【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to fluorocarbonMudMore particularly, the present invention relates to an aqueous composition for vulcanizing a fluororubber comprising an elastic fluorinated copolymer and a specific polyol vulcanizing agent.ThingThe present invention relates to an article having a coating layer formed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A method of vulcanizing a fluororubber aqueous coating composition with a polyamine vulcanizing agent is known (Japanese Patent Publication No. 58-53671). Films obtainable by this method are generally excellent in mechanical properties but poor in sealing properties. In addition, when such a coating is used for the surface coating of rolls used in office automation (OA) equipment (for example, copying machines, printers, etc.), it has the disadvantage of insufficient elasticity and heat resistance. In addition, when a polyamine vulcanizing agent is added to a fluororubber vulcanizing composition, for example, a coating composition, the usable time of the composition is shortened because gelation proceeds. Therefore, a composition of two liquids or more has been prepared and put into practical use, but no practical one-pack composition is known.
[0003]
On the other hand, when fluorinated rubber is vulcanized with a polyol vulcanizing agent, it is possible to prepare a one-pack fluorinated rubber coating composition containing an organic solvent (PCT / JP97 / 02853). However, in recent years, VOC regulations have become stricter and environmentally friendly water-based paints are desired. However, a one-component fluororubber water-based paint composition as an aqueous dispersion containing no organic solvent is not known.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The purpose of the present invention is to, ObedienceAn object of the present invention is to provide an article having a film formed from a conventional fluororubber vulcanizing aqueous composition (coating composition), particularly a fluororubber-coated article in which the above-mentioned drawbacks of rolls for OA equipment are eliminated.
In order to achieve such an object, the present invention provides -CH in the main chain.2-A basic polyol vulcanizing agent composed of a salt of a tertiary amine with a phenyl group and a polyol having at least two hydroxyl groups is added to an aqueous dispersion of an elastic fluorine-containing copolymer containing a repeating unit represented by- An aqueous composition for vulcanizing fluororubberThingAn article in which at least a part of the surface is coated with the coating layer formed from the above is provided.
[0005]

[0006]
An elastic fluorine-containing copolymer is a chain of —CH2It is a fluorine-containing copolymer containing the repeating unit shown by-. A typical example is an elastic fluorine-containing copolymer containing vinylidene fluoride, and a specific example is a copolymer in which the main chain contains a repeating unit having the following structure:
-CF2-CH2-, -CH2-CH2-, And -CH2-CH (CHThree)-At least one repeating unit selected from
-CF2-CF (CFThree)-, -CF2-CF2-And -CF2At least one repeating unit selected from-(ORf) CF- (wherein Rf is a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms).
More specifically, a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene, a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene, a copolymer of ethylene and hexafluoropropylene, a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and propylene. Such as a copolymer. Such elastic fluorine-containing copolymers are "DAIEL" (trademark) (Daikin Industries, Ltd.), "Viton Frome" (trademark) (EI DuPont), "Afras" (trademark) (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.) It is marketed under the trade name. Among these, vinylidene fluoride copolymers are preferable in terms of crosslinkability.
[0007]

