この発明は、帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写方法及びその装置に係わり、更に詳しくは押出し工程または圧延工程から連続的に搬出される帯状部材を、帯状部材の成形作業を停止させることなく成形ドラム側に連続して供給することが出来る帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写方法及びその装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来のタイヤ成形工程等では、製造された帯状ゴム部材を成形ドラムへ供給する方法として、成形された帯状ゴム部材を巻取りドラムに一旦巻取った巻物形態にして供給している。

そして、帯状ゴム部材の製造から製品成形までの工程としては、押出し工程または圧延工程で押出しまたは圧延されて製造された帯状ゴム部材を、一旦冷却させて巻取りドラムに巻取り、この巻物を運搬して所定場所にストックさせる。そして、帯状ゴム部材の巻物を成形工程での必要に応じて成形ドラム側に搬送し、帯状ゴム部材を巻出し、成形ドラムの周長に対応した長さに定尺切断させて成形ドラムに供給するようにしている。また、タイヤのサイズ,量,コストに対しては、現状では大型設備によるロット生産で対応している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
然しながら、上述した巻物形態での供給では、巻物の左右の差、巻取り,巻出しの速度差による帯状ゴム部材の伸縮や、荷姿、更には巻芯・巻出し外部での変形等に問題が生じていた。

また一方、更生用タイヤの生産設備において、例えば、図3に示すように、帯状ゴム部材の巻物形態の供給ではなく、押出機1から押出しされた帯状ゴム部材Wを基になる台タイヤや成形ドラム2に直接巻付ける方式を採用しており、押出しからホットの状態(温かい未加硫状態)で成形される。しかし、押出し工程と成形工程と直結させる工程の場合、連続して供給される帯状ゴム部材Wを1タイヤ分(成形ドラムの周長)に切り出す必要があり、このために切断,供給のバランスをフェスツーナー(festooner)等の自動調整装置3で供給量(ダンサー量)を補うしくみになっている。

然しながら、この方法では、自動調整装置3の調整部3aでホットな状態の帯状ゴム部材Wが引っ張り,圧縮等を受けて変形し、成形ドラム2の周上での均一性を維持できず、製品タイヤのアンバランスの要因となっていた。

この発明の目的は、帯状部材の成形作業を停止させることなく成形ドラム側に連続して供給することが出来る帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写方法及びその装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、この発明の帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写方法は、押出し工程または圧延工程から連続的に搬出されるプロフアイルを備えた帯状部材を、その搬出工程中に前記プロフアイルに対応する環状溝を備えた転写ドラムに巻付けると共に、転写ドラムに設けた切断手段により成形ドラムの周長に対応する長さに定尺切断し、該転写ドラムを成形ドラム側に移動して、転写ドラムに巻付けられている帯状部材を成形ドラムに転写することを要旨とするものである。

このように、切断手段を備えた転写ドラムで押出し工程または圧延工程から連続的に搬出される帯状部材を巻付けると共に、定尺切断して成形ドラム側に供給するので、帯状部材の供給を停止させることなく、しかも従来のような帯状部材の供給量を調整するための自動調整装置を設置することなく帯状部材を成形ドラム側に効率良く供給して成形作業を行うことが出来るものである。

また、上記目的を達成するため、この発明の帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写装置は、押出し装置または圧延装置と成形ドラムとの間に配設した搬送コンベヤ上にプロフアイルを備えた帯状部材を巻付ける転写ドラムを設置し、この転写ドラムは、成形ドラムへの転写位置と搬送コンベヤ上の巻付け位置との間を往復移動可能で、かつ帯状部材を成形ドラムの周長に対応する長さに定尺切断する切断手段を備えると共に、前記帯状部材のプロフアイルに対応した環状溝を備えることを要旨とするものである。

このように、押出し装置または圧延装置と成形ドラムとの間に配設した搬送コンベヤ上に帯状部材を巻付ける切断手段を備えた転写ドラムを設置したので、帯状部材の供給量を調整するための自動調整装置は必要とせず、帯状部材の供給を停止させることなく連続した成形作業が可能となり、また成形サイクルの変動に対して転写ドラムの巻付け速度で対応でき、更に帯状部材の製造工程からタイヤ成形工程までの工程を小型化できる上に、省人化を図ることが出来、組立精度の向上及び製品精度を高める事が出来るものである。

