Description

【0001】

The packing plates 6 and 7 are intended to provide electrical insulation between the lid plate 2 and the terminals 3 and 4, and to maintain the battery sealing performance. The packing plates 6 and 7 are oblong plates made of insulating PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) or the like. Through-holes are formed at both ends, and gas holes for releasing gas from the safety valve 2a are formed at the center. The terminal connection pieces 8 and 8 are an aluminum plate and a copper plate each having a through hole formed in the center, and are arranged at positions where the through holes overlap the through holes of the lid plate 2 and the packing plates 6 and 7. The
[0005]
The positive terminal 3 is made of an aluminum material having a disk-shaped terminal base portion 3a, and the negative terminal 4 is made of a copper material having a disk-shaped terminal base portion 4a. The terminals 3 and 4 are respectively provided with bolt-type terminal bodies 3b and 4b projecting upward from the center of the flat upper surface of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a, and the bottom surfaces of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a. Cylindrical caulking portions 3c and 4c project from the center downward. And these terminals 3 and 4 let the crimping parts 3c and 4c pass through the upper packing board 6, the cover plate 2, the lower packing board 7, and the through-holes of the terminal connection pieces 8 and 8, respectively, and these crimping parts 3c from the downward | lower direction, respectively. , 4c is attached to the lid plate 2 by crimping it so as to spread. At this time, the lower portions of the terminal base portions 3 a and 4 a of the terminals 3 and 4 are fitted into terminal pedestals 6 a and 6 a made of circular recesses formed around the through holes on the upper surface of the upper packing plate 6, respectively. Moreover, since this upper packing board 6 protrudes below so that the lower end peripheral part of a through-hole may each fit in the through-hole of the cover board 2, the crimping parts 3c and 4c of these terminals 3 and 4 are The cover plate 2 is caulked through the through-hole without contacting the cover plate 2, and is insulated and sealed and fixed to the cover plate 2 made of a stainless steel plate or the like via the packing plates 6 and 7. Further, the positive terminal 3 is connected and fixed by crimping the crimping portion 3c to the terminal connection piece 8 made of one aluminum plate, and the negative terminal 4 is crimped to the terminal connection piece 8 made of the other copper plate. Connected and fixed.

When the terminals 3 and 4 are thus connected to the terminal connection pieces 8 and 8 and attached to the cover plate 2, the lower end portion drawn downward from one end of these terminal connection pieces 8 and 8 is connected to the battery element. The current collector connection bodies 5 and 5 ′ connected to the first electrodes 1a and 1b are respectively connected by caulking. Then, the battery element 1 is inserted into a battery can, and the lid plate 2 is fitted into the upper end opening and welded. Then, an electrolyte is injected into the battery case from a liquid injection port (not shown) and sealed. The assembly of the ion secondary battery is completed.
[0007]
When connecting the lithium ion secondary battery to an external device, for example, the washer portion of the crimp terminal connected to the positive and negative lead wires of the external device is connected to the bolt-type terminal bodies 3b and 4b of the terminals 3 and 4, respectively. The nut is screwed and tightened. Then, since these crimp terminals are pressed and connected to the upper surfaces of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a, wiring with external devices is performed.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional lithium ion secondary battery, if the nut screwed into the bolt-type terminal bodies 3b and 4b is tightened too much, this tightening torque is applied to the terminals 3 and 4, so that the crimped portions 3c and 4c are not crimped. There is a risk of loosening and slipping, which causes a problem that the sealing performance between the packing plates 6 and 7 is lowered.
[0009]
The present invention has been made to cope with such a situation. The terminal base portion of the terminal is formed into a polygon or the like, and the terminal base portion is fitted into the concave portion of the terminal base so that a nut, a bolt, or the like is obtained. It is an object of the present invention to provide a battery capable of preventing the terminal from slipping when tightening.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The battery of claim 1 includes a single lid , a single upper packing disposed on the upper surface of the lid, a single lower packing disposed on the lower surface, the lid and the upper and lower packings. Two through-holes penetrating through and two bolt-type or nut-type output terminals attached to the two through-holes, each of the two output terminals having a terminal main body, a terminal base portion, and a cylindrical shape. The terminal base part is formed in a non-circular shape in plan view, and the upper packing includes two terminal bases that fit into the terminal base part, wherein the terminal base part has a plan view outer shape. And a concave portion having the same shape .
