図1に、本発明に係る自動車、すなわち本発明に係るハイブリッド駆動装置を搭載した自動車1の一例を示す。同図に示す自動車1は、FR(フロントエンジン・リヤドライブ)タイプの自動車であり、同図はその概略構成を模式的に示す平面図である。なお、実際の自動車においては、同図中の矢印F方向が前側、矢印R方向が後側となる。
次に、図1に示す自動車1に搭載される本発明に係るハイブリッド駆動装置7の他の例として、本実施の形態に係るハイブリッド駆動装置7Bについて説明する。まず、図4のスケルトン図を参照してハイブリッド駆動装置7B全体の概略について説明し、つづいて、図5を参照して具体的な構成について詳述する。なお、これらの図においては、矢印F方向が車体の前側(内燃エンジン側)、また矢印R方向が車体の後側(ディファレンシャル装置側)となっている。

前記入力軸と1軸上に整列して配置されかつ駆動車輪に連動する出力軸と、

前記1軸上に配置され、前記入力軸に連結する第1の回転要素と、前記第1の電気モータのロータに連結する第2の回転要素と、前記出力軸に連結する第3の回転要素とを有する動力分配用プラネタリギヤと、
前記1軸上に配置され、ステータとロータとを有する第2の電気モータと、
