Description
本発明のこの実施形態の更に別の形態によれば、符号分割多元接続(CDMA)技法を用いて、多数の通信装置、理想的には周囲照明によって給電を受ける通信装置の全てから受ける多数の変調信号を同時にデコードする。
逆変調は、先に説明したように、後方散乱通信の技術を利用する。従来の後方散乱通信では、通信リンクの一端が「タグ」で構成され、その反射特性における変化を制御しその変化に基づいて、リーダまで戻るリンクを形成する。従来の手法を用いると、リーダがエネルギをタグに発射し、この目的のためにエネルギを利用することができる。これと比較して、逆変調技法では、「タグ」は、この場合、変調された周囲エネルギを別の通信装置に反射するように構成されている。変調された周囲エネルギとは、共通のラジオまたはTV局の信号、セル・ホーンの信号、またはタグに入射するあらゆるRFエネルギとすることができる。
Claims (11)
- 周囲放射線を受けるように構成された第1アンテナと、周囲放射線を受けるように構成された第2アンテナと、前記第1アンテナおよび前記第2アンテナからのそれぞれの出力を供給される第1入力および第2入力を有するミキサと、前記ミキサに結合され、前記ミキサにおける前記第2アンテナからの出力を、比較および変調信号の抽出のため、前記第1アンテナからの出力に対して遅延させるように構成された遅延回路とを有する受動受信機を備えた、通信装置。
- 請求項1記載の装置において、前記第1アンテナは第1偏波を有し、前記第2アンテナは第2偏波を有する、装置。
- 請求項1記載の装置において、前記第2アンテナは、前記周囲放射線における変調信号の検出を増強するために、方向選択性を有するように構成されている、装置。
- 全スペクトル受動通信システムであって、
広帯域アンテナに結合され、周囲放射線を受け、それに応答して変調信号を反射するように構成された受動変調回路を備えた、第1受動通信装置と、
周囲放射線を受けるように構成された第1アンテナ回路と、周囲放射線を受けるように構成された第2アンテナ回路とに結合された検出回路を備えた第2受動通信装置であって、前記検出回路が、前記第1アンテナ回路および前記第2アンテナ回路に結合されたミキサと、前記ミキサと前記第2アンテナ回路との間に結合された遅延回路とを備えており、前記検出回路が、前記第1アンテナ回路および前記第2アンテナ回路において受けた信号を比較して、前記変調信号を抽出するように構成されている、第2受動通信装置と、
を備えた、全スペクトル受動通信システム。 - 請求項4記載のシステムにおいて、前記第1アンテナ回路および前記第2アンテナ回路は、逆の偏波を有するように偏波している、システム。
- 請求項4記載のシステムにおいて、前記第1受動通信装置の前記広帯域アンテナは、前記第2受動通信装置の前記第1アンテナ回路および前記第2アンテナ回路の一方の偏波と一致するように偏波している、システム。
- 請求項4記載のシステムにおいて、前記第2アンテナ回路は、前記変調信号の受信および検出を増強するために方向選択性を有する、システム。
- 請求項4記載のシステムにおいて、前記第1アンテナ回路および前記第2アンテナ回路は、方向選択性を有するように構成されている、システム。
- 請求項4記載のシステムにおいて、前記第2受動通信装置の前記第1アンテナ回路および前記第2アンテナ回路は偏波しており、前記第1アンテナ回路は、前記第2アンテナ回路の偏波とは逆の偏波を有し、前記第1受動通信装置の前記広帯域アンテナは、前記第2受動通信装置の前記第2アンテナ回路の偏波を有する、システム。
- 請求項4記載のシステムにおいて、前記第2受動通信装置は、CDMAを使用して、前記検出回路において受ける複数の変調信号を同時にデコードするように構成されている、システム。
- 通信方法であって、
広帯域アンテナ回路を有する第1受動装置において周囲放射線を受け、受けた周囲放射線からのエネルギを利用して、変調信号を反射するステップと、
第2受動装置において、第1アンテナで前記周囲放射線を受け、第2アンテナで前記変調信号を受け、前記第2アンテナにおける前記変調信号を、前記第1アンテナからの出力に対して遅延させ、前記受けた周囲放射線からのエネルギを使用して、前記変調信号をそこから抽出するステップと、
前記第2受動装置から前記第1受動装置への後方散乱送信のため、前記周囲放射線から受けたエネルギを使用して、更に別の変調信号をそこから発生するステップと、
を備えた、方法。
