【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、メダルや球などの遊技媒体を使って遊技する遊技機に関する。

【従来の技術】
遊技機には、メダルや球を遊技媒体とするスロットマシンや、球(パチンコ球)を遊技媒体とするパチンコ機がある。これらの遊技機は、外枠の前面に開閉可能な状態に前面カバーを取り付けた構造になっている。前記外枠は、一般的なパチンコ機では四角い枠状になっている場合が多いものの、一部のパチンコ機(例えば、パチンコ球を機内で循環させる封入式のもの)やスロットマシンでは、天板と底板と左右の側板及び背板で囲われた箱状(筐体)になっている。

ところで遊技機は、遊技場に設置した遊技機設置島に横並びの状態に組み込まれ、その遊技機設置島に対して電源ケーブルや外部出力ハーネスなどの配線で電気的に接続されている。そのため箱状の外枠を有する従来の遊技機は、背板の中央より下側に配線挿通口(図3符号H参照)を穿設し、そこから外部に配線を引き出して遊技機設置島の配線接続部に接続するようにしていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
一般に箱状の外枠の内部は、個別に回転可能な3個のリールを主要構成要素とする図柄変動装置や電源装置などの装置類で占められており、従って、外枠の正面から前記配線挿通口Hに手を通して配線を接続する、という作業は行えない。また、遊技機設置島の遊技機の裏側には人が入るだけのスペースがないため、設置完了後に遊技機の裏に回って配線挿通口Hから配線を引き出す、という作業も行えない。よって遊技機の設置作業は、遊技機の裏側から事前に配線を引き出し、その配線の接続を先に済ませてから遊技機設置島に組み込む、という手順で行われていたが、そのような作業には次のような解決すべき課題が存在していた。
(a)遊技機を遊技機設置島に組み込むに際し、遊技機と遊技機設置島の間に配線が噛まないよう注意する必要があるため作業効率が悪い。特に、遊技機設置島の前に置いた設置前の遊技機と遊技機設置島の配線接続部とを接続するためには長い配線が必要になるため、配線の絡みによる作業性の悪化も加わる。しかも如何に注意を払っても遊技機と遊技機設置島の間に配線が噛み込むトラブルは不可抗力的に発生するから、配線が損傷し断線する危険性もある。
(b)遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後に配線変更等の必要が生じた場合、遊技機設置島から遊技機を一々引き出さなければならない煩わしさがある。
(c)遊技機を1台設置する度に配線作業をする必要があり、作業の流れが悪く能率が上がらない。

本発明は上記に鑑みなされたもので、その目的は、箱状の外枠を有しながら遊技機設置島との配線が容易な遊技機を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するため本発明は、天板、底板、左右の側板、背板で囲った箱状に形成されて内部に図柄変動装置や電源装置等の装置類を収納設置した外枠と、
その外枠の前面に横開き形態の開閉可能に装着され前側各部位に遊技操作用装置機器としての遊技媒体の投入口及び投入ボタン、返却ボタン、始動レバー、図柄停止ボタンを配置した前面カバーと、を有し、
遊技場の遊技機設置島に設置された状態で遊技に供される遊技機において、
前記遊技機設置島に設置された状態で該遊技機設置島の上部幕板より奥に位置する領域であって前記天板の後部又は背板の上部又は天板と背板の境界部の何れかの部位に開口形成されて外枠の上部内を開通状態に開口し得る配線挿通口と、
前記配線挿通口に整合し得る形状に形成されて前記配線挿通口の一側縁に回動開放可能に装着された蓋部材と、
前記外枠の上部内で前記配線挿通口に対向取着されて該配線挿通口を覆蓋保護し得るボックスと、を備え、
前記蓋部材の自由側端部には、先端にプラグ又はコネクターを有する配線を挿通して外枠の後側に引出す先割れ状の開口が形成される一方、
前記ボックスの前板部には、前記配線のプラグ又はコネクターを挿通し得る通孔と、該通孔に前記配線の径より狭い幅狭口を介して連設される配線用のホルダー孔が貫通状に開口形成されていることを特徴とする遊技機を提供する。

