シラン官能性アスパルテート 1 の調製
アスパルテート樹脂を US 4,364,955 に従って調製した。撹拌機、熱電対、窒素注入口及び冷却器付き滴下漏斗を備えた 5 リットル容のフラスコに、3-アミノ-プロピル-トリメトキシシラン(OSI Corporation 製 Silquest A-1110)1483 g(8.27 当量)を添加した。滴下漏斗を使用して、マレイン酸ジエチル 1423.2 g(8.27 当量)を 2 時間かけて添加した。反応器の温度は、添加の間、25 ℃に維持した。反応器を更に 5 時間 25 ℃に維持し、この時点で、生成物をガラス製容器に注ぎ、窒素雰囲気下で密閉した。1 週間後、不飽和度は 0.6 であり、これは反応が約 99 %完了したことを示す。
官能価 2 及び当量 5783 を有するポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Bayer Corporation 製 Acclaim 12200、不飽和度 = 0.007 meq/g)。
Neodol 25 モノオール(Shell Chemical 社製)203 g(1.00 eq)を、ステンレス-スチール反応器に導入した。亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-t-ブチルアルコール錯体(0.143 g、US 5,482,908 に記載の方法により調製)を添加し、モノオールスターターから微量の水を除去するため、混合物を撹拌しながら減圧下 130 ℃で 1 時間加熱した。プロピレンオキシド(8547 g、194.2 eq)を反応器に 6 時間かけて添加した。エポキシドの添加完了後、更なる圧力低下が起こらなくなるまで混合物を 130 ℃で加熱した。生成物を減圧ストリッピングし、その後、反応器から取り出した。得られたポリエーテルは、6.4 の OH 価、8750 の当量、1 の官能価、0.01 meq/g 未満の不飽和度を有していた。
5 リットル容の丸底フラスコに、撹拌機、窒素注入口、冷却器、ヒーター及び滴下漏斗を取り付けた。フラスコに、127.9 g(1.15 eq)のイソホロンジイソシアネート、2691.6 g(0.47 eq)のポリエーテルジオール 1、946.7 g(0.11 eq)のポリエーテルモノオール 2 及び 0.78 g のジブチル錫ジラウレートを導入した。NCO 含有量が 0.58 %(理論値は 0.63 %)になるまで、反応物を 60 ℃で 8 時間加熱した。202.2 g(0.55 eq)のシラン官能性アルパルテート 1 を添加し、IR スペクトルによる測定で NCO がなくなるまで、フラスコを 60 ℃で更に 1 時間加熱した。氷酢酸 19.9 g を添加し、温度を 110 ℃まで上昇させた。ウレアピークがなくなり環状ウレアピークが現れたことを、IR スペクトルが示すまで、反応混合物を 110 ℃で 3 時間維持した。ビニルトリメトキシシラン 19.8 g を湿分掃去剤として添加し、ブチル化ヒドロキシトルエン 9.9 g 及び Naugard 445(Crompton 社製)6.1 g を酸化防止剤として添加した。得られた生成物は、25 ℃で 54,000 mPa.s の粘度を有していた。
3 リットル容の丸底フラスコに、撹拌機、窒素注入口、冷却器、ヒーター及び滴下漏斗を取り付けた。フラスコに、80.0 g(0.72 eq)のイソホロンジイソシアネート、1680.4 g(0.31 eq)のポリエーテルジオール 1、591.7 g(0.07 eq)のポリエーテルモノオール 2 及び 0.53 g のジブチル錫ジラウレートを導入した。NCO 含有量が 0.60 %(理論値は 0.62 %)になるまで、反応物を 60 ℃で 8 時間加熱した。126.4 g(0.34 eq)のシラン官能性アルパルテート 1 を添加し、IR スペクトルによる測定で NCO がなくなるまで、フラスコを 60 ℃で更に 1 時間加熱した。ビニルトリメトキシシラン 5.5 g を湿分掃去剤として添加し、ブチル化ヒドロキシトルエン 6.2 g 及び Naugard 445(Crompton 社製)3.7 g を酸化防止剤として添加した。得られた生成物は、25 ℃で 34,700 mPa.s の粘度を有していた。
ライニング処理をしていないスチール缶に、シラン 300 g を添加した。各樹脂 4 缶を 90 ℃のオーブンに入れた。各樹脂 1 缶を 1 週間毎に取り出し、粘度を測定した。以下の表は、試験期間における粘度変化を示す。
イン・サイチュー調製された STP を、以下の典型的な配合及び手順を用いてシーラントに調製した。
以下は、試験用の全ての STP を調製するために使用された標準的シーラント配合及び手順である。各配合成分に与えられる値は、総配合重量に対する重量%である。以下の工程では、配合成分を混合するために高速遠心ミキサーを使用した。各混合時間は、2200 rpm の速度で 1 分間であった。
