【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、メダルや球などの遊技媒体を使って遊技する遊技機に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】
遊技機には、メダルや球を遊技媒体とするスロットマシンや、球（パチンコ球）を遊技媒体とするパチンコ機がある。これらの遊技機は、外枠の前面に開閉可能な状態に前面カバーを取り付けた構造になっている。前記外枠は、一般的なパチンコ機では四角い枠状になっている場合が多いものの、一部のパチンコ機（例えば、パチンコ球を機内で循環させる封入式のもの）やスロットマシンでは、天板と底板と左右の側板及び背板で囲われた箱状（筐体）になっている。

ところで遊技機は、遊技場に設置した遊技機設置島に横並びの状態に組み込まれ、その遊技機設置島に対して電源ケーブルや外部出力ハーネスなどの配線で電気的に接続されている。そのため箱状の外枠を有する従来の遊技機は、背板の中央より下側に配線挿通口（図３符号Ｈ参照）を穿設し、そこから外部に配線を引き出して遊技機設置島の配線接続部に接続するようにしていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
一般に箱状の外枠の内部は、個別に回転可能な３個のリールを主要構成要素とする図柄変動装置や電源装置などの装置類で占められており、従って、外枠の正面から前記配線挿通口Ｈに手を通して配線を接続する、という作業は行えない。また、遊技機設置島の遊技機の裏側には人が入るだけのスペースがないため、設置完了後に遊技機の裏に回って配線挿通口Ｈから配線を引き出す、という作業も行えない。よって遊技機の設置作業は、遊技機の裏側から事前に配線を引き出し、その配線の接続を先に済ませてから遊技機設置島に組み込む、という手順で行われていたが、そのような作業には次のような解決すべき課題が存在していた。
（ａ）遊技機を遊技機設置島に組み込むに際し、遊技機と遊技機設置島の間に配線が噛まないよう注意する必要があるため作業効率が悪い。特に、遊技機設置島の前に置いた設置前の遊技機と遊技機設置島の配線接続部とを接続するためには長い配線が必要になるため、配線の絡みによる作業性の悪化も加わる。しかも如何に注意を払っても遊技機と遊技機設置島の間に配線が噛み込むトラブルは不可抗力的に発生するから、配線が損傷し断線する危険性もある。
（ｂ）遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後に配線変更等の必要が生じた場合、遊技機設置島から遊技機を一々引き出さなければならない煩わしさがある。
（ｃ）遊技機を１台設置する度に配線作業をする必要があり、作業の流れが悪く能率が上がらない。

本発明は上記に鑑みなされたもので、その目的は、箱状の外枠を有しながら遊技機設置島との配線が容易な遊技機を提供することにある。
【０００６】
【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するため本発明は、天板、底板、左右の側板、背板で囲った箱状に形成されて内部に図柄変動装置や電源装置等の装置類を収納設置した外枠と、
その外枠の前面に横開き形態の開閉可能に装着され前側各部位に遊技操作用装置機器としての遊技媒体の投入口及び投入ボタン、返却ボタン、始動レバー、図柄停止ボタンを配置した前面カバーと、を有し、
遊技場の遊技機設置島に設置された状態で遊技に供される遊技機において、
前記遊技機設置島に設置された状態で該遊技機設置島の上部幕板より奥に位置する領域であって前記天板の後部又は背板の上部又は天板と背板の境界部の何れかの部位に開口形成されて外枠の上部内を開通状態に開口し得る配線挿通口と、
前記配線挿通口に整合し得る形状に形成されて前記配線挿通口の一側縁に回動開放可能に装着された蓋部材と、
前記外枠の上部内で前記配線挿通口に対向取着されて該配線挿通口を覆蓋保護し得るボックスと、を備え、
前記蓋部材の自由側端部には、先端にプラグ又はコネクターを有する配線を挿通して外枠の後側に引出す先割れ状の開口が形成される一方、
前記ボックスの前板部には、前記配線のプラグ又はコネクターを挿通し得る通孔と、該通孔に前記配線の径より狭い幅狭口を介して連設される配線用のホルダー孔が貫通状に開口形成されていることを特徴とする遊技機を提供する。