遊技機設置島の上部幕板は、遊技機設置島の内部を隠すために遊技機の天板の直上に設けられている。一方、本発明の遊技機は、上部幕板より奥に位置する領域であって前記天板の後部又は背板の上部又は天板と背板の境界部の何れかの部位に配線挿通口を設けたから、上部幕板越しに手が届く。従って、遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後、上部幕板越しに配線挿通口から配線を引き出し又は配線挿通口に配線を引き入れて新規の接続や継ぎ替えが行える。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に本発明の実施の形態を遊技機たるスロットマシンを例示して説明する。なお、図1はスロットマシンの斜視図、図2は設置状態を示すスロットマシンの側面図、図3は配線挿通口の他の配置例を示すスロットマシン背面の斜視図である。

スロットマシン1は、前面が開口する箱状の外枠2と、その外枠2の前面に片開きのドア状に回動可能に取り付けた前面カバー3を有する。前記外枠2は木製であって、天板2aと底板2bと左右の側板2c,2c及び背板2dで囲われた箱状(筐体)であり、その外枠2の内部に図1に示したように、個別に回転可能な3個のリール4a,4b,4cを主要構成要素とする図柄変動装置4や、電源装置5などの装置類が収められている。

一方、前面カバー3は合成樹脂製であって、表側の下方にメダル貯留用の受皿6を有し、また、表側のほぼ中央に操作部を有する。この操作部には、メダル投入用の投入口7と、制御装置8(図10参照)のメモリーにデータとして蓄えられているメダルから1枚のみの投入を指示する1枚投入ボタン9と、同じく2枚のみの投入を指示する2枚投入ボタン10と、同じく1回のゲームで使用可能な最高枚数(例えば3枚)の投入を指示するMAX投入ボタン11と、投入口7の裏側にあるメダルセレクタ12(図10参照)に詰まったメダルを受皿6に戻すためのメダル返却ボタン13と、前記制御装置8のメモリーにデータとして蓄えられているメダルの貯留解除命令(精算による放出命令)を入力するための貯留解除スイッチ14と、図柄変動装置4を作動させる始動レバー15と、図柄変動装置4の各リール4a,4b,4cを停止させる3個のリール停止ボタン16a,16b,16cと、遊技方法や装飾的な模様を記載した固定表示部17などを有する。

上記構成よりなるスロットマシン1は、複数台を横並びにして図2に示したように遊技機設置島18に組み込まれる。遊技機設置島18には外枠2の天板2aの上に位置するようにして上部幕板19が設けられている。また、遊技機設置島18の内部にはスロットマシン1の電源ケーブルや外部出力ハーネスなどの配線20を接続するための配線接続部21が設けられている。

しかして本発明のスロットマシン1は、遊技機設置島18の上部幕板19より奥に位置する領域であって前記天板2aの後部又は背板2dの上部又は天板2aと背板2dの境界部の何れかの部位に、スロットマシン1と遊技機設置島18とを電気的に接続する配線20のための配線挿通口22を設けたことを要旨とする。以下に配線挿通口22の具体的な態様を詳細に説明する。

図1,図2に示したスロットマシン1は、天板2aの後端部両横に配線挿通口22を設けたものである。図示した配線挿通口22は単純な四角い貫通孔であるが、少なくとも配線20の先端にあるプラグ23やコネクター24(図7参照)が通るだけの広さがあればどのような形状であってもよい。また、配線挿通口22の配置は、図1,図2に示した天板2aの後端部両横の他、図3に示したように背板2dの上端部や天板2aと背板2dの境界部(後上角)にしてもよい。なお、本発明において天板2aの後部とは上部幕板19より奥の全ての部分を指し、また、背板2dの上部とは、大人の作業者が上部幕板19越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲を指すものとし、これら範囲内であれば配線挿通口22の配置や数は自由である。もちろん背板2dの上端部は問題なくその範囲に含まれる。

