【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing contents such as a television program using a removable optical disc as a recording medium, and in particular, without waiting for completion of initial processing of the optical disc after insertion of the optical disc. In particular, the present invention relates to an optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus capable of reproducing content recorded on an optical disc.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, an optical disk recording / reproducing apparatus using a DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) medium, particularly a rewritable medium such as DVD-RW or DVD-RAM, as a recording medium for large-capacity contents such as a television program and video / music data. Developed and commercialized.
[0003]
Here, “optical disk” refers to a recording medium on which data can be recorded and reproduced by irradiating a pit formed on the disk surface with laser light and reading the reflected light. Yes, in addition to DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, etc., CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, MO, etc. are also included (the same applies hereinafter).
[0004]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in order to find a recording medium on which a content that a user wants to view is recorded from a plurality of recording media (including an optical disk), a paper on which identification information such as a title of the content recorded on each recording medium is recorded. In general, a label is attached to each recording medium main body or its cartridge in advance, and this paper label is used as a clue.
[0005]
However, in recent years, the capacity of recording media has increased, and in particular, it is possible to record a large amount of content on one optical disk such as a DVD. For this reason, in the method of pasting a paper label, identification information of many contents recorded on a large-capacity recording medium such as a DVD cannot be described on the paper label.
[0006]
Generally, a recording medium such as a DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, or DVD-RAM includes index information about the recorded content (for example, a title of the content or a thumbnail image indicating the content). When these recording media are inserted into the recording / reproducing apparatus, the list of index information is automatically displayed. The user can operate the recording / reproducing apparatus so as to select a desired content from the index information and reproduce the content.
[0007]
By the way, when the optical disc is inserted into the recording / reproducing apparatus, initial processing for reading the optical disc is performed. This initial process includes adjustment of the power of the laser beam applied to the optical disk, reading of file management information and content index information from the optical disk, etc., and usually from several seconds to several tens of seconds after the optical disk is inserted. It takes time. After the initial process is completed, the user can obtain index information from the optical disc, play back the recorded content, or record the content on the optical disc.
[0008]
Therefore, in order to search for a recording medium on which content that the user wants to view is recorded from among a large number of optical disks, the index information recorded on each optical disk is displayed on the recording / reproducing apparatus one after another. There is a problem in that it takes time to complete the initial process every time it is inserted.
[0009]
In order to solve such a problem, Patent Literature 1 proposes a media control device including a method for quickly acquiring index information of content recorded on an optical disc. This media control device uses an optical disc recording / playback device equipped with a barcode reading function to print a barcode indicating an identification code that can uniquely identify the optical disc on the optical disc itself or on the label surface of the cartridge, and record it on the optical disc. The contents information of the recorded contents is recorded on the hard disk in the optical disk recording / reproducing apparatus in association with the identification code.
[0010]
With this configuration, when an optical disc is inserted, the identification code is read from the barcode on the label surface of the optical disc, and the index information of the content associated with the identification code is read from the hard disk and recorded on the inserted optical disc. The index information of the content being displayed can be displayed. In other words, since index information can be acquired in a short time without performing initial processing of the optical disc when the optical disc is inserted, a user can search for an optical disc on which content to be viewed is recorded from a plurality of optical discs. Can be performed in a shorter time than conventional.
[Patent Document 1]
JP 2002-10183 A
[0011]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When a user inserts an optical disc into the conventional optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus as described above and finds content to be viewed in the displayed index information, the user can select and reproduce the content. However, as described above, in order to play back the content, the initial processing for the optical disc needs to be completed. Even if the user tries to reproduce the content selected from the index information, if the initial process is not completed, it is necessary to wait for the content to be viewed until the initial process is completed. For this reason, even if the index information is acquired in a short time as described above, a waiting time may occur until the content is reproduced.
[0012]
The conventional optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus can also be configured to perform the acquisition and display of index information and the initial processing of the optical disc in parallel when the optical disc is inserted. However, if the user selects and reproduces the content quickly, the initial processing of the optical disc may not be completed, so that a waiting time is generated until the content is reproduced as described above.
[0013]
In the invention described in Patent Document 1, the optical disk recording / playback apparatus includes a hard disk, and by storing index information of the optical disk that has been inserted once and contents associated therewith in the hard disk. The content selected by the user can be quickly reproduced without waiting for the completion of the initial processing of the optical disc. However, since the storage capacity of the hard disk of the optical disk recording / reproducing apparatus is limited, it is not possible to store all the contents of a plurality of large capacity optical disks such as DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, and DVD-RAM.
[0014]
Therefore, after inserting the optical disc into the optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus, it takes several seconds to several tens of seconds to initialize the optical disc, so that there is still a problem that the user cannot quickly reproduce the content. Yes.
[0015]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus that can improve such a problem in a conventional optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus and can quickly reproduce contents after inserting the optical disc.
[0016]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of diligent research in view of the above problems, the present inventor stores a part of the head portion of the content recorded on the optical disc in a storage means such as a hard disk device provided in the optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus. Thus, after the optical disc is inserted, the initial portion of the content stored in the storage means is reproduced while the initial processing is being performed, and the continuation of the content is reproduced from the optical disc after the initial processing is completed. The optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus has been conceived.
[0017]
That is, the present invention is an apparatus for reproducing a recording medium, in which a part of the content of the recording medium is stored in advance, and the recording medium is recorded even before completion of an initial process for reading the recording medium. The apparatus which can reproduce | regenerate the content of this is provided. Thereby, even before the completion of the initial processing of the optical disc, it is possible to reproduce the content immediately after the optical disc is inserted by reproducing a part of the content stored in the apparatus.
