本発明は、利用者が要求する情報を計算機ネットワークによる通信メディアを介してリアルタイムに提供する情報提供システムに関し、特に、テレビ番組やラジオ番組その他ビデオやＤＶＤ等に記録されたコンテンツの内容に関連する情報を、その放送中又は再生中の個所に対応して自動的に判断し、適切に情報を提供する情報提供システムとその情報提供方法、及び情報提供プログラムを記録した記録媒体に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の、テレビやラジオ等の放送メディアで配信される番組に対して、より詳細な情報や関連する情報等を付加して視聴者に提供するシステムには、データ放送のシステムがある。

データ放送は、無線地上波、放送衛星又は通信衛星、ＣＡＴＶ網等を利用した放送システムを用いて、番組の放送電波に多重させて上述のような各種データを付加して提供したり、番組の映像データや音声データとは独立の情報データを圧縮したビットストリーム（bit stream）として多重して放送するシステムである。

しかし、データ放送では、不特定多数の利用者を対象として共通の情報を配信するシステムであり、個々の利用者の要求に対応した情報提供を行うものではない。また、このため配信する情報は、配信先である一般の多くの利用者に対応するために、詳細な内容には及ばないように構成される傾向があり、個々の利用者が関心を持つ特定の分野の詳細な情報を配信することには適していない。

更に、データ放送を利用するためには、データ放送のための専用の受信装置を各利用者が備える必要がある。通常、データ放送の受信装置は、データ放送の受信のみに用いる専用の装置であり、かつ高価であるため、その設置に必要とする利用者の負担も大きい。

利用者への番組の関連情報等の提供は、インターネット等の通信回線への接続機能を備える、家庭用電子計算機（パーソナルコンピュータ）や携帯電話やＰＨＳ等の、既に広く普及している端末により行えることが好ましい。

また、番組に関連する情報を利用者に提供する従来の情報提供システムには、他に特開平０９−１６０８５２号公報や、特開２０００−１１５０９４号公報に開示された従来技術がある。

特開平０９−１６０８５２号公報の従来技術では、受信中のテレビのチャンネルを通知する機能を備えるテレビ受像機（放送受信端末）と、そのテレビ受像機に接続しかつ通信ネットワーク上の情報提供サーバ（アドレスサーバ）と通信するユーザ端末とを利用者が備えて、情報提供サーバからの情報提供を受ける情報提供装置が提案されている。

これは、利用者がユーザ端末を操作して、テレビ受像機に受信中のテレビ番組の詳細な情報の要求を指示すると、ユーザ端末が現在時刻と受信中のチャンネル番号を計算機ネットワーク上の情報提供サーバに通知する。

そして、情報提供サーバ側では、予め各チャンネルの各放送時刻における番組に対応して、各番組に関する情報を電話回線等を介して提供する情報サーバのアドレスを記録しておき、利用者からの情報の要求に応じて、対応する情報サーバを検索しこれを利用者のユーザ端末に通知するのである。

特開２０００−１１５０９４号公報の従来技術では、ラジオ放送の番組内で放送された音楽作品の音声データを、インターネット等の通信回線を介して入手する伝送システムであるブックマークラジオシステムが提案されている。

これは、ラジオの放送局において、放送中の音楽の音声データを利用者が入手するために用いるデータ（付加情報のデータ）を、その音楽と共に放送する。利用者は、ラジオの受信機の機能を備えるユーザ端末を用いて、音楽と共に付加情報データを受信し、もしその音楽の音声データを入手したい時にはその付加情報データをユーザ端末にする。そして、利用者は、その付加情報に示される通信ネットワーク上の当該音声データの提供元にアクセスし、音声データを入手するのである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述したように従来の放送される番組に関する情報を提供する情報提供システムでは、以下に述べるような問題点があった。

第１に、従来の情報提供システムでは、情報提供を利用するために専用のハードウェア装置を必要としていた。例えば、各利用者には高価な専用の受信装置を備える必要があり、システムの普及に障害となっていた。

更に、情報の提供側でも、データ放送の放送設備や、又特開２０００−１１５０９４号公報の従来技術における付加情報の放送設備等を備える必要があり、多くの設備投資を必要とするものであった。

第２に、従来の情報提供システムでは、番組に関する情報を要求するためのユーザ端末における操作が不便であった。例えば、その情報を要求する番組の指定は、当該番組の放送中に番組を指定する操作や、又情報を要求する操作を実行する必要があった。

つまり、放送中の番組では、視聴者が番組の個々のシーンに関連する情報を閲覧する場合に、その関連情報の閲覧中にも番組が進行してしまうため、その進行してしまった部分を見落としたり、その部分における関連情報の取得が困難である等の問題点がある。また、番組終了後等に各シーンの関連情報を再度深く掘り下げて取得する等の処理を行うこともできない。

このように、各番組内の詳細な個々の場面毎に個別の情報を提供するサービスには適していなかった。また、現在放送中の番組に対する情報に限られるため、ビデオやＤＶＤや音楽ＣＤ等の内容に対応して情報を提供することもできなかった。

本発明の第１の目的は、上記従来技術の欠点を解決し、放送メディアと計算機ネットワークによる通信メディアの組合せにより、専用のハードウェア回路を必要とせずに放送メディアで提供される情報に関連した情報を、容易に通信メディアから提供することができる情報提供システムとその情報提供方法、及び情報提供プログラムを記録した記録媒体を提供することである。

本発明の第２の目的は、上記従来技術の欠点を解決し、放送中の番組に関する情報を提供するのみではなく、同様にビデオやＤＶＤその他録画・録音された番組の各場面に関連する詳細な情報をネットワークを介して提供する情報提供システムとその情報提供方法、及び情報提供プログラムを記録した記録媒体を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の第1の情報提供システムは、通信回線を介して、利用者に情報を提供する情報提供システムにおいて、利用者のユーザ端末と通信し情報提供を行う情報提供サーバを備え、情報提供サーバは、利用者が情報提供を要求する対象を示す関心情報を、ユーザ端末から受信し登録する関心情報処理手段と、利用者からの情報提供の実行の要求を受け付ける関連情報処理手段と、関心情報に指定される対象毎に、当該対象に関する情報を通信回線上に公開する情報サイトのアドレスを登録する対応テーブルと、関心情報を基に対応テーブルを検索し、該当する情報サイトのアドレスを利用者に通知する情報提供手段とを備え、対応テーブルは、放送される番組及び番組内の各場面の放送時刻に対応して、その番組及びその番組内の各場面に関連する情報を提供する情報サイトのアドレスを登録しておき、関心情報処理手段は、ユーザ端末からの、情報提供を要求する対象を指定する通信を受信する手段と、当該通信が発信された時刻と当該通信に含まれる利用者の識別情報を関心情報に含めて登録する手段を備え、情報提供手段は、ユーザ端末から、情報提供の実行の要求があった場合に、当該要求に含まれる利用者の識別情報に対応する関心情報に記録された通信の時刻において、放送されていた番組及び当該番組内の場面に関連する情報を提供する情報サイトのアドレスを、対応テーブルを参照して検索し、該当するアドレスを利用者に通知する。

以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
