Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a foreign matter removing apparatus for removing foreign matter such as paper dust adhering to both end portions of a printing material such as web.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Rotary printing presses such as BF (business form) printing presses, commercial offset rotary printing presses, and newspaper printing presses use webs as printing materials. Foreign materials such as paper dust, dust, and dust adhere to the surface of the web. If foreign matter adheres to the material to be printed, printing ink will not adhere well, resulting in inconveniences such as deterioration in printing quality. For example, in the case of offset printing, foreign matter adheres and accumulates on the blanket cylinder that contacts the printing material, adversely affecting print quality, and therefore the blanket cylinder needs to be washed frequently.
[0003]
Conventionally, in order to avoid such inconvenience, the printing material is used for printing after being wiped by a wiping device.
[0004]
Examples of the wiping device for the printing material include those disclosed in JP-A-5-193112, JP-A-6-320711, and JP-A-7-256862. The wiping device disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-193112 is a device in which a diaphragm is opposed to printing paper and a cloth is interposed therebetween. Water is sprayed from a nozzle to wet the cloth, and the diaphragm is expanded to remove the cloth. The paper is pressed against the printing paper and wiped with this cloth. In the wiping device disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-320711, water is sprayed from the nozzle onto the surface of the rotating chrome plating roller to form a water film on the roller surface, and the nonwoven fabric is brought into contact with the roller on which the water film is formed. At the same time, the nonwoven fabric is pressed against the surface of the running printing paper. The wiping device disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-256862 is a method in which a chrome plating roller is immersed in water in a water boat and rotated to transfer a water film formed on the roller surface to a non-woven fabric and the surface of printing paper running on the non-woven fabric. To be pressed against.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Art paper, coated paper, and the like, which are high-quality paper, are coated papers, so there is little generation of paper dust from the surface of the paper, and much paper dust is generated from the side edge of the paper that is the slitter surface. Therefore, when the web is coated paper or the like, it is more economical to wipe off both end portions and the vicinity thereof intensively.
[0006]
Further, fine slitter scraps and plasticizer powder adhere to the slitter surface of the film which is a soft packaging material. Therefore, even when printing on a film by a gravure rotary press or the like, it is desirable to remove slitter waste and the like from the side end of the printing material in advance.
[0007]
Further, there is a case where static electricity is generated on the web or the film. When the amount of static electricity is increased, the print quality is deteriorated and there is a possibility that troubles such as unevenness of printed matter occur in the paper discharge unit.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the invention according to claim 1 is a water-retaining wiping material (15) disposed so that the printing material (4) that travels is sandwiched from the front and back at the side end portions (4a, 4b). , 16), pressing means for pressing the wiping material (15, 16) against the side ends (4a, 4b) of the printing material (4), and water supply for supplying water to the wiping material (15, 16) Means (39, etc.), and the wiping material (15, 16) is fed from the vicinity of the center of the front and back sides of the printing material (4) toward the left and right side edges (4a, 4b), respectively. The belt rolls (15a, 16a) for the left end portion are arranged in the vicinity of the center of the front and back of the printing material (4), and are wound in a state in which these two strip materials are stacked. The collection roll (17) is disposed outside the left end (4a). Similarly, the feeding roll and the collecting roll for the right side end portion are arranged outside the right end portion (4b), and the pressing means removes the wiping material (15, 16) from the back side of the printing material. The pressing members (34, 35) are pressed against the side end portions (4a, 4b) of (4), and the pressing members (34, 35) are the materials to be printed on the front and back of the printing material (4). A foreign matter removing device (1) for printing material, which is shifted in the traveling direction of (4) and pushed into the opposite surface side of the printing material (4), is employed.
[0010]
Further, in the invention according to claim 2 , the wiping material supply rolls (15a, 16a) and the recovery roll (17) are provided with a frame (10a) for each side end (4a, 4b) of the printing material (4). , 10b), and the frame (10a, 10b) is supported on the guide rail (8) arranged so as to cross the printing material (4). The apparatus (1) is employed.