[0018]
The present invention also provides an optical disc identification means for reading optical disc identification information contained in the optical disc, an optical disc information storage means for storing information relating to the optical disc, an optical disc information reproduction means for reproducing information read from the optical disc information storage means, The information relating to the optical disc includes a part of the content recorded on the optical disc as a partial content, and the optical disc information reproducing means can reproduce the partial content. An optical disk reproducing apparatus is provided.
[0019]
The partial content includes a head portion of each content recorded on the optical disc, and the optical disc playback apparatus reads the optical disc by the optical disc identification means during initial processing for reading the optical disc after the optical disc is inserted. The partial content corresponding to the optical disc is acquired from the optical disc information storage means based on the identification information of the optical disc, and the partial content is reproduced by the optical disc information reproduction means.
[0020]
In the present invention, when the initial processing of the optical disc is completed, the optical disc playback device switches from playback of the partial content to playback of content recorded on the optical disc corresponding to the partial content. Can do.
[0021]
Alternatively, the optical disc playback device switches from playback of the partial content to playback of content recorded on the optical disc corresponding to the partial content when a predetermined time has elapsed after the optical disc is inserted. Also good.
[0022]
Alternatively, when the playback of all of the partial content is completed, the optical disc playback apparatus switches from playback of the partial content to playback of content recorded on the optical disc corresponding to the partial content. You can also.
[0023]
Since the partial content has a reproduction time longer than the maximum time required for the initial processing of the optical disc, in any case, after the completion of the initial processing, the content recorded on the optical disc is reproduced from the reproduction of the partial content. It is possible to smoothly switch to playback.
[0024]
The partial content includes the same time code as the content recorded on the optical disc, and the time code is used when switching from the reproduction of the partial content to the reproduction of the content recorded on the optical disc. Thus, the playback timing can be synchronized.
[0025]
Furthermore, the optical disk reproducing apparatus of the present invention compares the information recorded on the inserted optical disk with the information on the optical disk stored in the optical disk information storage means. The optical disk information storage means overwrites information recorded on the optical disk.
[0026]
Further, the optical disc reproducing apparatus of the present invention compares information recorded on the inserted optical disc with information on the optical disc stored in the optical disc information storage means, and if these are different, In order to prevent playback of discontinuous content, playback is not switched to the content of the optical disc.
[0027]
The present invention is also an apparatus for reproducing an optical disc including medium identification information, the medium identification information, content information relating to content recorded on the optical disc, and content recorded on the optical disc. Optical disc information storage means for storing a partial content in association with one another, and when an optical disc is inserted into the apparatus, the medium identification information of the optical disc is obtained and stored in the optical disc information storage means An identification information discriminating means for searching for and acquiring information that matches the acquired medium identification information, and partial content playback for playing back the partial content corresponding to the inserted optical disc acquired by the identification information discriminating means And when the optical disk is inserted into the device, the optical disk can be played back. An optical disc playback preparation means for performing an initial process for performing the processing, and when the optical disc playback preparation means completes the initial processing of the optical disc during partial content playback by the partial content playback means, Thus, there is provided an optical disc playback apparatus comprising: an optical disc playback switching means for switching to playback of the corresponding content read from the optical disc.
[0028]
The present invention is also a computer-executable control program for controlling the operation of any one of the above-described optical disc playback apparatuses, and starts reading the identification information of the inserted optical disc and initial processing of the optical disc. And obtaining information relating to the optical disc from the optical disc information storage means, and when the reproduction of the optical disc is instructed before the initial processing of the optical disc is completed, the optical disc A control program for reproducing the partial data of the content of the optical disc included in the information on the recording medium is provided.
[0029]
The present invention also provides a computer-readable recording medium on which the control program is recorded.
The present invention also provides an optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus characterized in that, in any one of the above optical disc reproducing apparatuses, content can be written on the disc.
[0030]

In the operations of the first to third embodiments described above, after the optical disc is inserted, the user selects a desired content from the displayed content selection menu and performs a playback operation. Immediately after that, when there is an operation for instructing content playback such as pressing the playback button, the content recorded on the inserted optical disc is randomly selected without displaying the content selection menu. May be played back.
[0099]
At this time, if the initial processing of the optical disc is not completed, the corresponding partial stream can be acquired based on the disc ID information of the inserted optical disc and can be reproduced at random. For example, when only one content is recorded on the optical disc and the user knows the content of the optical disc, the user can play the content without having to bother selecting the content from the content selection menu. Thus, user operations up to content reproduction can be simplified.
[0100]
Alternatively, after the optical disc is inserted, the corresponding partial stream may be randomly acquired based on the disc ID information of the inserted optical disc and displayed without displaying the content selection menu. As a result, the user can reproduce the content only by inserting the disc without selecting the necessary content from the content selection menu, so that the user's work associated with the content reproduction can be reduced.
[0101]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus of the present invention, each optical disc is given a unique identification code, and the table of contents information and content of the content recorded on the optical disc having the identification code and the identification code are provided. The identification code is acquired when the optical disk is inserted, and the identification code is acquired when the acquired identification code matches the identification code held. When the initial processing of the optical disc is started and the initial processing is completed, it is possible to switch to playback of the content data recorded on the inserted optical disc.
[0102]
As a result, when the user selects the content to be played after the content selection menu is displayed after inserting the optical disc, the user can play the selected content even if the initial processing of the optical disc is not completed. Therefore, the user can view the selected content without waiting for the time required for the initial processing of the optical disc.
