【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、雨水の側溝等に蓋をするために用いられるグレーチングの取付口用詰体に関する。

【従来の技術】
グレーチングは縦桟たる主部材と横桟たる補助部材を格子状にした組格子を枠板で囲んだもので、道路等の側溝や横断溝など、各種排水溝等の開口に必要枚数を設置して雨水の排出を保証しつつ、人車の通行を可能にしている。
ところで、グレーチングには載置される側溝側に固定するものがある。グレーチングの主部材をカットして該カット面に補助板を当て、該補助板と主部材とグレーチング周りを囲む枠板とで開口Oを形成する(図1参照)。該開口内に覗くベースプレートに据付け固定用のボルト孔が設けられ、このボルト孔を利用してグレーチングを側溝に固定するのである。側溝に固着した受枠から突き出すボルト軸にベースプレートのボルト孔を通した後、ナットで螺着するのである。そして、定期点検や補修時等でグレーチングを取り外す必要があるときは、該ボルトに螺着しているナットを外して対処してきた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかるに、前記グレーチングに形成された開口は、車両走行でタイヤが入ると乗員に衝撃を与える問題があり、また歩行者等が開口で躓く問題があった。
こうしたことから、従来、開口を塞ぐための金属製カバー(特開平7−305401号)や図6に示すゴム製キャップ8等が提案されてきた。前記金属製カバーはクリップの弾発力で開口の内周壁に固定しようとするもので、また前記キャップ8はゴムのもつ弾性で開口に蓋をしようとするものである。
しかしながら、重量車両等が頻繁に走行すると、いろんな方向から外力が加わり、両者とも開口から外れることがあり、完璧に開口を塞いだ状態を維持するのは困難であった。そして、万一外れた場合、走行車両にそれが当たって事故を誘発する虞れもあった。特に金属製品が外れると危なかった。

本発明は上記問題点を解決するもので、取付口の開口を確実に埋めていかなる車両走行にあっても外れることのないようにして安全を確保し、車両走行や歩行者の開口への落ち込みを解消し、さらに定期点検等でグレーチングを外す場合にも容易に対応できるグレーチングの取付口用詰体を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成すべく、請求項1に記載の発明の要旨は、グレーチングを据付け固定するためにグレーチング面上の一部が開口された取付口の開口より大きめの平面視形状を有する塊状体からなり、該塊状体が弾性体で形成され、さらに上面から底面に向け引き抜き用の小穴が設けられて、前記取付口へ圧入することにより該取付口内に収納されるようにしたことを特徴とするグレーチングの取付口用詰体にある。ここで、「グレーチング面」はグレーチング上面をいう。「取付口の開口より大きめの平面視形状を有する塊状体」とは、少なくとも塊状体の平面視形状の一辺が取付口の開口より大きく、圧入しなければ取付口に収納できない大きさの塊状体であれば足りる。
請求項2に記載の発明の要旨は、グレーチングを据付け固定するためにグレーチング面上の一部が開口された取付口の上面開口より平面視形状が大きめで、且つ高さが取付口の該上面開口の一辺より大なる柱状体からなる弾性体で形成され、さらに上面から底面に向け引き抜き用の小穴が設けられて、前記取付口へ圧入することにより上面がグレーチング面と略面一になるようにして該取付口内に収納されることを特徴とするグレーチングの取付口用詰体にある。ここで、「高さが取付口の該上面開口の一辺より大なる柱状体」とは、取付口の該上面開口の小さな方の一辺の長さより高さが大きな柱状体をいう。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明のグレーチングの取付口用詰体について詳述する。図1〜図5は、本発明に係るグレーチングの取付口用詰体(以下、単に「詰体」という。)の一形態で、図1はその全体斜視図、図2は図1の部分平面図、図3は図2のAーA線縦断面図、図4は取付口に取着された詰体を取り外す模様を示す説明断面図、図5は別態様の詰体の斜視図である。

(1)取付口
取付口25は、グレーチング周壁部に形成されるグレーチング据付け固定用開口穴部である。グレーチング2は主部材20と帯板状の補助部材21とが幅方向を起立させて格子状に形成し雨水排水用隙間をつくるが、グレーチング2を据付け固定する本発明の金属製グレーチング2では、該隙間より大きな開口をもつ取付口25が形成される。ここでは、主部材20としてI型鋼の主材20aを所定ピッチで配置し、且つ該主材間を帯板からなる補助バー20bを定ピッチ配設する。そして、これらと補助部材21を格子状に交差して雨水排水用隙間を形成したグレーチング2になっているが、この隙間幅より平面視が大なる開口を有する取付口25が形成される。グレーチング2の補助バー20bを一又は複数カットしてカット面に補助板24を当てて、該補助板24と主部材20(補助バー20b)とグレーチング2周りを囲む枠板(エンドバーともいう)22とで開口を形成し、該開口内に覗くグレーチング2のベースプレート23に据付け固定用のボルト孔231が設けられた取付口25とする。本実施形態は、三枚の補助バー20bをカットして該補助バーのカット面に補助板24を当て、四角枠の取付口25を形成する。前記ボルト孔231へ側溝uの両側縁の段差u上に固着された受枠3から突き出すボルト軸部51aを挿通させ、グレーチング2を側溝uに載置すると、グレーチング2は側溝uに蓋をする状態になる(図3,図4)。符号4はアンカーを示す。

