この種の携行用カートは、一般に、互いに平行な左右一対の支柱、この一対の支柱の下端部に支持された左右一対の車輪、および、一対の支柱の下端付近に片持ち式に支持され折り畳み自在とされた荷載置部を備えて構成されている。左右一対の支柱は上部で互いに連接され、その連接部が、携行用カートを移動させる際に手で把持するための取っ手となる。また、一対の支柱は、それぞれ複数本、例えば3本のパイプを連接して構成され、下部パイプに中間パイプを摺動自在に嵌挿し、中間パイプに上部パイプを摺動自在に嵌挿して、伸縮自在な構造となっている。そして、中間パイプに対し上部パイプを引き上げ、下部パイプに対し中間パイプを引き上げて、支柱を伸張させたときに、中間パイプに対し上部パイプを固定し、下部パイプに対し中間パイプを固定して、支柱を伸張状態に保つために、それぞれロック機構が設けられており、また、支柱を伸張させた状態から収縮させることができるように、パイプ同士の固定状態を解除するためのロック解除機構がそれぞれ設けられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の携行用カートでは、上記したように支柱を3本のパイプで構成し、荷物の運搬時には支柱を伸張させ、使用しない携帯時には支柱を収縮させるようにしているが、支柱の伸張時にパイプ同士を固定し支柱の収縮時にパイプ同士の固定状態を解除するロック・ロック解除機構は、複雑な構成となっている。特に、操作性を考慮して、上部パイプの押し下げ動作により下部パイプと中間パイプとの固定状態を解除することができるような工夫を施しているため、下部パイプと中間パイプとのロック解除機構が複雑な構成となっている。このように、ロック解除機構の構成が複雑になると、それだけ製作が難しくなり、故障を生じたり操作の確実性が低下したりする可能性がある。

以下、この発明の好適な実施形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。
