Description
The present invention relates to an improvement in a dynamic braking circuit that controls speed by supplying a direct current to an alternating current motor.
For example, overhead traveling cranes used in factories and the like have movements in the X direction (transverse) and Y direction (longitudinal) on a plane coordinate, and hoisting and lowering movements in the Z direction. In driving operation, it is required to smoothly and promptly move a transported item to a predetermined position. As a drive source for this type of crane, an AC motor is generally used, and dynamic braking control (so-called dynamic brake control) is adopted as a speed control method for acceleration / deceleration / stop of the motor.
An electromagnetic contactor (MC) having a mechanical contact is incorporated in the conventional
Therefore, in order to avoid contact wear and tear in the power
When such a contactless switching element is incorporated in the
Furthermore, when performing dynamic braking control, a large-capacity resistance box is required exclusively for converting the regenerative energy from the AC motor 10 into thermal energy, which increases the size of the
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the high-voltage side input terminal (Pi) and the low-voltage side input terminal (Ni) are connected to a DC power source (Ni) in order to supply DC to the AC motor (10) and perform speed control by dynamic braking. 20), in the dynamic braking circuit (18) in which the high-voltage side output terminal (Po) and the low-voltage side output terminal (No) are connected to the AC motor (10),

In addition, one end of the thyristor as the first switching element (24) is connected to the high-voltage side output terminal (Po), and one end of the IGBT or MOSFET as the second switching element (22) is connected to the high-voltage side input terminal (Pi). コンデンサと抵抗との直列接続により構成されている第2スナバ回路(38)を、第2スイッチング素子(22)に対して並列接続し、A second snubber circuit (38) configured by series connection of a capacitor and a resistor is connected in parallel to the second switching element (22);
When the first switching element (24) and the second switching element (22) in the on state are turned off,
First, the second switching element (22), which has a gentler current interruption characteristic than the first switching element (24), is turned off.
Thereby, the current from the AC motor (10) is supplied to the AC motor (10) via the low-voltage side output terminal (No), the commutation circuit (32), the first switching element (24), and the high-voltage side output terminal (Po). ) And the current value decreases with the energy consumption in the commutation circuit (32),
When the value of the current flowing through the first switching element (24) decreases to a value equal to or lower than the holding current of the first switching element (24), the first switching element (24) is self-extinguishing by the first switching element (24). Works off and
At the time of non-operation of speed control by the dynamic braking, the first switching element (24) prevents the alternating current supplied to the alternating current motor (10) from being applied to the dynamic braking circuit (18),
Provided is a power braking circuit (18) configured to shut off the DC supply to the AC motor (10) by the second switching element (22) when the speed control by the power braking is terminated. Is done.
The first switching element is an on-control element exclusively responsible for the on-operation of the DC supplied from the dynamic braking circuit to the AC motor, and the second switching element is supplied from the dynamic braking circuit to the AC motor This is an on / off control element in charge of direct current on / off operation. More specifically, the first switching element is a high breakdown voltage thyristor (SCR) , and the second switching element is a low breakdown voltage insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) or a metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor ( it is a MOSFET).
That is, the present invention follows the method of controlling the speed by performing `` dynamic braking control '' for supplying direct current to the alternating current motor, and as a switch mechanism incorporated in the dynamic braking circuit, the function of blocking application of alternating voltage, The function of supplying direct current to the AC motor is shared by two switching elements connected in series. For example, in order to block an AC voltage having a line voltage of 400 V, a thyristor (SCR) having a high breakdown voltage, a high reliability, and a simple structure is used as the first switching element. This is because the standard of this type of thyristor has a high breakdown voltage such as a maximum allowable voltage of 800 V (withstand voltage of 1600 V), is reliable, and has a simple structure. In addition, in order to pass a direct current to an AC motor through a dynamic braking circuit, the direct current voltage is as low as about 50 V, so a low breakdown voltage insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) or a metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) is used. Used as two switching elements. These IGBTs and MOSFETs are readily available as long as they are of a low withstand voltage type, are inexpensive and rich in versatility.
According to the dynamic braking circuit of the present invention, when performing dynamic braking control of an AC motor, blocking of AC voltage is shared by the first switching element with high breakdown voltage, and blocking of DC current is performed by the second switching element with low breakdown voltage. By sharing such a role, it is possible to incorporate a highly reliable and long-life switch mechanism into the power generation braking circuit. The effects produced by the present invention can be summarized as follows.
(a) During power generation braking control, the higher the AC voltage supplied to the AC motor and the greater the DC current handled by the power generation braking circuit, the greater the merit of the combination of the first switching element and the second switching element.
(b) The current value can be controlled by the switching operation of the second switching element.
(c) The on-operation of DC is performed by the first switching element, thereby avoiding the burden on the second switching element due to excessive rush current (inrush current). Further, since the cutoff characteristic of the second switching element is made gentle, the jumping voltage can be suppressed by turning off (cutting off) the direct current with the second switching element.
In addition, the regenerative current resulting from the inertial rotation of the AC motor after the DC interruption can be converted into heat energy through a commutation circuit using the forward voltage drop characteristic of the diode. Therefore, the large resistance box which has been conventionally required is not required, and the power braking circuit can be reduced in size.
Next, the power generation braking circuit according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings by way of preferred embodiments. FIG. 2 shows a power

In addition, a
Next, a control sequence by the dynamic braking circuit according to the present invention will be described. It is assumed that the
(1) The electromagnetic contactor 12 is operated to cut off the primary side AC power supplied to the AC motor 10. However, since AC motor 10 continues to rotate (perpendicular) due to inertia, it does not stop immediately.
(2) The rotational speed is reduced by reducing the resistance of the short circuit 16 connected to the secondary side of the AC motor 10.
(3) By applying a DC voltage from the power
(4) The AC motor 10 is completely stopped by a mechanical brake (not shown).
The operation sequence of the
(1) Non-operating state of dynamic braking circuit Three-phase alternating current is supplied to the alternating current motor 10 via an electromagnetic contactor 12. For this reason, the AC voltage V ac is also applied to the high-voltage side output terminal Po and the low-voltage side output terminal No of the
(2) During operation of the dynamic braking circuit When the electromagnetic contactor 12 is turned off, the AC supply to the AC motor 10 is cut off. During the OFF operation of the electromagnetic contactor 12, the
(A) Start of dynamic braking When the
(B) During dynamic braking Next, the second driver 28 is activated and a gate signal is supplied to the
(C) Start of operation stop As shown in FIG. 3, the
(d) Completion of operation stop While the current of the
(3) Off operation of the
As described above, the
