Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a decorative object using glass capable of adding a strong impression to a window, an outer wall, etc. of a building, and a composite glass block body as a constituent element thereof.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In architecture, glass has been used exclusively for windows in the form of flat glass, but in recent years, a square glass block with a hollow interior called a glass block has appeared, and it has been adopted for building exterior walls and sidewalks. It has been well received for its transparency and cool texture.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The construction method of the glass block on the outer wall or the like adopts a form in which the glass blocks are stacked and fixed while applying cement or mortar to the gap between the wall surface and the glass block in the same manner as bricks and tiles. For this reason, whether or not the finish is beautiful depends largely on the skill of the construction worker. Moreover, since it is such a construction method, it was difficult to construct a glass block without a base surface, and it was not possible to construct the glass block in a state where light was transmitted through the opening of the wall.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and does not require an operator's advanced skill in construction, and is a composite glass block body that can be constructed in a state where light is transmitted through the opening, and an assembly thereof. The purpose is to provide some decorations.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the composite glass block body of the present invention is provided with a retaining means on the inner peripheral wall, melted and poured into a metal frame integrally formed , and gradually cooled and solidified to form a metal frame. It is characterized by integrating glass.
[0006]
Type of metal of the metal frame is not particularly limited, but Rukoto to integrally molded lightly rusted difficulty casting is preferred, therefore casting aluminum alloy or copper alloy is suitable. The shape of the outer shape may be any shape such as a triangle, a quadrangle, or a round shape, but a square is most preferable in consideration of combining block bodies later. Since it is difficult for the solidified glass to fall out of the metal frame, it is necessary to take some means of retaining the inner peripheral wall of the metal frame in contact with the glass. Specifically, the inner peripheral wall may be shaped so that the central portion in the thickness direction is raised, or the inner peripheral wall may be provided with a locking groove or a protruding locking piece so that the hardened glass is caught. . As for the form of the glass poured into the metal frame, the glass that has been tightly settled and solidified within the metal frame, of course, includes those that overflowed from the surface of the metal frame and solidified.
[0007]
Since the glass condenses slightly when it cools and hardens, a slight gap is formed at the boundary with the metal frame. If this gap is filled with a caulking material such as silicon resin as in the invention of claim 2, it is waterproof. As well as a function of absorbing thermal expansion and vibration.
[0008]
The composite glass block constructed in this way can of course be constructed even if cement or mortar is used like the conventional glass block, but since the metal frame is integrated with the glass, mechanical components such as bolts are used. It is suitable for construction using fixing means, so that it can be constructed easily and neatly without special skills.
[0009]
Moreover, since various colors can be given to the glass, the composite glass block body according to claim 1 or 2 in which various colors of glass are embedded in an outer frame as a base as described in claim 3. You can make a decorative object with a combination pattern by arranging a large number of flats on the outer frame, and if this is fitted into the opening of the wall, the sunbeams penetrate the glass and become stained glass. A fantastic effect like this is born.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of a composite glass block body of the present invention and a decoration using the same will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a basic embodiment of the composite glass block body 1 of the present invention, in which a molten glass 3 is poured into a square metal frame 2, and the glass 3 is gradually cooled and solidified to form a metal frame 2. It is an integrated one.
[0011]
The metal frame 2 is formed by casting an aluminum alloy, and the inner peripheral wall 4 of the frame has a shape in which the central portion in the thickness direction rises as shown in FIG. This is to prevent the solidified glass 3 from falling out of the metal frame 2, and as another form, a locking piece 7 protruding from the inner peripheral wall 4 can be provided as shown in FIG. If the glass 3 overflows from the surface of the metal frame 2, it is possible to prevent the glass 3 from falling off even if the inner peripheral wall 4 is formed in a tapered shape as shown in FIG. it can. Of course, the outer shape of the metal frame 2 is not limited to a square.
[0012]
The manufacturing procedure of the composite glass block 1 is to form the metal frame 2 by casting, and pour the glass 3 melted in a furnace into the finished metal frame 2. The glass 3 may be either in a state of overflowing the surface of the metal frame 2 or in a state of being completely contained in the frame. The glass 3 is mixed with minerals for developing a predetermined color. After pouring, the composite glass block body 1 is put into a slow cooling kettle, and slowly cooled for a long time so that the glass 3 does not crack, thereby solidifying the glass 3. A slight gap between the glass 3 and the metal frame 2 generated by the condensation of the glass 3 is filled with a commercially available caulking material 5 having adhesiveness / tackiness, such as silicon resin, to fill the gap.
[0013]
The composite glass block body 1 becomes a finished product through the above steps, and an embodiment of a decorative object constructed based on this will be described below. The composite glass block of the present invention can also be affixed to the outer wall of a building using cement or mortar like conventional tiles and glass blocks, but rather, bolts etc. on the outer frame as the foundation as described below Suitable for fixing using.
[0014]
FIG. 3 to FIG. 5 show an example used for a window for light removal. In this case, a metallic outer frame 6 is fitted into the opening of the wall, and a large number of composite glass block bodies 1 are fitted inside the outer frame 6. Inside the outer frame 6, a large number of ridges 10 for holding the composite glass block body 1 are arranged in length and breadth, and a mesh 11 corresponding to the size of the composite glass block body 1 is formed. Has a female screw hole 12.
[0015]
On the back side of the metal frame 2 of the composite glass block body 1 used here, a step portion 13 is provided so as to be fitted to the mesh 11 formed by the collar 10 of the outer frame 6, and four corners are provided at the corner. A notch 15 is provided so that a through hole and a seating surface of the bolt 14 are formed when the composite glass block body 1 is gathered together. Accordingly, the composite glass block body 1 can be easily arranged by placing the composite glass block bodies 1 on the outer frame 6 one by one so that the stepped portions 13 are fitted into the meshes 11 and sequentially pressing the corners with the washers 16 and the bolts 14. 1 can be attached to the outer frame 6. Thus, no special technique is required for assembly.
[0016]
The use of the decorative object of the present invention is not limited to the window of a general house, but it can be effectively used as a display for attracting customers in a store, and it can be effectively used as a railing for a bridge, a fence, a door or a gate. A wide range of applications such as embedding in openings such as partitions can be considered.
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
The composite glass block according to claim 1 of the present invention is an integrated metal frame and glass, and can be constructed by mechanical fixing means such as bolts without using cement or mortar. Regardless of the skill level of the worker, anyone can easily and cleanly work. Further, the composite glass block body does not drop out of the metal frame by the retaining means, and since the periphery of the glass is surrounded by the metal frame, there is almost no risk that the glass will break due to a robust structure.
[0018]
Furthermore, according to the invention described in claim 2, the composite glass block body can be secured with waterproofness and added with thermal expansion and vibration / shock absorbing performance, thereby further improving the product.
[0019]
The decorative object according to the invention of claim 3 is composed of composite glass block bodies to form a pattern. By fitting this into a wall opening or the like and allowing light to pass therethrough, it is an illusion similar to stained glass. Can create a realistic space.