[0011]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the non-circular terminal base portion is fitted into the concave portion of the terminal base, so that the terminal cannot be rotated. Therefore, even when the nut is screwed into the bolt-type terminal body and tightened, or when the bolt is screwed into the nut-type terminal body and tightened, the terminal can be prevented from idling due to the tightening torque. Also, since the terminal base part is non-circular, if a tool is engaged and pressed against the side of the terminal base part, the terminal will be prevented from rotating when tightening torque is applied to the terminal. Can do.
[0012]
In the first aspect of the invention, it is preferable that the terminal base portion has a substantially regular polygonal shape in plan view.
[0013]
In this way, since the terminal base portion is a regular polygon such as a regular triangle, square, regular pentagon, regular hexagon, or regular octagon, when this is fitted into a concave portion of substantially the same shape of the terminal base, Each corner of the regular polygon can surely stop the idling of the terminal. In addition, especially in the case of squares, regular hexagons, regular octagons, etc., planes parallel to each other are formed on the side surfaces of the terminal base, so that it is easy to prevent rotation using a general-purpose tool such as a spanner. Will be able to. In addition, the regular polygon of this terminal base | substrate part can acquire the same effect, when chamfering or a round is provided in each corner | angular part, and it is set as a substantially regular polygon in relation to installation space.
[0014]
Further, a bolt type terminal body or nut type terminal body, an output terminal and a terminal base portion formed in the terminal body base, the side surface of the terminal base portion, a tool for engaging the detent tool projections or tool hole can be Rukoto with those provided.
[0015]
In this way, if a tool or the like is engaged and pressed in the tool protrusion or tool hole on the side surface of the terminal base portion, the terminal can be prevented from rotating when tightening torque is applied to the terminal. become.
[0016]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
[0017]
1 to 5 show an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1 is an assembled perspective view of a terminal and a lid plate to which the terminal is attached. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a state in which the terminal is attached to the lid plate 2. FIG. 3, FIG. 3 is a plan view of the cover plate 2 to which the terminals are attached, FIG. 4 is a plan view of the cover plate 2 when both the terminal base portions of the positive and negative terminals are regular hexagons, and FIG. It is a top view of the cover plate 2 at the time of making a part into a regular octagon. In addition, the same number is attached | subjected to the structural member which has the same function as the prior art example shown in FIGS.
[0018]
This embodiment shows a lithium ion secondary battery having a structure similar to that of the conventional example. Accordingly, the structure of the battery element 1, the connection structure between the battery element 1 and the terminals 3 and 4 via the current collector connections 5 and 5 ′, and the mounting structure for attaching these terminals 3 and 4 to the cover plate 2. Will not be described.
[0019]
As shown in FIG. 1, the positive electrode terminal 3 of the lithium ion secondary battery according to the present embodiment is made of an aluminum material having a disk-shaped terminal base portion 3a having a substantially square shape in plan view. The terminal base 3a of the positive terminal 3 has a bolt-type terminal body 3b protruding upward from the center of the upper surface and a cylindrical crimping portion 3c protruding downward from the center of the lower surface. The terminal base 3a has a cylindrical surface at each corner on the side of a square prism having a sufficiently low height, so that the outer shape in plan view is substantially square, and the flat and wide top surface of the square is a connection surface with an external circuit. It becomes. In the case of a cylindrical battery, the end of the cover plate 2 is semicircular because the terminal base 3a is not a perfect square, so that the square terminal base 3a with corners is accommodated here. This is because the area of the connection surface of the terminal base body portion 3a is reduced. Since the side surface of the terminal base portion 3a has a substantially square side surface shape, it has two pairs of parallel planes.