[0011]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided the first or second aspect of the present invention, wherein the printing material (4) is installed on the traveling path between the paper feeding unit (2) and the printing unit (3) of the printing press. [0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
[0013]
As shown in FIG. 1, the foreign matter removing apparatus 1 is installed on a travel path of a printing material 4 between a paper feeding unit 2 and a printing unit 3 of a printing press. The printing machine exemplified here is an offset rotary press, and has an infeed unit 5 between the paper feeding unit 2 and the printing unit 3. The paper as the printing material 4 fed out from the web 11 loaded in the paper feeding unit 2 is adjusted in tension by various rollers 6 in the infeed unit 5 and then goes to the printing unit 3 for printing. After being printed in one color or a plurality of colors on both the front and back surfaces in the section 3, it is discharged from a discharge section (not shown). The foreign matter removing apparatus 1 is disposed at a location where the printing material 4 travels in a substantially vertical direction within the infeed portion 5, but may be disposed at other travel locations as long as it is before the printing portion 3. . The printing material 4 travels in the printing machine at a speed of, for example, about 600 to 800 m / min in the direction of the arrow, removes foreign matter adhering to the left and right side edges, and then reaches the printing unit 3 for printing.
[0014]
As shown in FIG. 2, the foreign matter removing device includes a cross beam 7 arranged so as to cross the printing material 4. Two box-shaped frames 10a and 10b are held in a cantilever manner on the horizontal beam 7 via a guide rail 8 and a feed screw 9. The frames 10a and 10b are arranged corresponding to the left and right side edges 4a and 4b of the printing material 4, and the frames 10a and 10b are substantially V-shaped into which the left and right side edges 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 respectively enter. Notches 12a and 12b are formed. The feed screw 9 has left and right half reverse left and right screws, and is rotated forward or reverse by a motor 13 or a manual handle attached to one end of the cross beam 7. When the feed screw 9 is rotated by driving the motor 13, the left and right frames 10a and 10b are moved symmetrically in the width direction of the printing material 4 with respect to the center of the printing press, and the width of the printing material 4 is increased. It moves to the side end portions 4a and 4b whose position in the printing machine changes according to the size of the printing press. In addition, when the side edge 4b of the printing material 4 is detected on one frame 10b, the motor 13 is stopped and the projection for making the frames 10a and 10b face the left and right side edges 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 is stopped. A sensor 14 comprising a light receiver is attached.
[0015]
The feed screw 9 is provided when the printing material 4 is threaded with reference to the center of the printing machine, but when the printing material 4 is threaded with reference to one side of the printing machine. The feed screw 9 is omitted, and the positions of the left and right frames 10a and 10b are adjusted by the operator according to the positions of the left and right end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4.
[0016]
In the right frame 10b, as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, wiping materials 15 and 16 having water retention arranged so as to sandwich the traveling printing material 4 from the front and back at the right end portion 4b, A pressing means for pressing the wiping materials 15 and 16 against the right end 4b of the printing material 4 is provided. Although not shown, a wiping material or the like for wiping off foreign matters from the left end portion 4a of the printing material 4 is disposed in the left frame 10a symmetrically with the right end portion.
[0017]
As the wiping materials 15 and 16, for example, a continuous sheet formed in a band shape with a width of about 10 cm is used, and the feeding rolls 15 a and 16 a obtained by winding the continuous sheet into rolls have notches 12 a and 12 b in the frames 10 a and 10 b. Two are attached so as to be sandwiched between them. One feeding roll 15a corresponds to the surface of the printed material 4 that has entered the notches 12a and 12b, and the other feeding roll 16a corresponds to the back surface of the printed material 4 that has entered the notches 12a and 12b. The wiping materials 15 and 16 fed out from both the feeding rolls 15a and 16a are stretched along the contours of the notches 12a and 12b, overlapped, and then wound up as the collecting roll 17 in a state of being overlapped. A collection roll 17 for winding the two wiping materials is provided at the back of the notches 12a and 12b of the frames 10a and 10b. Of course, the collecting roll 17 can be provided for each of the feeding rolls 15a and 16a.
[0018]
The wiping materials 15 and 16 are made of, for example, a nonwoven fabric having water retention. The wiping materials 15 and 16 wipe off foreign matters such as paper dust from the left and right end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 in a state including water supplied from the water supply means. A net-like material can be used as the wiping material, and in that case, foreign matters such as paper dust can be taken into the mesh. As the nonwoven fabric, for example, a cellulose-based material can be used. Further, a cotton cloth, a cold koji or the like can be used instead of the non-woven fabric.
[0019]
The wiping materials 15 and 16 are fed little by little from the feeding rolls 15a and 16a toward the collecting roll 17 by the feeding means described below.