遊技機設置島の上部幕板は、遊技機設置島の内部を隠すために遊技機の天板の直上に設けられている。一方、本発明の遊技機は、上部幕板より奥に位置する領域であって前記天板の後部又は背板の上部又は天板と背板の境界部の何れかの部位に配線挿通口を設けたから、上部幕板越しに手が届く。従って、遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後、上部幕板越しに配線挿通口から配線を引き出し又は配線挿通口に配線を引き入れて新規の接続や継ぎ替えが行える。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に本発明の実施の形態を遊技機たるスロットマシンを例示して説明する。なお、図１はスロットマシンの斜視図、図２は設置状態を示すスロットマシンの側面図、図３は配線挿通口の他の配置例を示すスロットマシン背面の斜視図である。

スロットマシン１は、前面が開口する箱状の外枠２と、その外枠２の前面に片開きのドア状に回動可能に取り付けた前面カバー３を有する。前記外枠２は木製であって、天板２ａと底板２ｂと左右の側板２ｃ，２ｃ及び背板２ｄで囲われた箱状（筐体）であり、その外枠２の内部に図１に示したように、個別に回転可能な３個のリール４ａ，４ｂ，４ｃを主要構成要素とする図柄変動装置４や、電源装置５などの装置類が収められている。

一方、前面カバー３は合成樹脂製であって、表側の下方にメダル貯留用の受皿６を有し、また、表側のほぼ中央に操作部を有する。この操作部には、メダル投入用の投入口７と、制御装置８（図１０参照）のメモリーにデータとして蓄えられているメダルから１枚のみの投入を指示する１枚投入ボタン９と、同じく２枚のみの投入を指示する２枚投入ボタン１０と、同じく１回のゲームで使用可能な最高枚数（例えば３枚）の投入を指示するＭＡＸ投入ボタン１１と、投入口７の裏側にあるメダルセレクタ１２（図１０参照）に詰まったメダルを受皿６に戻すためのメダル返却ボタン１３と、前記制御装置８のメモリーにデータとして蓄えられているメダルの貯留解除命令（精算による放出命令）を入力するための貯留解除スイッチ１４と、図柄変動装置４を作動させる始動レバー１５と、図柄変動装置４の各リール４ａ，４ｂ，４ｃを停止させる３個のリール停止ボタン１６ａ，１６ｂ，１６ｃと、遊技方法や装飾的な模様を記載した固定表示部１７などを有する。

上記構成よりなるスロットマシン１は、複数台を横並びにして図２に示したように遊技機設置島１８に組み込まれる。遊技機設置島１８には外枠２の天板２ａの上に位置するようにして上部幕板１９が設けられている。また、遊技機設置島１８の内部にはスロットマシン１の電源ケーブルや外部出力ハーネスなどの配線２０を接続するための配線接続部２１が設けられている。

しかして本発明のスロットマシン１は、遊技機設置島１８の上部幕板１９より奥に位置する領域であって前記天板２ａの後部又は背板２ｄの上部又は天板２ａと背板２ｄの境界部の何れかの部位に、スロットマシン１と遊技機設置島１８とを電気的に接続する配線２０のための配線挿通口２２を設けたことを要旨とする。以下に配線挿通口２２の具体的な態様を詳細に説明する。

図１，図２に示したスロットマシン１は、天板２ａの後端部両横に配線挿通口２２を設けたものである。図示した配線挿通口２２は単純な四角い貫通孔であるが、少なくとも配線２０の先端にあるプラグ２３やコネクター２４（図７参照）が通るだけの広さがあればどのような形状であってもよい。また、配線挿通口２２の配置は、図１，図２に示した天板２ａの後端部両横の他、図３に示したように背板２ｄの上端部や天板２ａと背板２ｄの境界部（後上角）にしてもよい。なお、本発明において天板２ａの後部とは上部幕板１９より奥の全ての部分を指し、また、背板２ｄの上部とは、大人の作業者が上部幕板１９越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲を指すものとし、これら範囲内であれば配線挿通口２２の配置や数は自由である。もちろん背板２ｄの上端部は問題なくその範囲に含まれる。

一方、遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１は図２に示したようにスロットマシン１の天板２ａに近いレベルかそれ以上の高さの場所に設けられており、大人の作業者が上部幕板１９越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲にあればよい。もっとも配線接続部２１は、それ自体が低所にあっても延長線等を使って前記したレベルに接続口が設けてあればそれでもよい。この場合は、接続口が実質的な配線接続部２１である。

