Description
本発明の目的は、省電力化可能なCSMA方式の無線通信システムを提供することにある。
Claims (6)
- CSMA/CA方式の無線LANシステムの基地局であって、ビーコン周期毎に無線LAN端末によるデータの送信に関する割当情報を送信し、該割当情報は、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に対する割当と全ての省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に共通の全体の割当期間を含み、上記各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に対する割当は、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に割当てたデータの送信期間とデータの送信の開始時点を含み、上記全体の割当期間は、各ビーコン周期における全ての省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に与えられたデータの送信期間であり、該全体の割当期間では、省電力機能を有さない無線LAN端末はデータの送信を行うことができないように構成され、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末は、上記割当に基づいてデータの送信を行い、該データの送信が完了した後、電力停止可能期間となることを特徴とする基地局。
- 上記割当情報により割当てたデータの送信期間に上記省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末がデータの送信を行わなかった場合に、該送信を行わなかった省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に割当てられたデータの送信期間に、ダミー信号を送信することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基地局。
- CSMA/CA方式の無線LANシステム用の省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末であって、ビーコン周期毎に基地局から送信された無線LAN端末によるデータの送信に関する割当情報を受信し、該割当情報は、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に対する割当と全ての省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に共通の全体の割当期間を含み、上記全体の割当期間は、各ビーコン周期における全ての省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に与えられたデータの送信期間であり、該全体の割当期間では、省電力機能を有さない無線LAN端末はデータの送信を行うことができないように構成され、
上記割当情報に含まれる自己に割当てられたデータの送信期間とデータの送信の開始時点に基づいて、データの送信を行い、該データの送信が完了した後、電力停止可能期間となることを特徴とする省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末。 - 上記電力停止可能期間と、上記全体の割当期間以外の期間にて、回路への電力供給を停止又は削減する手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末。
- 基地局からダミー信号を受信したとき、データの送信を行わないことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末。
- 基地局と少なくとも1つの無線LAN端末を含むCSMA/CA方式の無線通信システムにおいて、
上記基地局は、ビーコン周期毎に無線LAN端末によるデータの送信に関する割当情報を送信し、該割当情報は、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に対する割当と全ての省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に共通の全体の割当期間を含み、上記各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に対する割当は、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に割当てられたデータの送信期間及び送信の開始時点を含み、上記全体の割当期間は、各ビーコン周期における全ての省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末に与えられたデータの送信期間であり、該全体の割当期間では、省電力機能を有さない無線LAN端末はデータの送信を行うことができないが、各省電力機能付きの無線LAN端末は、上記割当情報に含まれる自己の割当に基づいて、データの送信を行い、該データの送信が完了した後、電力停止可能期間となることを特徴とする無線通信システム。