[0020]
That is, in each frame 10a, 10b, a pair of feed rollers 18, 19 disposed so as to sandwich the notches 12a, 12b on the inlet side of the notches 12a, 12b, and the wiping materials 15, 16 on the feed rollers 18, 19 are provided. Nip rollers 20 and 21 for pressing and guide rollers 22 disposed on the back side of the notches 12a and 12b are provided, and the wiping materials 15 and 16 fed from the pair of feeding rolls 15a and 16a are fed to the feed rollers 18 and 19, respectively. And the nip rollers 20, 21 are overlapped around the guide roller 22 and wound around the collection roll 17. The shafts of the feeding rolls 15a and 16a are supported by the frames 10a and 10b via a friction clutch (not shown). As shown in FIG. 5, the pair of feed rollers 18 and 19 are connected to an air cylinder 23 fixed to the frames 10a and 10b via a link device 24, and each time the rod of the air cylinder 23 reciprocates. By reciprocating a predetermined angle, the wiping materials 15 and 16 are pulled out by a predetermined length from the feeding rolls 15a and 16a. This predetermined length is 2 mm, for example, and it is paid out every time 1 minute elapses. The nip rollers 20 and 21 are constantly urged toward the feed rollers 18 and 19 by a spring or the like (not shown) interposed between the arms 24 and 25 supporting the nip rollers 20 and 21 and the frames 10a and 10b. 15 and 16 are pressed against the surfaces of the feed rollers 18 and 19. As shown in FIG. 4, the torque of the motor 26 is transmitted to the recovery roll 17 through gears 27a and 27b and a friction clutch (not shown). As a result, the wiping materials 15 and 16 are pulled between the feeding rolls 15a and 16a and the collection roll 17 without loosening with an appropriate tension, and the wiping materials 15 and 16 are driven from the feeding rolls 15a and 16a by driving the air cylinder 23. Simultaneously with the feeding, the wiping materials 15 and 16 are immediately wound around the collecting roll 17. As described above, the strip-shaped wiping materials 15 and 16 intermittently travel to the collecting roll 17 via the feed rollers 18 and 19 and the guide roller 22, thereby wiping off foreign matters from both side end portions 4 a and 4 b of the printing material 4. When the wiping materials 15 and 16 are viewed in the width direction of the printing material 4, the printing material such as paper dust removed from moving from the vicinity of the center of the printing material 4 to the side edges 4 a and 4 b Reattachment to the material 4 is prevented.
[0021]
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, other arms 28 and 29 are fixed to the support shafts of the arms 24 and 25 that support the nip rollers 20 and 21, and the cams 30 and 31 are attached to the other arms 28 and 29. , And operating levers 32 and 33 are attached to the cams 30 and 31, respectively. When the operation levers 32 and 33 are operated to rotate the cams 30 and 31, the nip rollers 20 and 21 are separated from the feed rollers 18 and 19, so that the detaching operation of the wiping materials 15 and 16 is simplified. Further, the feed rollers 18 and 19 and the guide roller 22 are provided with crowns as necessary so that the wiping materials 15 and 16 are not pulled by the printing material 4 in contact.
[0022]
Further, the wiping materials 15 and 16 can be fixed and used when the foreign matter taking-in capacity is large, and may be replaced whenever a predetermined time elapses. Further, the feeding rolls are attached to the frames 10a and 10b one by one so that one line of the wiping material is reversed from the front side or the back side to the back side or the front side of the printing material 4 with respect to one end of the printing material 4. You may send and wipe the side edge. Further, the frames 10a, 10b, etc. can be provided only on one side in order to wipe off only one end portion of the printing material 4.
[0023]
The pressing means is configured as pressing members 34, 35 that press the wiping materials 15, 16 against both side ends 4 a, 4 b of the printing material 4 from the back surface. Although the pressing members 34 and 35 are formed in a roller shape, the rollers may be rotatable or may be fixed so as not to rotate. The pressing members 34 and 35 may be formed in other shapes such as a semi-cylindrical shape. As shown in FIG. 6, the pair of pressing members 34 and 35 of the printing material 4 can press the wiping materials 15 and 16 against the side edges 4 a and 4 b of the traveling printing material 4 with an appropriate force. It is shifted in the running direction and pushed into the opposite surface side of the printing material 4. Further, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, the pressing members 34 and 35 can be brought into contact with and separated from the side end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 by driving air cylinders 36 and 37 fixed to the frames 10a and 10b. It is.
[0024]
The surfaces of the pressing members 34 and 35 may be covered with a simple rubber layer, or may be covered with a porous body layer. The porous body layer is formed as a thin surface layer on the surface of the relatively hard and waisted roller body, and has a property that water can easily permeate, and water can easily exude when pressed against the wiping materials 15 and 16. The surface of the porous body layer is finished smoothly so as not to generate a large frictional force between the wiping materials 15 and 16. The porous body layer can also be formed by covering a surface of a rubber roller, a metal roller or the like with a resin sleeve having water retention, or wrapping a cloth or string made of fibers such as cotton.
