Description
1.水蒸気とアルカリ水溶液が存在する圧力容器内において、水蒸気と含塩素ポリマーとを接触させることにより、該ポリマーの脱塩素化処理を行うとともに、脱離塩素成分をアルカリ水溶液に吸収させることを特徴とする含塩素ポリマーの処理方法。
2.反応容器下部に収容したアルカリ水溶液から水蒸気を発生させて、反応容器上部において水蒸気と含塩素ポリマーとを接触させる上記項1に記載の処理方法。
3.含塩素ポリマーの脱塩素化処理を150〜300℃で行う上記項1に記載の処理方法。
4.含塩素ポリマーの脱塩素化処理を200〜250℃で行う上記項2に記載の処理方法。
5.アルカリ水溶液が、水酸化ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸水素カリウム、水酸化カルシウム、水酸化リチウム、水酸化マグネシウムおよび天然ソーダから選ばれた少なくとも1種を含む水溶液である上記項1に記載の処理方法。
6.アルカリ水溶液が、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液である上記項5に記載の処理方法。
7.上記項1〜6のいずれかに記載の処理方法により得られたポリオレフィン系材料。
反応装置
図1に示す様に、高強度鋼などの耐圧性材料からなる反応装置(オートクレーブ)には、ステンレス鋼などの耐食性材料からなる支持体が設置されており、支持体上部には、ステンレス鋼などからなるメッシュが設置されている。さらに、メッシュ上には、粒状の或いは破砕したPVC試料を収容する耐熱ガラス製の開放容器が配置されている。PVC試料の大きさは、特に制限されるものではないが、反応性を高めるためには、通常50μm〜10mm程度、より好ましくは100μm〜1mm程度とする。
PVC処理反応
PVC処理反応は、オーブンヒーター、コイルヒーター、インダクションヒーターなどの加熱機構(図示せず)で反応装置を加熱することにより、開始される。
図1に概要を示す内容積48mlの反応容器(ハステロイCで内張してある)内に、図示の様に、濃度1mol/lのNaOH水溶液10mlとPVC試料(重合度約1100、平均粒径約150μm)50mgとを非接触状態で配置した後、インダクションヒーターにより、容器内を昇温速度約40℃/分で所定の温度まで加熱し、同温度で60分保持した。この操作により、発生した水蒸気とPVC試料とが接触した状態で、加熱反応が行われた。
(1)液体生成物中の塩化物イオン分析:モール法による。
(2)脱塩化水素率:モール法による分析値を用いて、以下の式から求めた。
(3)元素分析:CHN分析計(ヤナコ分析工業(株)製、CHNコーダー、“MT-6”)を用いて、H/Cを測定した。
[比較例1]
実施例1で使用したと同様の反応容器内に濃度1mol/lのNaOH水溶液10mlを入れ、この水溶液中にPVC試料(実施例1と同じ材料)50mgを浸漬した状態で、インダクションヒーターにより、容器内を昇温速度約40℃/分で所定の温度まで加熱し、同温度で60分保持した。この反応においては、NaOH水溶液とPVC試料とが常に接触した状態で、加熱反応が行われた。
[比較例2]
実施例1で使用したと同様の反応容器内にPVC試料(実施例1と同じ材料)50mgのみを収容した状態で、インダクションヒーターにより、容器内を昇温速度約40℃/分で所定の温度まで加熱し、同温度で60分保持した。
[実施例1、比較例1および2の結果とその考察]
図2は、実施例1(○)と比較例1(△)におけるPVC試料の経時的な重量減少率を示すグラフである。いずれの場合にも、脱塩素化によりPVC試料の重量が減少していることが明らかである。
Claims (7)
- 水蒸気とアルカリ水溶液が存在する反応容器内において、アルカリ水溶液と含塩素ポリマーを非接触状態で配置して、水蒸気と含塩素ポリマーとを接触させることにより、
該ポリマーの脱塩素化処理を行うとともに、脱離塩素成分をアルカリ水溶液に吸収させることを特徴とする含塩素ポリマーの処理方法。 - 反応容器下部に収容したアルカリ水溶液から水蒸気を発生させて、反応容器上部において水蒸気と含塩素ポリマーとを接触させる請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 含塩素ポリマーの脱塩素化処理を150〜300℃で行う請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- 含塩素ポリマーの脱塩素化処理を200〜250℃で行う請求項2に記載の処理方法。
- アルカリ水溶液が、水酸化ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、炭酸カリウム、炭酸水素カリウム、水酸化カルシウム、水酸化リチウム、水酸化マグネシウムおよび天然ソーダから選ばれた少なくとも1種を含む水溶液である請求項1に記載の処理方法。
- アルカリ水溶液が、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液である請求項5に記載の処理方法。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の処理方法により得られたポリオレフィン系材料。
