【従来の技術】
従来、自動車に使用されるブレーキホース、パワーステアリングホース、オイルクーラーホース等あるいは各種産業機器に使用される圧力ホースには、先端にアイジョイント口金具が接続され、このアイジョイント口金具を介して対象装置に取り付けられる。アイジョイント口金具は、円環部とホースを接続する管部とを一体に形成したものであって、前記円環部にアイボルトを挿通し、対象装置にアイボルトのネジ部を螺合することによって一体に接続されるが、螺合する際には前記円環部の上下面にパッキンを配設して流体漏れを防止している。

前記アイジョイント口金具の製造方法の一例を示せば、図5に示すように、まず棒状素材1を冷間鍛造し、先端部に球状部2を成型し、次に、球状部2に接するように首部3を切削加工する(図5(b))。次いで、図5(c)に示すように、穴明け加工によりほぼ軸芯に流体通路4を形成する。前記穴明け加工は切削又は鍛造により行うことができる。前記流体通路4を形成した後、続いて切削加工によってスリーブ5及びニップル6を形成する。次いで、球状部2を軸芯方向に対して水平な平行面になるようにシール面7を形成すると共に、アイボルト挿入孔8を切削加工してなる。アイボル挿入孔8は流体通路4と連通している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記従来の製造方法においては、冷間鍛造では、棒状素材1に球状部2を成型するのみであり、流体通路4、スリーブ5,シール面7及びアイボルト挿入孔8は、切削加工によるものであるから、手間がかかりしかも材料歩留まりが悪い。そのために、生産コストが高くなると共に、生産性が悪いという問題があった。

この発明は、かかる現況に鑑みてなされたもので、スリーブ本体とニップル本体とを別途成型し、スリーブ本体を冷間鍛造により成型することによって、全体として生産コストが安く、歩留まりの良いアイジョイント口金具の製造方法を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は上記目的を達成するために次のような構成とした。即ち、この発明に係るアイジョント口金具の製造方法は、分割して成型されたスリーブ本体とニップル本体とを固着する製造方法であって、スリーブ本体は、穴明け用の突起を設けた上型と下型とにより棒状素材の軸芯に対して直交する方向に冷間鍛造することによって首部とアイボルトを挿入する円環部とを成型した後、円環部とは反対側から軸芯方向に冷間鍛造することによってスリーブと首部内の流体通路とを同時に成型するとともに、スリーブ内には流体通路に対して直角面をなすニップル突き当て面を形成し、別途分割成型したニップルの一端にフランジ状接合部を設けてなるニップル本体のフランジ状接合部を前記スリーブ本体内のニップル突き当て面に固着することを特徴とする。スリーブ本体は、冷間鍛造による2工程によって製造される。

この製造方法によれば、スリーブ本体は、円周方向と軸芯方向の2工程の鍛造によって成型することができるから、工程を簡略化することができると共に、複雑な装置を必要としない。また、鍛造のみによって成型することができるので、切り粉等の発生がなく作業環境を良好に保つことができるばかりでなく、切り粉が流体に混入することがなくなる。。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、この発明を図示する実施形態について詳細に説明する。この発明に係るアイジョイント口金具は、スリーブ本体20とニップル本体30とに分割成型し、スリーブ本体20は冷間鍛造により成型される。即ち、図1(a)に示すように、スリーブ本体20を成型するには、まず棒状素材1の軸芯方向に対して直角方向に冷間鍛造することによって、首部21と円環部22とを同時に成型及び穴明け加工をする。