小突起26は枠板22に対向する前記縦板241の面に形成される丸ボタン状の金属製隆起体で、ここでは小突起26を開口に向く縦板241面の略中央に溶接固定している。小突起26の隆起高さhは詰体1の寸法やその弾性圧縮特性等により適宜決定される。本実施形態の小突起26の隆起高さhは2mm〜5mm程度とする。小突起26は前記縦板241の他、開口内に向く主部材20又は補助板24の板面に形成することもできる。しかし、施工上は、後加工で付加される縦板241に溶接固定するのが容易で、本実施形態もこれを採用する。

(2)詰体
詰体1は前述のごとくグレーチング2を据付け固定するためにグレーチング面上の一部が開口されたグレーチング据付け固定用取付口25に詰めて該取付口25の横板242より上方の四角柱の開口空間Sを埋めるものである。
詰体1は、グレーチング2を据付け固定するためにグレーチング面上の一部が開口された取付口25の開口より大きめの平面視形状を有する塊状体からなる。ここでは、詰体1が取付口25に収納されたとき、詰体1周りに隙間があまりできないように、詰体1は取付口25の上面開口Oと平面視形状が略同形の柱状体すなわち四角柱になっている。本実施形態の詰体1の平面視形状は、取付口25の上面開口Oの四角形より若干大きめにした四角形である。詳しくは、取付口25の上面開口Oの縦長さXより詰体1の平面視縦長さXが大きく、且つ取付口25の上面開口Oの横長さYより詰体1の平面視横長さYが小さく設定されている。これも取付口25の開口より大きめの平面視形状を有した詰体1とする。Y<Yとするのは、本実施形態では詰体1として天然ゴム製のソリッド(中実体)を採用し、これを弾性変形させ取付口25へ圧入するのであるが、圧入により縦長さXの圧縮変形で横長さYへ伸びる分をY<Yによる隙間形成で吸収しようとするためである。
詰体1の高さZは、特にここでは、取付口25の該上面開口Oの一辺より大にして、取付口25の横板242より上方の四角柱開口空間Sの高さにほぼ一致させている。取付口25の高さを上面開口Oの一辺より大にするのは、取付口25に収納された詰体1を引き抜こうとするには上面開口Oの一辺長さより上へ持ち上げねばならず、車両走行の外力等が加わった際でもより抜け難い構造になるからである。また、重量車両等が走行して変形により詰体1が取付口25から外れようとしても詰体高さZがあると、その分、詰体1の下端部が取付口25の内周壁に強く当たり、この反力で詰体1と取付口25の強力な一体化が図られ外れ難くなるからである。なお、図面では取付口25に収納された詰体1は、取付口25と区別できるように便宜的に隙を設けて図示しているが、圧入されたところは当然両者が密着している。

詰体1はゴム,スポンジ等の弾性体で形成されており、ここでは四角柱全体が既述のごとく天然ゴム(NR)製の中実の弾性体で造られている。そして、前記取付口25へ圧入することにより該取付口25内に収納されるようになっている。
詰体1が弾性体の弾性変形特性を生かして圧入により、取付口25に係る前記開口空間Sに収納されると、詰体1の上面はグレーチング上面とほぼ面一になる。詰体1の上面をグレーチング上面とほぼ面一とするのは、キャップ8のようにグレーチング上面より上に出るフランジ部81があると、取り外しが容易になるものの車両走行等で振動を与えたり、出っ張ているフランジ部81へ横方向等から外力が加わり、キャップ8が浮き上がったりし易くなるが、本発明品では出っ張り部分がない分、そのようなことがなくなるからである。
ここで、詰体1に使用される弾性体としては、前記天然ゴムの他に弾性変形が可能なイソプレン系ゴム,ブタジエン系ゴム等の合成ゴムでも勿論よい。さらに、ラバーフォームやプラスチックフォーム等のソリッドゴム(中実ゴム)より弾性変形が大の発泡体を用いることができる。詰体1に発泡体を使用した場合は、前記X,YはX>X、且つY>Yとしても何ら不都合はない。

詰体1が取付口25に圧入されると、圧入により詰体1の四角柱側壁が取付口25を形成する板体(主部材20,縦板241,補助板24)に圧接しその反力が働いて、詰体1は取付口25に収納固定される状態となる。さらに小突起26の形成により該小突起26が弾性体からなる詰体1を変形させ、詰体1の内部へ突出して詰体1をより確実に係止する構成にある。そのため、よほどの外力が働かない限り、一旦取付口25に収納された詰体1は外れなくなっている。