以下、添付図面に基づき、この発明の実施形態を説明する。

図1は、この発明にかかる帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写方法を実施するための搬送,転写装置の概略構成図を示し、図2(a)〜(d)は搬送,転写方法の工程説明図である。

前記搬送,転写装置は、押出し装置1a(この実施形態では押出し装置を使用しているが、圧延装置でも良い)と成形ドラム2との間に配設した搬送コンベヤ4上に、押出し装置1aから押出された帯状部材W(この実施形態では所定幅の帯状ゴム部材を使用している)を巻付ける転写ドラム5が設置してある。

前記転写ドラム5は、成形ドラム2への転写位置Pと前記搬送コンベヤ4上の巻付け位置Qとの間を図示しない昇降装置及び水平移動装置を介して往復移動可能に配設され、また転写ドラム5の周面の一部には、帯状部材Wを成形ドラム2の周長Lに対応する長さに定尺切断する切断手段6が設けてある。

前記切断手段6としては、この実施形態ではワイヤー7を使用しているが、カッター刃を使用することも可能であり、この切断手段6のワイヤー7またはカッターには、帯状部材Wを効率良く、かつ精度良く切断するために図示しないヒーター等の加熱装置が設けてある。

また転写ドラム5の回転周面には、帯状部材Wのプロフアイル、例えば、断面台形状に対応した環状溝8が形成してあり、また環状溝8の部材巻取り面8aには、バキュームパットや磁石等の部材吸着保持手段9が設けてある。

なお、転写ドラム5は、上記の実施形態のように一枚の円板状の部材で構成する他、二枚の円板を所定の間隔を隔てて接続して構成することも可能である。

次に、帯状ゴム部材の搬送,転写方法を図2(a)〜(d)を参照しながら説明する。

先ず、図2(a)に示すように、押出し工程の押出し装置1a(または圧延工程の圧延装置)から連続的に搬出される帯状部材Wを、その搬出工程中の搬送コンベヤ4上における巻付け位置Qにて転写ドラム5を下降させて圧着し、図2(b)に示すように、帯状部材Wの搬送と共に、転写ドラム5を一定の速度で回転させながら環状溝8の部材巻取り面8aに帯状部材Wを順次巻付けて行く。

【発明の効果】
この発明は、上記のように押出し装置または圧延装置と成形ドラムとの間に配設した搬送コンベヤ上に帯状部材を巻付ける転写ドラムを設置し、この転写ドラムは、成形ドラムへの転写位置と搬送コンベヤ上の巻付け位置との間を往復移動可能で、かつ帯状部材を成形ドラムの周長に対応する長さに定尺切断する切断手段を設け、そして押出し工程または圧延工程から連続的に搬出される帯状部材を、その搬出工程中に転写ドラムに巻付けると共に、転写ドラムに設けた切断手段により成形ドラムの周長に対応する長さに定尺切断し、該転写ドラムを成形ドラム側に移動して、転写ドラムに巻付けられている帯状部材を成形ドラムに転写するようにしたので、以下のような優れた効果を奏するものである。
(a).帯状部材を定尺切断する切断手段を備えた転写ドラムにより、押出し工程または圧延工程から連続的に搬出される帯状部材の搬出作業を停止させることなく成形ドラム側に供給でき、生産性及び作業性の向上を図ることが出来る。
(b).転写ドラムが回転しながら搬送コンベヤ上の帯状部材を定尺切断するので、従来のようなフェスツーナー(festooner)等の自動調整装置は必要としない。
(c).成形サイクルの変動に対して転写ドラムの巻付け速度で対応することが出来る。
(d).転写ドラムを用いた押出し物工程から成形工程の準直結により、押出しトレーンを小型化することが出来、小スペース,コスト低減に対応できる。
(e).帯状部材を成形ドラムへ供給する際、センターリング機構を必要とせず組立精度の向上を図ることが出来る。
(f).半製品に直接人が介入しないため、精度を維持して同一条件で成形することが出来る。
(g).フェスツーナー(festooner)等の自動調整装置を必要としないので、工程が簡略化され、生産設備費用も低減することが出来る。