[0020]
The negative electrode terminal 4 is made of a copper material having a plate-like terminal base portion 4a having a regular hexagonal shape in plan view. The terminal base 4a of the negative electrode terminal 4 has a bolt-type terminal body 4b projecting upward from the center of the upper surface, and a cylindrical caulking portion 4c projecting downward from the center of the lower surface. Since the terminal base 4a is a regular hexagonal column having a sufficiently low height, the outer shape in plan view is a regular hexagon, and the flat and wide regular hexagonal upper surface serves as a connection surface with an external circuit. Further, since the side surface of the terminal base portion 4a has a side shape of a regular hexagonal prism, it has three pairs of parallel planes. The negative electrode terminal 4 is plated with nickel in order to prevent corrosion of the copper material.
[0021]
The terminals 3 and 4 pass the caulking portions 3c and 4c through the upper packing plate 6, the cover plate 2, the lower packing plate 7 and the through holes of the terminal connection pieces 8 and 8 which are not visible in the figure, respectively. As shown in FIG. 2, the caulking portions 3 c and 4 c are attached to the lid plate 2 by caulking the caulking portions 3 c and 4 c. In the upper packing plate 6, terminal bases 6 a and 6 a each formed of a concave portion are formed around the through hole on the upper surface so that the lower portions of the terminal base portions 3 a and 4 a of these terminals 3 and 4 are fitted. The terminal pedestal 6a on the positive electrode terminal 3 side is a slightly large depression whose plan view outline is substantially square according to the shape of the terminal base part 3a, and the terminal pedestal 6a on the negative electrode terminal 4 side matches the shape of the terminal base part 4a. As a result, the outer shape in plan view is a slightly large depression with a hexagonal shape. Accordingly, the lower portions of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the terminals 3 and 4 are fitted to the terminal bases 6a and 6a of the upper packing plate 6 with almost no gap, so that the crimped portions 3c and 4c are not crimped. , You can not rotate.
[0022]
The terminals 3 and 4 thus attached to the lid plate 2 are insulated and sealed and fixed to the lid plate 2 via the packing plates 6 and 7 and are connected to the terminal connection pieces 8 and 8. This is the same as in the conventional example. And the lower end part of these terminal connection pieces 8 and 8 is crimped by the upper end part of the current collection connection bodies 5 and 5 'shown in FIG. 6, respectively, and these current collection connection bodies 5 and 5' are interposed. Are connected to the electrodes 1a and 1b of the battery element 1. Further, after inserting the battery element 1 into the battery can, fitting the lid plate 2 into the upper end opening and welding, then injecting an electrolyte into the battery can and sealing the liquid injection port, the lithium ion secondary The battery assembly is complete.
[0023]
When connecting the lithium ion secondary battery to an external device, for example, the washer portion of the crimp terminal connected to the positive and negative lead wires of the external device is connected to the bolt type terminal bodies 3b and 4b of the terminals 3 and 4, respectively. Fit and tighten the nut from above. Then, these crimp terminals are brought into pressure contact with the upper surfaces of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a, whereby wiring connection with external devices is performed. At this time, the substantially square and regular hexagonal terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the terminals 3 and 4 are fitted to the terminal bases 6a and 6a of the upper packing plate 6 having substantially the same shape. Even if the tightening torque is applied, the upper packing plate 6 fixed to the lid plate 2 of the battery case can prevent the terminals 3 and 4 from slipping. Moreover, the nuts screwed into the bolt-type terminal bodies 3b and 4b are held while engaging and holding the spanner on the side surfaces of the substantially square terminal base part 3a of the positive terminal 3 and the regular hexagonal terminal base part 4a of the negative terminal 4. If tightened, the terminals 3 and 4 can be prevented from rotating.
[0024]
As described above, in the lithium ion secondary battery of the present embodiment, the terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the terminals 3 and 4 are fitted to the terminal bases 6a and 6a of the upper packing plate 6 so that they cannot idle. Further, if a spanner is engaged with the side surfaces of these terminal base parts 3a and 4a, the rotation can be surely prevented, so that the caulking of the caulking parts 3c and 4c is loosened and the sealing performance is lowered. The contact with the connection pieces 8, 8 is not deteriorated.