接着促進剤。ビニルトリメトキシシラン(OSI Corporation 製 Silquest A-171)を、乾燥剤として使用した。Specialty Minerals Ultra P Flex 沈降炭酸カルシウム(0.07 ミクロンの平均粒径)を充填材として使用した。ジブチル錫ジラウレートを触媒として使用した。
シーラント組成物を、0.25 インチ厚のポリエチレン板上に流延し、試験前に、20 ℃、相対湿度 50 %の標準的条件で少なくとも 2 週間硬化させた。引張強さ、伸びパーセント及び 100 %引張モジュラスを、ASTM D-412 に従って測定した。ダイ「C」引裂強度を ASTM D-624 に従って測定した。結果を以下の表に示す。
Claims (8)
- a)i)成分 a)の重量に基づいて20〜100 重量%の、ポリエーテルセグメントが少なくとも 3,000 の数平均分子量を有し、ポリエーテルが0.04 ミリ当量/g 未満の不飽和度を有する、2 個のヒドロキシル基及び 1 個以上のポリエーテルセグメントを含むポリエーテル(ただし、1 分子あたりの全ポリエーテルセグメントの数平均分子量の平均が 6,000〜20,000 である。)及び
ii)成分 a)の重量に基づいて0〜80 重量%の、1 個のヒドロキシル基及び 1 個以上の 1,000〜15,000 の数平均分子量を有するポリエーテルセグメントを含むポリエーテル
を包含するヒドロキシル成分と、
b)i)成分 b)の重量に基づいて20〜100 重量%の、2 個のイソシアネート基を含む化合物及び
ii)成分 b)の重量に基づいて0〜80 重量%の、1 個のイソシアネート基を含む化合物
を包含するイソシアネート成分とを、1.5:1〜2.5:1 の NCO:OH 当量比で反応させて(ただし、a-ii)及び b-ii)の割合の合計は少なくとも 10 重量%である。)、イソシアネート含有反応生成物を形成し、
次いで、この反応生成物と、
c)成分 c)の少なくとも 10 mol%が、式(I):
Y は、1〜8 個の炭素原子を含む直鎖又は分枝アルキレン基を表し、
R1 及び R2 は、同じ又は異なって、100 ℃以下の温度でイソシアネート基に対して不活性である有機基を表し、
R3 及び R4 は、同じ又は異なって、水素又は 100 ℃以下の温度でイソシアネート基に対して不活性である有機基を表す。]
に相当する化合物である、イソシアネート反応性基及び 1 個の反応性シラン基を含む化合物とを、0.8:1〜1.1:1 のイソシアネート基対イソシアネート反応性基当量比で反応させて、

酸触媒及び熱の存在下で、中間ポリエーテルウレタンを反応させて非環状ウレア基を環状ウレア基へ転化させて、
式(III)及び/又は式(IV):
- 成分 c)の少なくとも 50 mol%が式(I)に相当する化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 成分 c)の少なくとも 80 mol%が式(I)に相当する化合物であり、X は 1〜4 個の炭素原子を含む同じ又は異なったアルコキシル基を表し、Y は、2〜4 個の炭素原子を含む直鎖アルキレン基又は 5〜6 個の炭素原子を含む分枝アルキレン基を表し、R1 及び R2 は同じ又は異なって 1〜4 個の炭素原子を含むアルキル基を表し、R3 及び R4 は水素を表すことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 成分 a-i)が成分 a)の重量に基づいて 20〜90 重量%の量で存在し、成分 a-ii)が成分 a)の重量に基づいて 10〜80 重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 成分 b-i)が成分 b)の重量に基づいて 20〜90 重量%の量で存在し、成分 b-ii)が成分 b)の重量に基づいて 10〜80 重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 成分 a-i)が成分 a)の重量に基づいて 30〜80 重量%の量で存在し、成分 a-ii)が成分 a)の重量に基づいて 20〜70 重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 成分 b-i)が成分 b)の重量に基づいて 30〜80 重量%の量で存在し、成分 b-ii)が成分 b)の重量に基づいて 20〜70 重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 成分 a-i)のポリエーテルセグメントが少なくとも 6,000 の数平均分子量を有し、成分 a-ii)のポリエーテルセグメントが 3,000〜12,000 の数平均分子量を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜4及び6のいずれかに記載の方法。
