本発明は、音声データを複数のトラックに録音、或いは、PCMデータファイル(WAVファイルやAIFFファイル等の音声データをコード化したデータからなるファイル)より得られるPCMデータを複数のトラックにインポート(格納)し、各トラックのデータを、編集した後、再生可能なマルチトラックレコーダに係り、特に、PCMデータファイルに含まれるPCMデータの一部を事前に聞き取ることのできるプレビュー機能を具備したマルチトラックレコーダに関する。

【従来の技術】
複数の音声をそれぞれ別個に録音し、録音した各音声を適宜編集した後、再生する装置として、従来よりマルチトラックレコーダが知られており、実用に供されている。マルチトラックレコーダは、複数のトラックにそれぞれ音声データ(発声音、或いは、楽器音等のデータ)を録音することができるので、例えば、第1のトラックにピアノの楽音を録音し、第2のトラックに太鼓の楽音を録音すれば、これらの音(ピアノの音と太鼓の音)を編集して出力することができるので、例えば、スタジオでのレコーディングの際に極めて有用である。

図4は、従来におけるマルチトラックレコーダ、及びその周辺機器の構成を概略的に示す機能ブロック図である。同図に示すように、このマルチトラックレコーダ101は、マイクロフォンや音源機器より得られる音声信号を、ディジタル化するA/D変換器103と、ディジタル化された音声信号を一時的に記憶する録音バッファ104と、外部記憶装置(CD−ROM等)108に記憶されているPCMデータファイル、或いは録音バッファ104に一時記憶された音声信号データを記憶するファイル記憶部105と、レコーダ109と、を具備している。

このような従来のマルチトラックレコーダ101では、PCMデータファイルをレコーダ109内にインポートする際に、操作者がPCMデータファイルの内容を把握していない場合、即ち、PCMデータファイルに書き込まれている音声データが、どのような音声であったかを知ることができない場合には、とりあえず、このPCMデータファイルをレコーダ109内の任意のトラックにインポートし、このPCMデータファイルを再生して聞き取ることにより、PCMデータファイルの内容を確認する必要がある。

ところが、例えばPCMデータファイルに音楽1曲分が書き込まれている場合のように、PCMデータファイルのデータ量が多い場合には、外部記憶装置108に記憶されているPCMデータファイルをインポートしてレコーダ109内に格納するまでに、長時間を要してしまう。

従って、レコーダ109内にインポートしたPCMデータファイルが、所望するファイルと異なっている場合には、再度他のPCMデータファイルをインポートしてその内容を確認する、という作業が必要となり、操作者にとって極めて煩わしい作業となる。

また、PCMデータファイルをインポートすると、このPCMデータファイルは、レコーダ109のトラックに以前に格納されていた音声データ(既存のデータ)に対して上書きされるので、単に外部記憶装置108内に記憶されているPCMデータファイルの内容を確認したい、という要望であっても、レコーダ109の1つのトラックの既存データが破壊されるという問題が発生する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前述のように、従来におけるマルチトラックレコーダ101では、外部記憶装置108に格納されているPCMデータファイルの内容を確認する際には、一旦このPCMデータファイルをレコーダ109内にインポートした後これを再生して聞き取る作業が必要であり、PCMデータファイルのデータ量が多い場合には、この内容を確認するために、長時間を要するという欠点があった。また、PCMデータファイルの内容を確認するためには、レコーダ109の一つのトラックを用いて、該トラックに上書きする必要があるので、このトラックに格納されていた既存の音声データが破壊されるという欠点があった。

この発明はこのような従来の課題を解決するためになされたものであり、その目的とするところは、簡単な操作で外部記憶装置108に記憶されているPCMデータファイルの音声の一部を聞き取ることができるプレビュー機能を具備したマルチトラックレコーダを提供することにある。

上記目的を達成するため、本発明は、複数のトラックを有し、音声データ、或いは、外部記憶手段に記憶されたPCMデータファイルから読み出したPCMデータを前記トラックに格納し、各トラックに格納されたデータを編集した後、再生するマルチトラックレコーダにおいて、
前記音声データまたは、前記PCMデータの一部が入力されるとこれを一時的に記憶する録音バッファと、
複数トラックの記憶領域を有し前記複数トラックの各トラックに格納された音声データを出力するレコーダと、
リズムデータが記憶されるリズムデータ記憶手段と、
前記リズムデータ記憶手段に記憶されたリズムデータを出力するリズムオシレータと、ファイル記憶手段と、を具備し、

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係るマルチトラックレコーダの構成を示すハードウェア構成図、図2は、本実施形態の特徴部分を示す機能ブロック図である。

図1に示すように、このマルチトラックレコーダ1は、制御中枢となるCPU2と、各種操作入力を行うスイッチ3と、表示器4と、専用LSI5と、ハードディスク6と、主記憶部7と、CD−ROMドライブやMOドライブ等の外部記憶装置11と接続する外部インターフェース8と、A/D変換器9、及びD/A変換器10とを具備している。また、専用LSI5は、専用メモリ5aを具備している。

また、図2に示すファイル記憶部25は、図1に示すハードディスク6内に存在するものであり、録音バッファ22に一時記憶された音声データを記憶する機能と、外部記憶装置11に記憶されたPCMデータファイルを記憶する機能を有し、データの再生時にはレコーダ21の所望のトラックへ音声データを出力する。なお、本実施形態でいうPCMデータファイルとしては、WAVファイル、AIFFファイル、及び、各機種固有の音声フォーマットファイルを利用することができる。

次に、前述のように構成された本実施形態の動作を、図3に示すフローチャートを参照しながら説明する。操作者は、外部記憶装置11に記憶されているPCMデータファイルの内容を確認したい場合には、図1に示すスイッチ3にて所望の操作を入力する。これにより、外部記憶装置11内に記憶されているPCMデータファイルを開く処理が実行される(ステップST1)。

そして、このPCMデータファイルがレコーダ21にインポートできる形式であるかどうか(サンプリング周波数や量子化ビット数が適合しているか等)を確認する(ステップST2)。そして、インポートできない場合(ステップST3でNO)には、この時点でエラーであると判断し、ファイルをインポートする操作を終了する(ステップST4)。

以上説明したように、本発明によれば、外部記憶装置に記憶されているPCMデータファイルを、レコーダにインポートする際に、事前に該PCMデータファイルの内容をプレビューすることができるので、操作者は、簡単な操作でインポートするPCMデータファイルを確認することができる。
