本発明は振動子の洗浄装置及び洗浄方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
図1は円筒型水晶振動子の斜視図である。円筒型水晶振動子1の容器は封止管2、金属環3、絶縁部材4、二本のリード5などで構成されていて、内部に水晶を矩形状に加工した矩形状水晶振動片が収納されている。

図2は気密端子の斜視図である。気密端子6は二本のリード5を絶縁部材4を介して金属環3に固定している。

図3は円筒型水晶振動子の内部構造の斜視図である。矩形状水晶振動片7は図中記載のX軸方向を矩形状水晶振動片短手方向、Y軸方向を矩形状水晶振動片長手方向といい、X軸とY軸を含む矩形状水晶振動片平面を主面と呼ぶ。主面の両面にはそれぞれ電極8が形成されており、二本のインナーリード5Aは、半田ペースト9により矩形状水晶振動片7の主面の長手方向の一端に片支持で導通がとられている。

図4は加熱前の半田ペーストと気密端子の断面図である。気密端子6のインナーリード5A部に半田ペースト9が塗布されている。半田ペースト9には半田微粒子9Aと有機溶剤9Bが含まれている。

図5は加熱後の半田ペーストと気密端子と矩形状水晶振動片の断面図である。インナーリード5Aに半田ペースト9を塗布した後、矩形状水晶振動片7をインナーリード5A間に挿入し、加熱する。加熱された半田ペースト9中の半田微粒子9Aは液相線温度以上で溶体(溶けている状態)となる。その後固相線温度以下で再度固体となり、インナーリード5Aと矩形状水晶振動片7上の電極8とが導通固定される。固化した半田ペースト9表面や矩形状水晶振動片7にはフラックスなどの有機溶剤9Bが異物として残るので、塩素系溶剤などを用いて洗浄し除去する。また、ブラッシング法などの洗浄手段も用いられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、半田微粒子と有機溶剤が含まれている半田ペーストを加熱すると温度上昇により半田ペースト中の有機溶剤が沸騰し突沸が発生する。突沸により半田微粒子が飛び散り矩形状水晶振動片や気密端子にも付着してしまう。半田微粒子やフラックスなどの有機溶剤等の異物を除去するために、塩素系溶剤を用いた洗浄やブラッシング洗浄を行っているが、矩形状水晶振動片や気密端子に付着した前記半田微粒子は除去しきれずに残ってしまい、振動子の諸特性に悪影響を及ぼす可能性がある。本発明はこの課題を解決することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
二本のリード線を絶縁部材を介して金属環に固定した気密端子の二本のインナーリードと振動片とを導電性部材により固定された振動子の洗浄装置であって、前記振動片のインナーリードと固定されていない端部側から気密端子側に噴射ノズル先端を向けて配置したドライアイス噴射ノズルを有し、前記噴射ノズルから振動片に向けてドライアイスを噴射して異物を除去する振動子の洗浄装置とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に図面を参照して本発明の実施形態について説明する。

図6は本発明の一実施形態で振動子の洗浄装置の要部構成を示す図である。図7は振動子とドライアイス噴射ノズルとの相対的な位置関係を示す図である。振動子の洗浄装置16はドライアイス噴射ノズル10、該ノズル10を移動させる為の単軸ロボット11、除去した半田微粒子を吸引するための排気ノズル12、水晶振動子1’を固定するためのホルダー13、ホルダー13を固定するための固定ユニット14等から構成されている。

ホルダー13には図示してないが、気密端子6のリード(不図示)が入る穴があいており、ホルダー1個で水晶振動子1’を5本セットすることができる構成のものである。

固定ユニット14へは矩形状水晶振動片7のインナーリード(不図示)と固定されてない端部が下側になるようにホルダー13がセットされている。

ドライアイス噴射ノズル10は矩形状水晶振動片7のインナーリード(不図示)と固定されていない端部側に配置されており、図7においては、矩形状水晶振動片7の主面に対し概ね15度の角度に傾けて二本配置した構成である。これによって矩形状水晶振動片7の主面へ片面毎にドライアイス15を吹き付けることができ、かつ気密端子6へもドライアイス15を吹き付けることができる。ドライアイス噴射ノズル10からドライアイス15を噴射すると、矩形状水晶振動片7や気密端子6に付着している半田微粒子にドライアイス15が衝突し、半田微粒子を弾き飛ばすことができるので、矩形状水晶振動片7や気密端子6から半田微粒子等の異物を除去することができる。除去された半田微粒子は排気ノズル12にて吸引され、再付着を防止している。

ドライアイス噴射ノズル10は単軸ロボット11により移動しホルダーへセットされた5個の水晶振動子1’を順に洗浄していく。

本実施形態ではドライアイス噴射ノズル10を矩形状水晶振動片7の主面に対し15度傾けて両面にそれぞれ1本ずつ配置したが、本発明の目的が達成できれば、ドライアイス噴射ノズル10の傾きや配置本数は適宜決定すればよい。

以上、本発明を矩形状水晶振動子で説明したが、セラミックやその他(単結晶圧電素子等)の脆性材料を使用した振動子の洗浄にも適用できる。

【発明の効果】
二本のリード線を絶縁部材を介して金属環に固定した気密端子の二本のインナーリードと振動片とを導電性部材により固定された振動片のインナーリードと固定されていない端部側から気密端子側に噴射ノズルを向けて配置し、前記ノズルから振動片にドライアイスを噴射することにより、振動片や気密端子に付着している異物を除去することができる。