一方、遊技機設置島18の配線接続部21は図2に示したようにスロットマシン1の天板2aに近いレベルかそれ以上の高さの場所に設けられており、大人の作業者が上部幕板19越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲にあればよい。もっとも配線接続部21は、それ自体が低所にあっても延長線等を使って前記したレベルに接続口が設けてあればそれでもよい。この場合は、接続口が実質的な配線接続部21である。

次に上記のスロットマシン1を遊技機設置島18に設置する方法について説明する。先ず、スロットマシン1の外枠2の内面であって配線挿通口22の外から手を差し入れて取り出し可能な位置に配線20の一部を粘着テープなどで仮止めしておく。この状態ではスロットマシン1の外部に配線20が出ていないため、配線20の絡みや断線を気にすることなくスロットマシン1を遊技機設置島18に能率良く設置することができる。そして、スロットマシン1を所定の位置に固定した後、作業者がスロットマシン1の正面に立ち上部幕板19越しに遊技機設置島18の中に手を入れて外枠2の配線挿通口22に指を入れ、先に仮止めしておいた配線20を引き出す。このとき必要なら作業者は適当な踏み台を使ってもよい。最後に配線20の先にあるプラグ23を遊技機設置島18の配線接続部21に接続する。

ここまでで説明したスロットマシン1の構成は、本発明を実施する上で最低限のものであり、その構成をベースにしてさらに以下の構成要素を付加することにより使い勝手のさらなる向上が可能である。

第一に、上記スロットマシン1は、配線20を粘着テープなどで仮止めするようにしたが、そのような手段では、仮止め解除後に誤って配線20から手が外れた場合に外枠2内の手の届かない位置に配線20が落下するおそれがある。
このような課題に対しては、図5に示したような配線ホルダー25を配線挿通口22の近傍、すなわち配線挿通口22の外側から手で配線20が摘み出せる位置に設置する手段が有効である。
前記配線ホルダー25は、配線20のプラグ23やコネクター24(以下特に必要な場合を除きプラグやコネクター等を総称して単に「プラグ」という。)が通過できない大きさであり且つ配線20の移動を妨げない形状であればよい。このような配線ホルダー25があれば、誤って配線20を落下させてもプラグ23が配線ホルダー25に当たって所定の位置に止まるから安心して作業が行える。

第二に、前記スロットマシン1は、配線挿通口22が外部に開放されているため、配線挿通口22から埃や異物が侵入するおそれがある。
このような課題に対しては、図4に示したような開閉自在な蓋部材26を配線挿通口22に設ける手段が有効である。
前記蓋部材26は、配線挿通口22の上端に形成した段部22a内に沈み込ませるようにして取り付けられており、その上面が天板2aとほぼ面一か又はそれ以下になるようにしてある。蓋部材26は一方の長辺の両端に回動軸26aが突設してあり、この回動軸26aを中心に揺動し得る。また、蓋部材26は配線20用の開口26bを有し、閉じた状態でその開口26bに配線20が入るようにしてある。蓋部材26の開口26bは、配線20のプラグ23が通らない形状に設定してあり、前記した配線ホルダー25と同じく配線20の外枠2内への落下が防止できる。よって、このような開口26bを設けた蓋部材26は配線ホルダー25としての機能をも兼ねる。もちろん図5のように開口26b付きの蓋部材26と配線ホルダー25の併用は自由であり、この場合の配線ホルダー25の役割は、主として引き出し前の配線20の保持と、蓋部材26を開いたときのバックアップである。