次に上記のスロットマシン１を遊技機設置島１８に設置する方法について説明する。先ず、スロットマシン１の外枠２の内面であって配線挿通口２２の外から手を差し入れて取り出し可能な位置に配線２０の一部を粘着テープなどで仮止めしておく。この状態ではスロットマシン１の外部に配線２０が出ていないため、配線２０の絡みや断線を気にすることなくスロットマシン１を遊技機設置島１８に能率良く設置することができる。そして、スロットマシン１を所定の位置に固定した後、作業者がスロットマシン１の正面に立ち上部幕板１９越しに遊技機設置島１８の中に手を入れて外枠２の配線挿通口２２に指を入れ、先に仮止めしておいた配線２０を引き出す。このとき必要なら作業者は適当な踏み台を使ってもよい。最後に配線２０の先にあるプラグ２３を遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１に接続する。

ここまでで説明したスロットマシン１の構成は、本発明を実施する上で最低限のものであり、その構成をベースにしてさらに以下の構成要素を付加することにより使い勝手のさらなる向上が可能である。
【００１７】
第一に、上記スロットマシン１は、配線２０を粘着テープなどで仮止めするようにしたが、そのような手段では、仮止め解除後に誤って配線２０から手が外れた場合に外枠２内の手の届かない位置に配線２０が落下するおそれがある。
このような課題に対しては、図５に示したような配線ホルダー２５を配線挿通口２２の近傍、すなわち配線挿通口２２の外側から手で配線２０が摘み出せる位置に設置する手段が有効である。
前記配線ホルダー２５は、配線２０のプラグ２３やコネクター２４（以下特に必要な場合を除きプラグやコネクター等を総称して単に「プラグ」という。）が通過できない大きさであり且つ配線２０の移動を妨げない形状であればよい。このような配線ホルダー２５があれば、誤って配線２０を落下させてもプラグ２３が配線ホルダー２５に当たって所定の位置に止まるから安心して作業が行える。

第二に、前記スロットマシン１は、配線挿通口２２が外部に開放されているため、配線挿通口２２から埃や異物が侵入するおそれがある。
このような課題に対しては、図４に示したような開閉自在な蓋部材２６を配線挿通口２２に設ける手段が有効である。
前記蓋部材２６は、配線挿通口２２の上端に形成した段部２２ａ内に沈み込ませるようにして取り付けられており、その上面が天板２ａとほぼ面一か又はそれ以下になるようにしてある。蓋部材２６は一方の長辺の両端に回動軸２６ａが突設してあり、この回動軸２６ａを中心に揺動し得る。また、蓋部材２６は配線２０用の開口２６ｂを有し、閉じた状態でその開口２６ｂに配線２０が入るようにしてある。蓋部材２６の開口２６ｂは、配線２０のプラグ２３が通らない形状に設定してあり、前記した配線ホルダー２５と同じく配線２０の外枠２内への落下が防止できる。よって、このような開口２６ｂを設けた蓋部材２６は配線ホルダー２５としての機能をも兼ねる。もちろん図５のように開口２６ｂ付きの蓋部材２６と配線ホルダー２５の併用は自由であり、この場合の配線ホルダー２５の役割は、主として引き出し前の配線２０の保持と、蓋部材２６を開いたときのバックアップである。

第三に、配線挿通口２２を設けたことによる埃又は異物の侵入対策として、図６に示したように、配線挿通口２２の裏側に配線２０収納用のボックス２７を設ける手段も有効である。
このボックス２７には配線２０のプラグ２３が通過可能な通孔２７ａが設けられていて、その通孔２７ａからボックス２７内に配線２０を通す。一方、通孔２７ａには、配線２０は通してもプラグ２３は通さない形状のホルダー孔２７ｂが幅狭口２７ｃを介して連設されており、通孔２７ａにある配線２０を幅狭口２７ｃに押し付けてホルダー孔２７ｂに無理矢理嵌め入れれば、配線２０がボックス２７から抜け落ちない。ボックス２７は単独でも埃や異物の侵入を防止する効果があるが、図示したように蓋部材２６を併用することで埃や異物の侵入防止効果を高めることができる。また、蓋部材２６を設けることにより、ボックス２７内に収納した配線２０が輸送途中に飛び出すというおそれもなくなる。従って、ボックス２７と蓋部材２６の併用は有効である。
なお、配線挿通口２２の裏側にボックス２７を設けたことにより、人為的な異物の挿入も阻止できるから、そのような異物による不正行為にも優れた効果を発揮する。また、図７に示したように蓋部材２６に専用の鍵で開閉する錠装置２８を設けるようにすれば、異物による不正行為をさらに強力に阻止することができる。

