Description
フレキシブルで巻き取りが可能な金属シート等を用いることができる。
図2及び図3に示すように、各回転翼3は、それぞれ、翼側部6を構成するフレキシブルな(渦巻状に曲がる変形が可能な)帆布を用いた第1シート部材7及び第2シート部材8と、第1、第2シート部材7、8を翼側部6の形状に対応する流線型の形状となるように保持するシート部材保持具9とを備えている。ここで、回転軸2の半径方向(すなわち、回転翼支持アーム4の伸びる方向)にみて第1シート部材7は外側に面し、第2シート部材8は内側に面している。
図5(a)は、通常状態、すなわち翼側部6の表面積を最大にしても回転軸2の回転数が過上昇しない状態(例えば、風速20m/秒未満)における回転翼3の状態を示している。通常状態では、翼側部6の表面積を最大にして、該翼側部6に生じる揚力を最大限に大きくし、回転軸2の回転速度を可及的に高めて、発電機5の発電量を多くするようにしている。この場合、ロープ巻取具15は第1、第2ロープ20、22を最大限に巻き取って第1、第2シート部材7、8を最大限後方に引き出し、したがって第1、第2シート部材巻取具11、12はそれぞれ第1、第2シート部材7、8を最大限に繰り出している(巻き戻している)。
Claims (6)
- 軸中心線が鉛直方向に伸びるように配置され、該軸中心線のまわりに回転することができる回転軸と、
上記回転軸に取り付けられ、風に起因して翼側部に発生する揚力により上記回転軸に回転力を付与する回転翼と、
上記回転軸によって回転駆動される発電機とを備えている縦軸型の風力発電装置であって、
揚力を発生させる上記回転翼の翼側部の表面積を風速に応じて変化させることができるようになっていて、
上記回転翼は、上記翼側部を形成し渦巻状に曲がる変形が可能なシート部材と、上記シート部材を上記翼側部に対応する形状となるように保持するシート部材保持具と、上記シート部材を水平方向に移動するように巻き取り又は繰り出すことができるシート部材移動機構とを備えていて、上記シート部材を巻き取り又は繰り出すことにより上記翼側部の表面積を変化させるようになっていることを特徴とする風力発電装置。 - 上記シート部材移動機構が、
中心線が鉛直方向に伸びるように配置され、該中心線のまわりに回転して上記シート部材を巻き取るシート部材巻取装置と、
中心線が鉛直方向に伸びるように配置され、該中心線のまわりに回転して、上記シート部材に連結されたロープを上記シート部材の巻き取り方向と逆方向に巻き取ることにより、上記シート部材をシート部材巻取装置から引き出すロープ巻取具とを備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の風力発電装置。 - 上記シート部材が、上記回転軸の半径方向にみて外側に面する第1シート部材と内側に面する第2シート部材とで構成されていて、
上記シート部材巻取装置が、上記第1シート部材と上記第2シート部材とを巻き取る一方、上記ロープ巻取具が、上記第1シート部材に連結されたロープと上記第2シート部材に連結されたロープとを巻き取るようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の風力発電装置。 - 上記シート部材巻取装置が、第1シート部材を巻き取る第1シート部材巻取具と、第2シート部材を巻き取る第2シート部材巻取具とで構成され、第1シート部材巻取具と第2シート部材巻取具とが互いに係合して同時に逆方向に回転するようになっている一方、
上記ロープ巻取具が、上記第1シート部材に連結されたロープを巻き取る第1ロープ巻取部材と上記第2シート部材に連結されたロープを巻き取る第2ロープ巻取部材とを有していることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の風力発電装置。 - 上記シート部材が帆布を用いて形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の風力発電装置。
- 上記シート部材が金属シートを用いて形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の風力発電装置。
