、図示していないが、例えば上記波形状の4個の山部(25)の中腹まではフランジ部(21)に掛かってシールされているが、その頂点(25a)はフランジ部(21)の外側に外れていても構わない。

さらに上記請求項1に係る発明では、図1(b)に示すように、波形状のミシン目(23)は表面から保護層(33)、紙層(31)を貫通して、アルミニウム箔(19)の手前まで、即ち少なくともアルミニウム箔(19)には届かない程度に刻設されている湯切り機能付蓋材(1)としたものである。

また、上記請求項2に係る発明は、図1(a)に示すように、例えば山部の頂点(25a)が外周縁の内側にある湯切り機能付蓋材(1)とするもので、その山部の頂点(25a)と外周縁との距離(L)としては1〜3mm程度が好ましく、このような距離(L)で湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)と波形状のミシン目(23)より外側の外周縁までの部分が連結されているので、湯切口の開口に際し、例えば図2(a)の斜視図に示すように、湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)を引っ張り上げて、容器本体(2)のフランジ部(21)から剥離すると、上記3個の谷部(24)が一度の操作で開口され、図2(b)の上面図に示すように、3個の湯切口(72)を形成することができる。

上記波形状のミシン目(23)の谷部(24)は、少なくとも1個を必要とし、多くても5個までで、それ以上多くすると剥離される部分が多くなり、開封のための開封用プルタブ(12)をもって剥離される部分に連結する危惧があるので好ましくなく、さらに図2に示す開口された時の湯切口(72)の大きさは、この個数とともに内容物の大きさや湯切り時間との兼ね合いから適宜選定することができる。

また、上記波形状のミシン目(23)の形状としては、図1(a)に示すような破線でもよいが、例えば図3(a)に示すように、開口方向(P)に対しハの字であってもよく、また図3(b)に示すように、開口方向(P)に対し斜め1の字、あるいは図3(c)に示すように、開口方向(P)に対し逆Yの字としてより破れ(引き裂き)易いミシン目(23)とすることもできる。

以下に、本発明の湯切り機能付蓋材(1)に使用される材料等について説明する。
まず、本発明の湯切り機能付蓋材(1)を構成する紙層(31)としては、その表面が印刷適性に優れている必要があるため、紙が主体となり例えば坪量30〜150g/m2 程度の片面アート紙、両面アート紙が好ましく、他に同程度の厚さのコート紙、上質紙なども用いられ、例えば図5(a)に示す従来の湯切り口付剥離性蓋材(3)の表面シート(20)の紙厚に比べ、略50%程度薄い紙厚の紙層(31)とすることができる。

また、本発明の湯切り機能付蓋材(1)を構成するシーラント層(16)としては、例えばヒートシール性に優れる直鎖低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)、無延伸ポリプロピレン(CPP)等のポリオレフィン樹脂あるいはエチレン/酢酸ビニル共重合体(EVA)、エチレン/アクリル酸共重合体(EAA)、エチレン/メタアクリル酸共重合体(EMAA)等エチレン共重合樹脂のフィルムを用いることもできるが、ヒートシール性とともに開封に際する剥離性とのバランス(イージーピール性)を考慮し、これらポリオレフィン樹脂にポリスチレンやポリブデン等からなる、該ポリオレフィン樹脂に対し不相溶性成分を混合したものとする方がより好適である。また、エチレン/酢酸ビニル共重合樹脂、エチレン/アクリル酸共重合樹脂等からなるホットメルト接着剤を塗布量15〜25g/m2 程度で設けてもよく、これらシーラント層(16)によって容器(2)のフランジ部(21)との充分な密封性(シール性)と剥離開封性(イージーピール性)を可能とすることができる。

また、食品等に対する遮光やガスバリアなど保存性を考慮して、ガスバリア層として、特に5〜25μmのアルミニウム箔(19)を使用するのが一般的であり、このアルミニウム箔(19)は、特に本発明の湯切り機能付蓋材(1)のように、開封用プルタブ(12)側から一部(1/3程度)を開封剥離し、その剥離された部分から熱湯を注ぐに時に、蓋材が剥離された状態を保持している性質(デッドホールド性という)を有すると、熱湯を安全に確実に注ぎ易くすることができることから好適に使用される材料である。また、その他バリア層として前記デッドホールド性には欠けるが、遮光性のあるチタンホワイトなどを主成分にした白色インキやカーボンブラックなどを主成分とした黒色インキ、この白色インキと黒色インキを混合した灰色インキ、アルミニウムペーストなどを主成分とした灰色インキ等を用いて表面に遮光印刷したもの、あるいは酸化珪素や酸化アルミニウム等を蒸着したセラミック蒸着ポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムなどを用いてもよい。