In addition, in said (a)-(c), when pKa is less than 8, since a vulcanization speed | rate is reduced, the coating-film intensity | strength obtained becomes low and is not preferable.
[0022]
(d) Organic acid
In the present invention, an organic acid can be added to the composition for the purpose of further improving storage stability.
As the organic acid, an organic acid having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, preferably an organic acid having 1 to 4 carbon atoms is used. An organic acid having more than 12 carbon atoms is not preferable because it remains in the coating film. More preferable organic acids are monocarboxylic acids such as formic acid, acetic acid and propionic acid, and dicarboxylic acids such as oxalic acid, malonic acid and succinic acid.
The organic acid suppresses polyol vulcanization of the fluorinated copolymer contained in the composition during storage. However, when the composition is applied, dried and baked, the organic acid is evaporated or thermally decomposed, and the basic compound accelerates the vulcanization reaction. Therefore, in the present invention, the organic acid is also treated as a “vulcanization accelerator”.
[0023]
The blending ratio of each component in the composition of the present invention is 0.1 to 10 parts by weight, preferably 0.5 to 5 parts by weight, and a vulcanization accelerator based on 100 parts by weight of the fluororubber. 0 to 10 parts by weight, preferably 0.01 to 5 parts by weight. If the amount of the vulcanization accelerator is less than the above lower limit, vulcanization is difficult to occur, whereas if it exceeds the upper limit, vulcanization control may be difficult.
[0024]
(D) Various additives
In the composition of the present invention, in addition to the polyol vulcanizing agent and the vulcanization accelerator, various additives usually added to the fluororubber composition, for example, a filler, a colorant, an acid acceptor and the like are blended. be able to.
Examples of the filler include carbon black, white carbon, calcium carbonate, and barium sulfate, and examples of the colorant include inorganic pigments and composite oxide pigments.
Examples of the acid acceptor include double salts such as magnesium oxide, lead oxide, zinc oxide, lead carbonate, zinc carbonate, and hydrotalcite, but high activity such as calcium hydroxide is not preferable because it easily causes gelation. . A compound having a pKa smaller than the pKa of the basic compound is preferred. When the pKa of the acid acceptor is large, the composition tends to gel. Usually, the acid acceptor can be blended in an amount of 1 to 40 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the fluorine-containing copolymer depending on the activity.
[0025]
(E) Fluororesin and terminal-modified perfluoropolyether
Furthermore, the composition of the present invention includes a fluororesin and a terminal-modified perfluoropolyether (the terminal group is —NH2, -CH2Perfluoropolyether compound which is a functional group capable of reacting with fluorine rubber such as OH) is blended in the range of 5 to 900 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of fluorine rubber, thereby making the obtained coating film non-adhesive. Can be granted. Examples of the fluororesin include polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF), ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE), polychlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE), tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene-perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer ( EPA), tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer (FEP), tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer (PFA), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and the like can be used. Of these, tetrafluoroethylene-based polymers are preferred from the viewpoint of non-adhesiveness. The fluororesin is preferably used in the form of an aqueous dispersion from the viewpoint of dispersibility.
[0026]
The composition of the present invention can be applied and vulcanized in the same manner as a conventional fluorinated copolymer vulcanizing composition. That is, depending on the properties of the composition, it is applied to the object by brushing, spray coating, dip coating, flow coating, dispenser coating, screen coating, etc., and after sufficiently drying, it is 10 to 120 minutes at 150 to 300 ° C. Bake.
[0027]
A surface layer may be further formed on the coating layer formed from the composition of the present invention.
The surface layer can be formed from the above fluororesin and / or terminal-modified perfluoropolyether by a conventional method.
[0028]
It is preferable that the surface of the object to be coated be sufficiently degreased and washed before applying the composition.
In order to improve the adhesion between the article to be coated and the composition, it is desirable to form a primer layer on the surface of the article to be coated with a silane primer, a silicone primer or the like.
[0029]
The aqueous composition for vulcanizing a fluororubber of the present invention is characterized by excellent storage stability even when a one-part aqueous dispersion is used, compared to an aqueous polyamine vulcanizing composition. Moreover, compared with the composition for solvent-based polyol vulcanization, the solid content of the fluorinated copolymer can be contained at a high concentration.
In addition, the aqueous composition for vulcanization of the present invention does not necessarily need to be a one-component type, and may be a two-component type composition in which a vulcanizing agent is mixed immediately before use.
[0030]
Article base materials to be coated with the composition of the present invention include metals such as iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum and brass; glass products such as glass plates, woven fabrics and nonwoven fabrics of glass fibers; polypropylene, polyoxymethylene, Molded and coated products of general-purpose and heat-resistant resins such as polyimide, polyamideimide, polysulfone, polyethersulfone and polyetheretherketone; Heat-resistant rubber moldings and coatings; woven and non-woven fabrics of natural and synthetic fibers can be used.
[0031]
The coating formed from the composition of the present invention can be used in fields where heat resistance, solvent resistance, lubricity, and non-adhesiveness are required. Specific applications include OA for copying machines, printers, facsimiles, and the like. Examples include rolls for equipment (for example, fixing rolls, pressure rolls) and conveyor belts; sheets and belts; O-rings, diaphragms, chemical resistant tubes, fuel hoses, valve seals, and chemical plant gaskets.

Example 11 (reference example)
Preparation of Pig paste B:
Filler (Tarox R-516L manufactured by Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. Main component: Fe2OThree) 3 parts by weight and 5 parts by weight of an acid acceptor (DHT-4A manufactured by Kyowa Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.) together with 2 parts by weight of a surfactant (Emulgen 108 manufactured by Kao Corporation; 20% aqueous solution) in 43 parts by weight of pure water A paste was prepared by dispersing. This is called “Pig paste B”.
[0052]
Preparation of the coating composition:
51 parts by weight of Pig paste B and 192 parts by weight of FEP dispersion (manufactured by Daikin Industries, Ltd., solid content concentration: 52% by weight) were added to 100 parts by weight of the solid content of the fluororubber dispersion A and dispersed sufficiently. To this aqueous dispersion, 4 parts by weight of a bisphenol AF ammonium salt, which is a basic polyol vulcanizing agent, and 0.5 parts by weight of a vulcanization accelerator (SA610-50, manufactured by San Apro Co., Ltd.) were added to prepare a coating composition.
[0053]
About the coating film created from the obtained coating material, adhesiveness, non-adhesiveness, and a tensile characteristic were measured as follows.
<Adhesion> and <Non-stickiness>
The paint is spray-coated on the substrate, sufficiently dried at 80 to 100 ° C., then baked at 300 ° C. for 15 minutes to form a coating film, and the adhesion and non-adhesiveness by the method described in Example 9 Was measured.
<Tensile properties>
The paint was spray-coated on an aluminum foil, sufficiently dried at 80 to 100 ° C., and then baked at 300 ° C. for 15 minutes. The aluminum foil was melted with hydrochloric acid, and the resulting coating film was punched into a JIS No. 4 dumbbell shape and subjected to a tensile test at a tensile speed of 500 mm / min.
[0054]
Example 12 (reference example)
A coating composition was prepared by repeating the procedure of Example 11 except that the fluororubber dispersion B was used in place of the fluororubber dispersion A, and the adhesion, non-tackiness and tensile properties of the coating film were measured.
[0055]
Comparative Example 5
Example 11 Using an FEP-added water-borne polyamine vulcanized fluororubber paint (Daikin Industries, Ltd., vinylidene fluoride / tetrafluoroethylene / hexafluoropropylene copolymer based paint, solid content ratio of fluororubber to fluororesin = 1: 1) A coating composition was prepared by repeating the above procedure, and the adhesion, non-tackiness and tensile properties of the coating film were measured.
