前記分岐口部に臨むガス管周壁に貫通孔を穿孔可能なホールソーを、前記筒状本体の内側に保持可能に設けてあるバイパス管接続用アダプタであって、
前記ホールソーを筒状本体外側から回転操作可能、かつ、筒軸方向に移動操作可能な操作軸部材を、前記筒状本体の筒軸方向他端側に気密に挿通し、
前記接続口部を前記筒状本体の筒軸方向中間位置にその径方向から連通接続し、
前記サドル継手の分岐口部の内周側にホールソー取り付け用雌ネジ部を形成するとともに、該ホールソー取り付け用雌ネジ部に螺合する雄ネジ部を前記ホールソーの外周部に形成し、かつ、そのホールソーの内側にねじ溝状の螺旋溝を形成し、
前記ホールソーの外周部に形成してある前記雄ネジ部を前記分岐口部の前記ホールソー取り付け用雌ネジ部に螺合し、前記ガス管周壁の切片を前記螺旋溝で内嵌保持した状態で前記ホールソーを前記分岐口部に入り込ませてその分岐口部を閉塞可能に設け、