第四に、前記スロットマシン１は、プラグ２３付きの配線２０を外枠２の中から外部に引き出すようにしたが、図７に示したように配線挿通口２２の下にコネクター２９を配置し、一方、遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１からコネクター２４付きの配線２０を引き出し、その配線２０のコネクター２４をスロットマシン１の配線挿通口２２に入れて前記コネクター２９に差し込むようにしてもよい。なお、コネクター２９は、図７のように棚板状の受け台３０に取り付ける場合の他、図６のようにボックス２７を設けてその内部に取り付けるようにしてもよい。

次に、上記の諸要素を取り入れた本発明の実施に好ましい縁カバー３１を図８に示す。この縁カバー３１は、配線挿通口２２の内壁に合致する筒状のスリーブ３１ａと、そのスリーブ３１ａの上端外周に突設した額縁状の外フランジ３１ｂと、その外フランジ３１ｂの一辺にＶ溝状のヒンジ部３１ｃを介して連設した蓋部材２６と、前記スリーブ３１ａの対向する二つの側板に形成した弾性的なアンカー片３１ｄ，３１ｄと、スリーブ３１ａの他の一つの側板を下向きに拡張して形成した配線ホルダー２５と、外フランジ３１ｂと蓋部材２６に設けた蓋ロック手段３１ｅ（例えば、外フランジ３１ｂに突設した有頭ピンと、蓋部材２６に開設したピン受孔の組み合わせ）とを有する。前記配線ホルダー２５は、スリーブ３１ａの側板にプラグ２３（配線２０頂部）のシルエットを一回り大きくした形状の切り抜き３１ｆを形成し、その切り抜き３１ｆの配線相当首部３１ｇから横向きにＵ字台３１ｈを突設したものであり、このＵ字台３１ｈでプラグ２３を受け支える。

前記縁カバー３１は合成樹脂製であって、図８のように蓋部材２６を展開した形態で一体成型し、同図二点鎖線のように成型後にヒンジ部３１ｃを曲げて折り癖を付ければ出来上がる。そして、縁カバー３１のスリーブ３１ａを外枠２の配線挿通口２２に外側から入れて強く押し込むと、アンカー片３１ｄが配線挿通口２２の内壁に擦れて弾性変形しながら降下し、最終的にアンカー片３１ｄの先の爪３１ｉが配線挿通口２２の縁に係合してその位置で安定する。このように縁カバー３１は、配線挿通口２２への取り付けがワンタッチで行え、また、合成樹脂の一体成型により蓋部材２６や配線ホルダー２５などの上記各要素が同時成型できるため低コストである。なお、上記した各要素は、蓋部材２６と配線ホルダー２５、蓋部材２６とボックス２７というように複数を適宜組み合わせたり、或いは配線ホルダー２５のみ、ボックス２７のみ、のような単独での使用が考えられる。

以上本発明を実施の形態について説明したが、もちろん本発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。例えば、実施形態（後述する解決手段１，２も同じ）ではスロットマシン１を例示して説明したが、箱状の外枠２を有するそれ以外の遊技機にも適用可能である。
また、実施形態では配線挿通口２２を天板２ａに設けた例について詳しく説明したが、もちろんその説明は背板２ｄ又は天板２ａと背板２ｄの境界部に配線挿通口２２を設けた場合にも当て嵌まる。
また、実施形態の蓋部材２６は、回動軸２６ａによる回動構造を例示したが、摺動自在なスライド構造にしたり、或いはキャップ状に取り外し得る着脱自在構造にしてもよい。
また、実施形態では上部幕板１９を固定的なものにしたが、それを開閉自在にしたり或いは着脱自在にすることによりさらなる作業性の向上が可能である。

なお、請求項１では本発明を「遊技機」として把握しているが、例えば、「請求項１に記載した遊技機を組み込み、且つ、遊技機から引き出した配線を接続する配線接続部を遊技機の天板に近いレベルか又はそれ以上の高所に設けるようにした遊技機設置島」と把握することも可能である。

【発明の効果】
本発明の遊技機は、遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後、上部幕板越しに必要な配線の接続が行えるため、遊技機の設置作業と配線作業を別々にして作業能率の向上を図ることが可能であり、また、遊技機を遊技機設置島に設置した後に配線変更が生じた場合でも遊技機設置島から遊技機を一々引き出さなければならない煩わしさがない。また、遊技機設置島と遊技機の間に配線が噛み込むおそれが一切無いため、遊技機を遊技機設置島に組み込む作業の作業性が向上し、また、前記噛み込みによる配線の断線事故が起こり得ない、などの効果を発揮する。

