Abstract
【解決手段】ヒ素を含有した原水を処理槽に供給し、原水中のヒ素を曝気による空気酸化のみで酸化させるとともに、前記原水中に鉄塩を添加してヒ素と鉄とを共沈させて前記原水中からヒ素を除去し、しかも、発生した汚泥を前記処理槽から引き抜くことなく繰り返し利用することにより、ヒ酸鉄を生成しつつ汚泥の高密度化を生じさせて、ヒ素の再溶出を防止可能とした。

Description
共沈処理工程で生じた汚泥は逐一引き抜かれ、特別管理産業廃棄物として処理されるために、処理コストが高くなる問題点があった。さらに、消石灰によるヒ素の凝集処理では生成したヒ酸カルシウムからヒ素が溶出するなどするために、発生汚泥中からのヒ素の再溶出を防止する処理コストが高く、結果的にはこれら汚泥を最終処理するための場所の確保などを困難にしていた。
濾過装置5は、集水パイプに筒状に加工したろ布を装着したろ布エレメントと複数のエレメントを収納する収納筒からなり、収納筒では、下部の原水供給パイプ24から上澄み水を供給し、収納筒内のろ布エレメントの下方から上方へ向って上澄み水を通水して収納筒の上部から濾過された処理水が排出される。例えば、収納筒は、配管口径300Aの長さ3.5mの塩ビ管とし、その収納筒の内部には、7本のろ布エレメントを設けるようにしている。ろ布エレメントの濾過面積は、約0.6m2であり、ろ布エレメントの下方から上方へ向う上向流によって濾過が進行する。
図2〜図5は、廃鉱山周辺の原水に含有するヒ素の除去を行った実験結果をまとめたものである。以下、図2〜図5に基づいて説明する。
処理槽内の原水に注入する塩化第二鉄の注入量などから処理槽内に発生する発生汚泥量の推定値D1を算出したところ、27L/1日の汚泥が発生する。そして、約2ヶ月後の推定値D1の積算汚泥発生量が1620Lになると推定された。
発生初期(生成後4日目)の汚泥からのヒ素の溶出量は、2.2mg/Lであるが、10日目のヒ素の溶出量は、0.1mg/Lとなり、35日目のヒ素の溶出量は、0.01mg/Lとなり、発生汚泥からのヒ素の溶出量が抑えられている。結果的には、時間の経過に伴って汚泥からのヒ素溶出量が減少していくことが確かめられた。

この式から汚泥からのヒ素溶出量を算出すると、22日目で土壌からのヒ素溶出基準値(0.03mg/L以下)を下回ることとなる。

Claims (4)
- ヒ素を含有した原水を処理槽内に導入する原水導入工程と、前記原水中のヒ素を曝気による空気酸化のみで酸化させる曝気工程と、前記原水中に鉄塩を添加して攪拌し、前記原水のpHを酸性雰囲気下に維持しつつヒ素と鉄とを共沈させる共沈工程とを有し、前記共沈工程で発生した汚泥を、前記処理槽から引き抜くことなく保持したまま、前記各工程を繰り返して前記処理槽内に鉄バクテリアを生成保持させ、前記原水中に含まれる2価の鉄を3価の鉄に酸化させるとともに、3価のヒ素を5価のヒ素に酸化させてヒ素と鉄の共沈を促進しつつヒ素の再溶出を防止可能としたことを特徴とするヒ素を含有する水の処理方法。
- 前記共沈工程における前記原水のpHの値を酸性雰囲気に維持することを特徴とする請求項1記載のヒ素を含有する水の処理方法。
- ヒ素と鉄とを共沈させた後、前記処理槽内の上澄み水をフィルタで濾過する濾過工程を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜2のいずれか1項に記載のヒ素を含有する水の処理方法。
- 前記濾過工程後の処理水の濁度を検出し、検出した濁度に応じて前記フィルタの洗浄を行うことを特徴とする請求項3記載のヒ素を含有する水の処理方法。
