設杭の外径より大きな内径を有し回転しながら既設杭の周囲を掘削するケーシングと、同ケーシングの下部内壁面に一端側が固着され、かつ前記一端側からケーシングの下部内壁面の所々に仮止めされながら同内壁面に沿って水平に延伸された後、方向変換手段を介して上方へ方向変換されたワイヤーソーと、その上方に方向変換されたワイヤーソーを上方に引きあげるワイヤーソー引き上げ手段とを備えた既設杭の切断・撤去装置を使用した既設杭の切断・除去方法において、
前記既設杭の切断・撤去装置のケーシングを既設杭を囲繞するように配設し、同ケーシングを回転させながら既設杭の周囲を掘削する第1の工程と、前記ケーシングが所定深度に達した際に、ケーシングを回転させながら前記ワイヤーソーの上方に方向変換された側の端部を上方に引き上げることにより、既設杭の胴部にワイヤーソー表面を圧接して既設杭を切断する第2の工程と、切断された部分の既設杭をケーシングの内側に保持しつつ地上に引き上げる第3の工程と、引き上げられた既設杭の切断部分をケーシングから取り外す第4の工程と、既設杭の切断部分が取り外されたケーシングを再び、地中に残置された既設杭を囲繞するように配設して、前記第1の工程から第4の工程を繰り返すことによって既設杭を複数に切断して撤去することを特徴とする既設杭の切断・撤去方法