また、上記アルミニウム箔(19)を紙層(31)に接着させる接着性樹脂層(15)としては、蓋材の生産性を考慮して、例えば熱溶融押出しによるポリエチレン樹脂、アイオノマー樹脂、ポリプロピレン樹脂等のサンドラミネートが好ましく用いられる。

また、印刷層(32)を保護する保護層(33)としては、例えば厚さ12〜25μmのポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム(PET)、厚さ20〜40μmの二軸延伸ポリプロピレンフィルム(OPP)、厚さ15〜25μmの延伸ナイロンフィルム(ONy)などが用いられ、またいずれをも用いなくとも構わないが、湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)をもって剥離する時、山部の頂点(25a)近傍で連結が切れる危惧があるので、この保護層(33)を設けた方が安定した開口が可能である。

以上のように本発明の湯切り機能付蓋材(1)は、熱湯を注いで柔らかくほぐし、湯切りしてから食する即席焼きそばなどの容器の蓋として、好適に用いることができ、その使用方法は、例えば図1(a)に示すように、まず開封用プルタブ(12)を引っ張り上げながら、約1/3程度までフランジ部(21)から剥離し、その剥離されて開封された部分から熱湯を注いだ後、開封用プルタブ(12)を再度容器のフランジ部(21)の外側に折り込むようにして施蓋し、数分間放置し、内容物である乾燥焼きそばなどを柔らかくほぐす。

その後、図2(a)に示すような湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)を引っ張り上げて、その一方の基部端(14a)より延びる波形状のミシン目(23)に沿って破りながらフランジ部(21)からこの湯切口開口用プルタブ(14)に連結している部分(1a)を剥離し、図2(b)に示すように、波形状のミシン目で破られた山部(25)は容器のフランジ部(21)にシールされたままで、谷部(24)には湯切口(72)を形成して開口する。

続いて図4の斜視図に示すように、容器本体(2)を開封用プルタブ(12)と反対側に傾けて、上記で開口された湯切口(72)から中にある湯(5)を排出することができ、製造コストが嵩まず、かつガスバリア性に欠けるという問題がない湯切り機能付蓋材(1)とすることができる。

【発明の効果】
本発明は以上の構成であるから、下記に示す如き効果がある。
即ち、上記請求項1に係る発明において、紙層とガスバリア層とシーラント層が積層されてなり、該シーラント層が容器本体のフランジ部にシールされる、該フランジ部と略同形で、外周縁に開封用プルタブを有する蓋材において、前記開封用プルタブと対峙する外周縁近傍に湯切口開口用プルタブが設けられ、前記湯切口開口用プルタブの、対峙する開封用プルタブに近い側の基部端から外周縁に沿って延びる、1乃至複数の谷部と山部でなる波形状のミシン目が刻設されていて、前記開封用プルタブ側から見た谷部は容器本体のフランジ部に掛からず、波形状の山部はフランジ部に掛かってシールされているので、この湯切口開口用プルタブを摘んで引っ張り上げると、波形状のミシン目に従って破れて、湯切口開口用プルタブと連なっている部分がフランジ部から剥離され、よってその谷部で湯切口が形成されて開口し、その山部は容器本体のフランジ部に残って容器本体内の湯切りが容易にできる、即ち従来のようなパターン塗布を必要とする易剥離層の形成やそのパターンに合わせた高精度のハーフカットの刻設のような技術と紙層の厚みを必要とせず、よってそれら工程数と材料等の削減により製造コストが嵩まない湯切り機能付蓋材を提供できる。
また、上記波形状のミシン目が、表面から紙層を貫通しガスバリア層手前まで刻設されていて、ガスバリア層には刻設されていないので、バリア性に欠けるという問題がない湯切り機能付蓋材とすることができる。
