However, in order to drive the light emitting element, an alternating high voltage is required. Recently, an organic electroluminescence element (organic electroluminescence element: organic EL element) using an organic material as a luminescent material has been developed (for example, see Non-Patent Document 1). An organic electroluminescent element has a structure in which a thin film containing a fluorescent organic compound is sandwiched between an anode and a cathode, and excitons are injected by injecting electrons and holes into the thin film and recombining them. It is an element that emits light by using light emitted when this exciton is deactivated by generating (exciton). The organic electroluminescent element can emit light at a low direct current voltage of about several volts to several tens of volts, and various colors (for example, red, blue, green) can be selected by selecting the type of the fluorescent organic compound. ) Can be emitted. The organic electroluminescent element having such characteristics is expected to be applied to various light emitting elements, display elements and the like. However, in general, organic electroluminescent elements have drawbacks such as poor stability and durability. Furthermore, the light emission luminance is low and not practically sufficient.
[0003]
It has been proposed to use 4,4′-bis [N-phenyl-N- (3 ″ -methylphenyl) amino] biphenyl as a hole injecting and transporting material in an organic electroluminescent device (for example, non-patent literature). 2). However, this organic electroluminescent device also has drawbacks such as poor stability and durability. As a method for improving light emission luminance, for example, an organic electroluminescent element using tris (8-quinolinolato) aluminum as a host compound, a coumarin derivative, and a pyran derivative as a guest compound (dopant) has been proposed as a light emitting layer (for example, Non-Patent Document 3). In addition, as a light emitting layer, an organic material using bis (2-methyl-8-quinolinolato) (4-phenylphenolate) aluminum as a host compound and an acridone derivative (for example, N-methyl-2-methoxyacridone) as a guest compound. An electroluminescent element has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). However, it cannot be said that these light-emitting elements also have sufficient light emission luminance. Currently, further improved organic electroluminescent devices are desired.
[0004]
Further, there is no satisfactory electron injecting and transporting material in the organic electroluminescent device, and a further improved organic electroluminescent device is desired.
[0005]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a novel compound useful for a material for an organic electroluminescent device, which can provide an organic electroluminescent device excellent in stability, durability, light emission luminance and luminous efficiency, and comprises the compound. An object of the present invention is to provide an organic electroluminescent element material and an organic electroluminescent element using the organic electroluminescent element material.
