- a.ガス状の又は気化しうる炭化水素類及び水を水素、一酸化炭素及び別の改質器生成物に変換するための改質触媒を有する加熱された蒸気改質段階(1)であって、前記蒸気改質段階(1)が改質触媒を収容するための環状空間として構成されているジャケット空間を有する中空体として構成されており、かつ加熱装置(4)がジャケット空間中に配置されており;
b.水素、一酸化炭素及び過剰の水蒸気からなり、蒸気改質段階から流れ出ている混合物の接触転化のための、蒸気改質段階(1)に後接続された少なくとも1つのシフト段階(2a,2b)であって、前記の1又は複数の転化段階(2a,2b)が相応する触媒を収容するための環状空間を有する中空体として構成されており;及び
c.転化生成物の残留−一酸化炭素含量の触媒による減少のための1又は複数の転化段階(2a,2b)に後接続された精密精製段階(3)であって、前記の精密精製段階(3)が、相応する触媒を収容するための環状空間を有する中空体として構成されており、かつ精密精製段階(3)の環状空間が精密精製段階側の転化段階(2b)の環状空間に直接接続されている

蒸気改質段階側の転化段階(2a)の環状空間が、全ての段階(1,2,2a,3)に亘って貫通した環状空間を形成しながら、蒸気改質段階(1)の環状空間に直接接続されている

- 中空円筒形に形成された1又は複数の転化段階(2a,2b)の内部に、水により及び/又は炭化水素類により貫流可能である別の冷却媒体路(16)が配置されている、請求項1から19までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
