Claims (4)
- 予め設定された元の濃度レベルおよび色を有する複数の2値ビットマップからハーフトーンカラープルーフを印刷する方法であって、前記複数の2値ビットマップの全てについて前記色が同一である場合において、
(a)“n”個の2値ビットマップを組み合わせて“p”ビット画像を形成する“p”ビットのマルチビット画像として、
(b)前記複数の2値ビットマップがお互いに重ね刷りされた少なくとも1つのオーバープリント領域を特定して、
(c)“n”と“p”に基づき、前記オーバープリント領域についてオーバープリント濃度を予測して、
(d)前記オーバープリント濃度および前記元の濃度を画像化するために必要とされる露光量セットを計算して、
(e)前記露光量セットの最大値に等しいかそれよりも大きい数値である最大露光量レベルを設定して、
(f)前記設定された最大露光量レベルを用いて前記露光量セットについてパルス幅変調レベルを計算して、
(g)単一のパスにおいて前記“p”ビット画像における各レベルについて前記パルス幅変調レベルを用いて前記設定された最大露光量レベルで前記色を印刷することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、“p”が、2〜4の範囲内で変動することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法において、“n”が“p”よりも大きい場合において、前記複数の2値ビットマップの全てが印刷されるまで、ステップ(a)〜(g)を繰り返すステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、各々のパルス幅変調レベルについて、基準デューティサイクルおよび前記パルス幅変調レベルを調整するための立ち下がりエッジ延長カウント値であるTEEカウントを計算するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。