[0025]
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the water supply means for supplying water to the wiping materials 15 and 16 includes a water supply tank 38, a conduit 39 for supplying water from the water supply tank 38 to the pressing members 34 and 35, and a conduit Electromagnetic valves 40 and 41 provided on 39, and nozzles 42 and 43 attached at locations where the tips of the conduit 39 face the pressing members 34 and 35 are provided. An appropriate amount of water in the water supply tank 38 is fed into the conduit 39 by opening and closing operations of the electromagnetic valves 40 and 41, and discharged from the nozzles 42 and 43 onto the pressing members 34 and 35. The water discharged from the nozzles 42 and 43 soaks into the wiping materials 15 and 16 through the pressing members 34 and 35. The wiping materials 15 and 16 wipe off foreign matter from both side end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 in a wet state containing water. When printing is stopped, the solenoid valves 40 and 41 are closed and the supply of water to the wiping materials 15 and 16 is stopped. Of course, by making the nozzles 42 and 43 face the wiping materials 15 and 16, water can be directly supplied to the wiping materials 15 and 16 without pressing the members 34 and 35.
[0026]
Next, the operation of the foreign matter removing apparatus will be described.
[0027]
Prior to the start of the printing press, the positions of the frames 10a and 10b are adjusted by driving the motor 13 in accordance with the positions of the side edges 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 in the printing press. When the feed screw 9 rotates and the frames 10a and 10b move on the guide rail 8 and the sensor 14 catches the side end 4b of the printing material 4, the frames 10a and 10b stop. As a result, as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the wiping materials 15 and 16 sandwich the both end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 from the front side and the back side, respectively.
[0028]
On the other hand, water is supplied from the water supply tank 38 to the nozzles 42 and 43 by the opening and closing operation of the electromagnetic valves 40 and 41. Water discharged from the nozzles 42 and 43 adheres to and penetrates the wiping materials 15 and 16 through the pressing members 34 and 35.
[0029]
When the printing machine is started and the printing material 4 starts to travel from the paper feeding unit 2 to the printing unit 3, the pressing members 34 and 35 are moved from the solid line position to the two-dot chain line position in FIG. And the wiping materials 15 and 16 are pressed against both the front and back surfaces of the side edges 4a and 4b of the printing material 4. As a result, both end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 are wiped by the wiping materials 15 and 16, respectively, and foreign matters such as paper dust adhering to the both end portions 4a and 4b are wiped off. Moreover, static electricity is removed by applying appropriate moisture. In this way, the printing material 4 from which foreign matter has been removed from both side edges 4a and 4b and static electricity has been removed is directed to the printing unit 3 of the printing machine and printed on both the front and back sides or one side.
[0030]
The wiping materials 15 and 16 adsorb and remove foreign matters such as paper dust from both side end portions 4a and 4b of the printing material 4 through the soaked water. Paper dust or the like becomes muddy with water, is captured by the fibers or meshes of the wiping materials 15 and 16, and is collected by the collecting roll 17 together with the wiping materials 15 and 16. The wiping materials 15 and 16 are loosened under constant tension from the vicinity of the center of the printing material 4 toward the side edges 4a and 4b by a predetermined length by the action of the air cylinder 23, the motor 26, a friction clutch, and the like. It is delivered without. Since the wiping materials 15 and 16 are sent from the vicinity of the central portion of the printing material 4 toward the side edges 4a and 4b, the foreign matter once captured by the wiping materials 15 and 16 is attached to the printing material 4 again. There is nothing.
[0031]
When the speed of the printing material 4 decreases or stops due to printing interruption or the like, the pressing members 34 and 35 and the wiping materials 15 and 16 are pulled away from the surface of the printing material 4 by the operation of the air cylinders 36 and 37. At the same time, the water supply is stopped. This prevents breakage of the printing material 4 and excessive wiping of the wiping materials 15 and 16.
[0032]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, it is possible to remove foreign matters from the side end portion of the printing material to which foreign matters such as paper dusts are particularly likely to adhere, and perform proper printing.
[0033]
Moreover, according to this invention, the reattachment to the to-be-printed material of the foreign material wiped off with the wiping material can be prevented.
[0034]
Further , according to the present invention, the wiping material can be appropriately pressed against the printing material to enhance the wiping effect of the foreign matter.