さらに、詰体1には上面から底面に向け引き抜き用の小穴10が形成される。本実施形態は詰体1の上面から底面に貫通する小穴10すなわち小孔になっているが、底面まで至らない途中までの小穴10でも勿論よい。該小穴10は取付口25に収納された詰体1を抜き取るときに利用されるものである。一旦、詰体1が取付口25に圧入により収納されると、外れ難くなると同時にこれを抜き取るのは至難となる。しかしながら、小穴10が形成されていると簡単に詰体1を抜き取ることができる。本発明では、例えば図4のような抜取り具6を製作することにより、グレーチング2に収納状態にある詰体1を抜取ることができる。抜取り具6はT形状になっており、手で掴むハンドル部61から抜取り軸62が垂下している。抜取り軸62には所定ピッチで隆起部621のある鉄筋コンクリート用棒鋼を用いる。抜取り軸62の径(ここでは約9mmφ)を小穴10(ここでは約6mmφ)よりやや大きめに設定して、小穴10に抜取り軸62を挿入すると詰体1が弾性体でつくられているために小穴10が拡径して抜取り軸62が小穴10に挿入される。さらに抜取り軸62の多数の隆起部621が小穴10の内周壁を押し付け、その反発力で抜取り軸62が詰体1と一体化状態になるので、小穴10への抜取り軸62の挿入後、ハンドル部61を持ってそのまま引き上げれば詰体1を容易に引き上げることができるのである。詰体1が取付口25に圧入収納されていても、さらに小突起26が設けられていても、この圧入抵抗より抜取り軸62と小穴10の内周壁との嵌合抵抗を大きく採ることができるので、詰体1の抜取りが可能となる。

本実施形態では詰体1全体が図5(イ)のごとく同一の中実ゴム材料からなるが、詰体1は既述のごとく発泡体(図5のロ)とすることができ、さらに、上部に位置する主部11を弾性体材料とし、下部12を別材料のものを用いることもできる(図5のハ)。詰体1の下部12が弾性体でない場合は、図5(ハ)の下部12の平面視形状は取付口25に挿入できるよう一回り小さくなる。図5(ハ)では、グレーチング2を据付け固定するためにグレーチング面上の主部11(一部)が開口された取付口25の上面開口Oと平面視形状が略同形にして、高さが取付口25の該上面開口Oの一辺より大なる柱状体からなり、さらに上面から底面に向け引き抜き用の小穴10が形成されると共に、少なくとも主部11(一部)が弾性体で形成され、該弾性体で形成された部分を前記取付口25へ圧入することにより上面がグレーチング面と略面一になるようにして該取付口25内に収納される詰体1となっている。
また、詰体1全体が同一の中実ゴム材料からなるものであっても、図5(ニ)のごとく詰体1の柱状体の側端面にアール加工Rを施したものを用いてもよい。

このように構成したグレーチング2の取付口25およびグレーチング2の取付口用詰体1は、グレーチング2に取付口25が設けられても詰体1によって埋められているので、取付口25上を車両が走行しても衝撃はなく、歩行者が躓くこともない。そして、詰体1がグレーチング上面と面一になっているので、車両走行や歩行で引っ掛かりがない。しかも、引っ掛かりやすいキャップ8等と比べれば浮き上がり難い構造になっている。
詰体1の上面がグレーチング上面と面一になるようにするのも、詰体高さZが開口空間Sの高さと一致するよう横板242を設ければたやすく実現できる。取付口25へ単純に詰体1を埋め込んでやれば横板242に当たったところで止まり、その時点で詰体1の上面がグレーチング上面に一致する。グレーチング2の固定用ナット52の取付け,取外しに横板242が邪魔になりそうであるが、横板242に切欠き部243が形成されているので、工具7のソケット71をナット52に楽に嵌合できる。定期点検等でのグレーチング2の取り外しに支障は起きない。
詰体1は市販のゴム製角柱材を所定長さにカットし小穴10を設けるだけであり、低コスト製作できる。

従来のキャップ8等にあっては、側壁83でキャップ8と取付口25との固定化を図っており、外力が加わると側壁で囲まれた中空部85の存在によって側壁83が中空部85内の方へ曲がり、キャップ8が取付口25から抜け出やすい構造にあるが、本発明の詰体1は自律的に抜け難い構造になっている。すなわち、詰体1が中実の塊状体(本実施形態は四角柱)であり、外力が加わって前記側壁83に対応する部分が内方へ曲がろうとしても、中実であるため曲がるのが阻止される。さらに少し曲げられたとしても、詰体1全体が弾性体からなるので、その反力が大きく働き、結局、詰体1が取付口25から抜け出せないような構成にある。

以上のごとく、本発明のグレーチングの取付口用詰体は、車両走行によるあらゆる方向からの外力に対し外れることのないようにして取付口の開口を確実に埋め、安全性を高めて車両走行や歩行者の開口への落ち込みを解消し、その一方で、定期点検等でグレーチングを外す場合には容易に対応できるなど極めて有益である。