【上記以外の解決手段１】
上記した従来技術に存する課題を上記以外の方法によって解決する手段について、図９、図１０により説明する。先ず、図９に示したように背板２ｄの上部（大人の作業者が上部幕板１９越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲）に図５に示したような配線ホルダー２５を取り付け、背板２ｄの自由な位置に穿設した配線挿通口３２から外枠２の裏側に引き出した配線２０を配線ホルダー２５に通してプラグ２３を止めておく。このとき好ましくはプラグ２３の上端が天板２ａより高く突出しないように配線ホルダー２５の位置を設定するとよい。

一方、遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１は、スロットマシン１の天板２ａに近いレベルかそれ以上の位置、すなわち大人の作業者が上部幕板１９越しに手が届く作業可能な範囲に設けておく。もっとも配線接続部２１は、それ自体が低所にあっても延長線等を使って前記のレベルに接続口があればよい。

配線２０は、配線ホルダー２５を経由して遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１にプラグ２３が届く長さが引張り代として確保されていればよく、図９においてはＵ字状に垂れた部分がそのような引張り代に相当する。もちろん配線２０のこのような引張り代は背板２ｄの外に垂れ下げておく必要はなく、外枠２の中に引出可能な状態に収納しておけばよい。

このスロットマシン１の遊技機設置島１８への設置方法は、プラグ２３の取り出し位置が異なるのみで他は上記スロットマシン１と同じである。また、このスロットマシン１は、上記スロットマシン１とほぼ同じ効果を発揮する他、従来の外枠２に配線ホルダー２５を設けるだけで実施可能であるため、既存のスロットマシン１を改造することが可能であり、また、実施化に要するコストも極めて小さいという効果をも発揮する。

【上記以外の解決手段２】
図１０に示したように前面カバー３を上半体３３ａと下半体３３ｂに分割し、上半体３３ａに外枠２の上半分に設けられる装置類（図柄変動装置４や制御装置８など）を設置してユニット化し、外枠２に対して上半体３３ａを着脱自在に形成する。
また、外枠２には前面カバー３の上半体３３ａと下半体３３ｂに対応させて仕切板３４を形成し、さらに上半体３３ａのユニットを外した状態で外部に晒される部分の背板２ｄに配線操作用の窓穴３５を開設すると共にその窓穴３５の近傍に配線２０の先を位置させておく。図示した実施形態では前記図５に示した配線ホルダー２５をそのまま利用しているが、配線２０の掴み損ねを考慮する必要がないことから粘着テープなどによる仮止め手段を採用するか、或いは配線２０の先を仕切板３４の上の奥に置いておく程度でもよい。
一方、遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１は前記窓穴３５に対応する位置に配設されており、窓穴３５から触れられる範囲にある。

このスロットマシン１は、上半体３３ａを外した状態のまま遊技機設置島１８に組み込んで固定し、この状態で外部に晒されている窓穴３５の奥に遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１が臨んでいるから、恰も配線接続部２１がスロットマシン１の一部であるかのような感覚で遊技機設置島１８との接続が簡単に行える。そして、接続完了後に前面カバー３の上半体３３ａを外枠２に組み付ければスロットマシン１の設置と配線が全て完了する。また、設置後の配線変更の作業も前面カバー３の上半体３３ａをユニットとして着脱するだけで簡単に行える。なお、窓穴３５からの埃や異物の侵入を防止するため、窓穴３５に対して前記したような蓋部材を背板２ｄに取り付けるか、或いは上半体３３ａのユニット後面に蓋部材を取り付けて、ユニットの装着により窓穴３５が自動的に塞がるようにしてもよい。

上記の説明では上半体３３ａを着脱自在なユニットとしたが、下半体３３ｂを着脱自在なユニットにして、対応部位に窓穴３５を開設するようにしてもよい。
【００３３】
以上の解決手段２の技術的思想は、天板２ａ、底板２ｂ、左右の側板２ｃ、背板２ｄで囲った箱状の外枠２を有し、その外枠２の前面に前面カバー３を設けてなり、さらに次の（ａ）〜（ｃ）の要件を具備する遊技機、として把握することができる。
（ａ）前面カバー３を上半体３３ａと下半体３３ｂに分割し、その上半体３３ａ又は下半体３３ｂに装置類を装着してユニット化する。
（ｂ）外枠２に対し上半体３３ａ又は下半体３３ｂのユニットを着脱自在に形成する。
（ｃ）上半体３３ａ又は下半体３３ｂのユニットを外した状態で外部に晒される部分の背板２ｄに遊技機設置島１８の配線接続部２１に対応する窓穴３５を開設する。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a gaming machine that plays using a game medium such as a medal or a ball.
