Claims (13)
- 水平同期信号に基づいて映像データを表示する表示装置用光源の駆動装置であって、所定周波数の基準信号を生成する発振器と、前記基準信号と同期する駆動信号を生成し出力する制御部と、前記駆動信号と同期する交流電圧を光源に印加し前記光源を点灯させる電圧供給部、そして前記駆動信号または前記駆動信号から分周された分周信号と前記水平同期信号との位相差を検出して該当する検出信号を生成する位相差検出部とを含み、前記発振器は前記検出信号に基づいて前記基準信号の周波数を変更する表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記位相差検出部は前記駆動信号または前記分周信号と前記水平同期信号の位相を比較する位相比較器、そして前記位相比較器の出力を比例積分して前記発振器に提供する比例積分器を含む請求項1に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記位相差検出部は前記位相比較器出力の高周波成分を除去するローパスフィルターをさらに含む請求項2に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記位相差検出部は電源印加の時に前記比例積分器を初期化するリセット部をさらに含む請求項3に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記リセット部は前記比例積分器の両端に連結されているスイッチング素子を含み、前記スイッチング素子はターンオンの時に前記比例積分器の積分蓄電器に充電された電圧の放電経路を提供する請求項4に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記リセット部は前記スイッチング素子の制御段に連結されている微分器をさらに含み、前記電源印加直後にのみ前記スイッチング素子がターンオンされるようにする請求項5に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記位相比較器はXORゲートまたはXNORゲートを含む請求項2に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記位相差検出部は前記駆動信号を分周して前記分周信号を生成する分周器をさらに含む請求項2に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記基準信号はパルス幅変調基準信号を含み、前記駆動信号は前記基準信号のパルス幅変調信号である請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 前記基準信号は三角波形または鋸波形である請求項9に記載の表示装置用光源駆動装置。
- 水平同期信号に基づいて映像データを表示する表示装置用光源の駆動方法であって、所定周波数のパルス幅変調基準信号を生成する段階と、前記基準信号をパルス幅変調した駆動信号を生成する段階と、前記駆動信号と同期する交流電圧を生成する段階と、前記交流電圧を光源に印加し点灯させる段階、そして前記駆動信号または前記駆動信号から分周された分周信号と前記水平同期信号との位相差を検出して該当する検出信号を生成する段階、そして前記検出信号に基づいて前記基準信号の周波数を変更する段階とを含む駆動方法。
- 前記検出信号生成段階は前記駆動信号または前記分周信号と前記水平同期信号との位相を比較して比較信号を生成する段階、そして前記比較信号を比例積分して前記検出信号を生成する段階を含む請求項11に記載の表示装置用光源駆動方法。
- 前記検出信号生成段階は前記比較信号の高周波成分を除去する段階をさらに含む請求項12に記載の表示装置用光源駆動方法。