第三に、配線挿通口22を設けたことによる埃又は異物の侵入対策として、図6に示したように、配線挿通口22の裏側に配線20収納用のボックス27を設ける手段も有効である。
このボックス27には配線20のプラグ23が通過可能な通孔27aが設けられていて、その通孔27aからボックス27内に配線20を通す。一方、通孔27aには、配線20は通してもプラグ23は通さない形状のホルダー孔27bが幅狭口27cを介して連設されており、通孔27aにある配線20を幅狭口27cに押し付けてホルダー孔27bに無理矢理嵌め入れれば、配線20がボックス27から抜け落ちない。ボックス27は単独でも埃や異物の侵入を防止する効果があるが、図示したように蓋部材26を併用することで埃や異物の侵入防止効果を高めることができる。また、蓋部材26を設けることにより、ボックス27内に収納した配線20が輸送途中に飛び出すというおそれもなくなる。従って、ボックス27と蓋部材26の併用は有効である。
なお、配線挿通口22の裏側にボックス27を設けたことにより、人為的な異物の挿入も阻止できるから、そのような異物による不正行為にも優れた効果を発揮する。また、図7に示したように蓋部材26に専用の鍵で開閉する錠装置28を設けるようにすれば、異物による不正行為をさらに強力に阻止することができる。

第四に、前記スロットマシン1は、プラグ23付きの配線20を外枠2の中から外部に引き出すようにしたが、図7に示したように配線挿通口22の下にコネクター29を配置し、一方、遊技機設置島18の配線接続部21からコネクター24付きの配線20を引き出し、その配線20のコネクター24をスロットマシン1の配線挿通口22に入れて前記コネクター29に差し込むようにしてもよい。なお、コネクター29は、図7のように棚板状の受け台30に取り付ける場合の他、図6のようにボックス27を設けてその内部に取り付けるようにしてもよい。

次に、上記の諸要素を取り入れた本発明の実施に好ましい縁カバー31を図8に示す。この縁カバー31は、配線挿通口22の内壁に合致する筒状のスリーブ31aと、そのスリーブ31aの上端外周に突設した額縁状の外フランジ31bと、その外フランジ31bの一辺にV溝状のヒンジ部31cを介して連設した蓋部材26と、前記スリーブ31aの対向する二つの側板に形成した弾性的なアンカー片31d,31dと、スリーブ31aの他の一つの側板を下向きに拡張して形成した配線ホルダー25と、外フランジ31bと蓋部材26に設けた蓋ロック手段31e(例えば、外フランジ31bに突設した有頭ピンと、蓋部材26に開設したピン受孔の組み合わせ)とを有する。前記配線ホルダー25は、スリーブ31aの側板にプラグ23(配線20頂部)のシルエットを一回り大きくした形状の切り抜き31fを形成し、その切り抜き31fの配線相当首部31gから横向きにU字台31hを突設したものであり、このU字台31hでプラグ23を受け支える。

前記縁カバー31は合成樹脂製であって、図8のように蓋部材26を展開した形態で一体成型し、同図二点鎖線のように成型後にヒンジ部31cを曲げて折り癖を付ければ出来上がる。そして、縁カバー31のスリーブ31aを外枠2の配線挿通口22に外側から入れて強く押し込むと、アンカー片31dが配線挿通口22の内壁に擦れて弾性変形しながら降下し、最終的にアンカー片31dの先の爪31iが配線挿通口22の縁に係合してその位置で安定する。このように縁カバー31は、配線挿通口22への取り付けがワンタッチで行え、また、合成樹脂の一体成型により蓋部材26や配線ホルダー25などの上記各要素が同時成型できるため低コストである。なお、上記した各要素は、蓋部材26と配線ホルダー25、蓋部材26とボックス27というように複数を適宜組み合わせたり、或いは配線ホルダー25のみ、ボックス27のみ、のような単独での使用が考えられる。

