【0034】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a novel amine compound and a method for producing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a novel amine compound useful as a raw material for an optical material having excellent optical characteristics and an efficient production method thereof.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a material for eyeglass lenses, plastic lenses are widely used because they are lighter and easier to dye than glass. Properties required for plastic lenses include high refractive index, low light dispersibility, and high impact resistance. A lens made of a material having a high refractive index can reduce the thickness of the lens, thereby reducing the weight of the lens and improving the appearance. Further, a lens made of a material having a low light dispersibility, that is, a material having a large Abbe number gives a lens having a small chromatic aberration.
[0003]
A diethylene glycol diallyl carbonate resin called CR-39, which has been widely used as an eyeglass lens material, has a high Abbe number of 58 but a low refractive index of 1.50. For this reason, when used as a lens, a particularly strong lens has a problem that the outer thickness and the center thickness are increased, resulting in a poor appearance and a heavy weight. Furthermore, there is a drawback that the falling ball impact strength is 100 g or less and is very fragile.
[0004]
For the purpose of improving the refractive index, synthetic resin optical materials containing sulfur atoms having a high atomic refractive index have been developed. That is, a thermosetting optical material having a thiourethane structure obtained by a reaction between a polythiol compound and a polyisocyanate compound has been proposed (see Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2). Various novel polythiol compounds that serve as raw materials for these thiourethanes have also been proposed. A branched polythiol compound having 4 sulfur atoms in one molecule (see Patent Document 3), and 5 sulfur atoms in one molecule. A branched polythiol compound having one (see Patent Document 4) and a polythiol compound having a dithian ring structure in the molecule have been proposed (see Patent Document 5). In these materials, the composition of the raw material sulfur compound is increased because of the high refractive index. Therefore, the crosslinking density is inevitably lowered. Also, the alkyl group content is increasing due to the high Abbe number. Therefore, the rigidity of the molecules constituting the raw material compound is lowered. As a result, the heat resistance is hindered.
[0005]
An episulfide resin has been proposed in order to further increase the refractive index (see Patent Document 6, Patent Document 7, and Patent Document 8).
[0006]
Polycarbonate lenses are increasingly used in the United States as impact-resistant thermoplastic lenses. The PC lens has a refractive index of 1.59 and excellent impact resistance, but has a drawback that its Abbe number is as low as 30.
[0007]
A polyurethane material containing a polyester oligomer has been proposed as a material having high impact resistance (see Patent Document 9 and Patent Document 10). The Abbe number is as high as 46 and has a very high impact resistance, but has a disadvantage that the refractive index is as low as about 1.53.

[0014]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The compound represented by the general formula (1) in the present invention is characterized by having both a mercapto group and an amino group, and is obtained by a reaction between an episulfide compound and an aromatic thiol compound having an amino group.
[0015]
The characteristics of this production method are as follows. In general, episulfide compounds are very reactive, and in the reaction of nucleophilic reagents such as thiol compounds, the mercapto group generated by the ring opening of the episulfide ring reacts further, making it difficult to control the polymerization reaction cross-linking reaction. Such a composition is difficult to obtain. We have found that addition of an aromatic thiol compound produces a compound having an amino group and a mercapto group in high yield.
[0016]
Furthermore, this reaction can be controlled by the reaction temperature and the like, and not only a 2-adduct can be obtained in high yield, but also a compound represented by the general formula (1) (hereinafter referred to as a 1-adduct only by selecting reaction conditions) Also referred to as compound (1)) is obtained in high yield.
[0017]
Compound (1) can produce polyurea by reacting with poly (thio) isocyanate as it is, as well as diadduct, and also can use a mercapto group in the reaction simultaneously or separately. Also. Mercapto groups can be left unreacted. It is known that the sulfur-containing optical material has a problem of coloring, and can be suppressed by adding a mercapto compound. Therefore, the presence of mercapto groups that are not used in the reaction is advantageous as a polymerization composition. Furthermore, since the content ratio of sulfur is higher than that of the 2-adduct, a polymer having a higher refractive index is obtained. In addition, there is an advantage that the viscosity is low and the handling during cast polymerization is easy.
[0018]
Compound (1) can obtain a diamine by reacting the remaining episulfide with an active hydrogen compound such as dithiol. Therefore, the diamine which introduce | transduced the flexible chain | strand and thioether by reaction of a compound (1) is obtained. In this reaction, the secondary mercapto group generated by the reaction with the aromatic thiol has a low reactivity due to steric hindrance, and it is difficult to cause an undesirable cross-linking reaction, so that the reaction is easy to control.
[0019]
Thus, the diamine derived from the compound (1) can produce polyurea by reacting with poly (thio) isocyanate, and at the same time or another time, a mercapto group can be used in the reaction. Also. Mercapto groups can be left unreacted. It is known that the sulfur-containing optical material has a problem of coloring, and can be suppressed by adding a mercapto compound. Therefore, the presence of mercapto groups that are not used in the reaction is advantageous as a polymerization composition. By using such a diamine, the polymerized cured product can be made highly refracted, made flexible and impact resistance can be improved.