[0025]
In the above embodiment, the terminal base portions 3a and 4a have different shapes by making the terminal base portion 3a of the positive electrode terminal 3 substantially square and the terminal base portion 4a of the negative electrode terminal 4 regular hexagonal. In order to prevent the terminals 3 and 4 from slipping, they may have the same shape. However, in the present embodiment, by changing the shape of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the positive electrode terminal 3 and the negative electrode terminal 4, as shown in FIG. The difference between the negative electrode and the negative electrode is clarified so that it is difficult to make an operation mistake due to a wiring mistake. That is, when the terminals 3 and 4 of the lithium ion secondary battery are viewed from above, since the positive electrode terminal 3 is substantially square and the negative electrode terminal 4 is a regular hexagon, these differences are apparent at a glance. It becomes possible to prevent work mistakes due to misunderstanding of the positive and negative electrodes.
[0026]
However, in order to distinguish the positive electrode terminal 3 and the negative electrode terminal 4 in appearance, as shown in FIG. 4, the terminal base portion 3a of the positive electrode terminal 3 is also formed in the same regular hexagon as that of the negative electrode terminal 4, and the mounting angle is 30 °. It may be displaced only. In this case, the positive electrode terminal 3 and the negative electrode terminal 4 have exactly the same part shape, and the angles for forming the regular hexagonal depressions of the terminal bases 6a and 6a of the upper packing plate 6 are different between the positive electrode terminal 3 side and the negative electrode terminal 4 side. What is necessary is just to displace.
[0027]
In the above-described embodiment, the case where the terminal base 3a of the positive electrode terminal 3 is substantially square has been described. However, in addition to the regular hexagon as the negative electrode terminal 4 as described above, for example, as shown in FIG. It can also be square. That is, the plan view outlines of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the terminals 3 and 4 may be the same or different for both positive and negative electrodes. In addition, this shape is not limited to the regular polygon as described above, and in any case, as long as it is a non-circular shape such as another polygon or an oval, the same shape of the upper packing plate 6 is used. It is possible to prevent idling by fitting to the terminal base 6a. However, in the case of a regular polygon having an even number of angles such as a square, a regular hexagon, and a regular octagon, the opposing side surfaces are parallel to each other, and therefore, engagement with a general-purpose tool such as a spanner is facilitated. Further, even in the case of an odd-numbered regular polygon such as a regular triangle or a regular pentagon or other non-circular shapes, it is possible to prevent rotation by using an appropriate tool.
[0028]
Further, in the above embodiment, the case where a tool such as a spanner that engages the side surfaces of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a is used to prevent the terminals 3 and 4 from rotating is described. If a tool protrusion or a tool hole is provided on the side surfaces of 3a and 4a, it is possible to prevent rotation by engaging a dedicated product or an existing tool. In this case, since the tool engages with the tool protrusions and tool holes on the side surfaces of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a, the outer shape in plan view of the terminal base portions 3a and 4a itself may be the same as the conventional circle.
[0029]
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the bolt-type terminal bodies 3b and 4b protrude from the terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the terminals 3 and 4 has been described. However, nuts opened on the upper surfaces of these terminal base portions 3a and 4a It is also possible to make a connection with an external device by drilling a type terminal body and screwing a bolt here.
[0030]
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the terminal base portions 3a and 4a of the terminals 3 and 4 are fitted to the terminal bases 6a and 6a of the upper packing plate 6 has been described. However, other components or resins fixed to the battery case You may provide the terminal base which has a recessed part in battery-making case itself.
[0031]
Furthermore, although the said embodiment demonstrated the case where the terminals 3 and 4 were attached to the cover plate 2, either or both the terminals 3 and 4 can also be attached to the battery can side. Moreover, even if either one of the positive electrode terminal 3 and the negative electrode terminal 4 is not provided, for example, when the battery can itself becomes a terminal of one pole, the present invention is applied to the terminal of the other pole. Can do. Further, the battery case is not limited to a combination of the cover plate 2 and the battery can. Furthermore, although the said embodiment demonstrated the terminals 3 and 4 of the lithium ion secondary battery, the kind of battery is not specifically limited.
[0032]
【The invention's effect】
As apparent from the above description, according to the battery of the present invention, the terminal base portion of the terminal is fitted into the concave portion of the terminal pedestal so that the terminal can be prevented from slipping and the sealing performance from being lowered. Become. Further, the terminal can be prevented from rotating by engaging a tool such as a spanner with the terminal base portion of the terminal.