以上本発明を実施の形態について説明したが、もちろん本発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。例えば、実施形態(後述する解決手段1,2も同じ)ではスロットマシン1を例示して説明したが、箱状の外枠2を有するそれ以外の遊技機にも適用可能である。
また、実施形態では配線挿通口22を天板2aに設けた例について詳しく説明したが、もちろんその説明は背板2d又は天板2aと背板2dの境界部に配線挿通口22を設けた場合にも当て嵌まる。
また、実施形態の蓋部材26は、回動軸26aによる回動構造を例示したが、摺動自在なスライド構造にしたり、或いはキャップ状に取り外し得る着脱自在構造にしてもよい。
また、実施形態では上部幕板19を固定的なものにしたが、それを開閉自在にしたり或いは着脱自在にすることによりさらなる作業性の向上が可能である。

本発明の遊技機は、遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後、上部幕板越しに必要な配線の接続が行えるため、遊技機の設置作業と配線作業を別々にして作業能率の向上を図ることが可能であり、また、遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後に配線変更が生じた場合でも遊技機設置島から遊技機を一々引き出さなければならない煩わしさがない。また、遊技機設置島と遊技機の間に配線が噛み込むおそれが一切無いため、遊技機を遊技機設置島に組み込む作業の作業性が向上し、また、前記噛み込みによる配線の断線事故が起こり得ない、などの効果を発揮する。

【上記以外の解決手段1】
上記した従来技術に存する課題を上記以外の方法によって解決する手段について、図9、図10により説明する。先ず、図9に示したように背板2dの上部(大人の作業者が上部幕板19越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲)に図5に示したような配線ホルダー25を取り付け、背板2dの自由な位置に穿設した配線挿通口32から外枠2の裏側に引き出した配線20を配線ホルダー25に通してプラグ23を止めておく。このとき好ましくはプラグ23の上端が天板2aより高く突出しないように配線ホルダー25の位置を設定するとよい。

図10に示したように前面カバー3を上半体33aと下半体33bに分割し、上半体33aに外枠2の上半分に設けられる装置類(図柄変動装置4や制御装置8など)を設置してユニット化し、外枠2に対して上半体33aを着脱自在に形成する。
また、外枠2には前面カバー3の上半体33aと下半体33bに対応させて仕切板34を形成し、さらに上半体33aのユニットを外した状態で外部に晒される部分の背板2dに配線操作用の窓穴35を開設すると共にその窓穴35の近傍に配線20の先を位置させておく。図示した実施形態では前記図5に示した配線ホルダー25をそのまま利用しているが、配線20の掴み損ねを考慮する必要がないことから粘着テープなどによる仮止め手段を採用するか、或いは配線20の先を仕切板34の上の奥に置いておく程度でもよい。
一方、遊技機設置島18の配線接続部21は前記窓穴35に対応する位置に配設されており、窓穴35から触れられる範囲にある。

このスロットマシン1は、上半体33aを外した状態のまま遊技機設置島18に組み込んで固定し、この状態で外部に晒されている窓穴35の奥に遊技機設置島18の配線接続部21が臨んでいるから、恰も配線接続部21がスロットマシン1の一部であるかのような感覚で遊技機設置島18との接続が簡単に行える。そして、接続完了後に前面カバー3の上半体33aを外枠2に組み付ければスロットマシン1の設置と配線が全て完了する。また、設置後の配線変更の作業も前面カバー3の上半体33aをユニットとして着脱するだけで簡単に行える。なお、窓穴35からの埃や異物の侵入を防止するため、窓穴35に対して前記したような蓋部材を背板2dに取り付けるか、或いは上半体33aのユニット後面に蓋部材を取り付けて、ユニットの装着により窓穴35が自動的に塞がるようにしてもよい。

(a)前面カバー3を上半体33aと下半体33bに分割し、その上半体33a又は下半体33bに装置類を装着してユニット化する。
(b)外枠2に対し上半体33a又は下半体33bのユニットを着脱自在に形成する。
(c)上半体33a又は下半体33bのユニットを外した状態で外部に晒される部分の背板2dに遊技機設置島18の配線接続部21に対応する窓穴35を開設する。
