Description
The present invention relates to a color comfort meter for presenting the degree of comfort of color, for example, the degree of comfort of coloring with an objective index. Specifically, when viewing a color environment in which various colors are distributed, The present invention relates to a color comfort meter that can measure the visual comfort level felt by a person based on color analysis based on an image measurement device and the opposite color theory, and can obtain a guideline for a more comfortable color tone.
Conventionally, a technology for evaluating a color environment that is comfortable for human beings and creating a color environment that is comfortable for human beings has been demanded as the color overflows in daily life due to the progress of color engineering. For such technology development, it is necessary to objectively express the psychological quantity related to human comfort with respect to the color environment using the colorimetric measurement quantities (luminance, chromaticity) of the colors distributed in the environment. It will be indispensable.
As a technique for creating such a comfortable color environment for humans, for example, the techniques described in
By the way, although the psychological amount related to the feeling of comfort in the color environment is generally influenced by many environmental factors, two of the main factors are “color number” and “brilliance”. It is clear that using this principle, theoretically, the reliability is also high, and the color scheme of the product color, package color, store color, clothing color, interior decoration color, etc. Is not done. In addition, when a color scheme is determined, the evaluation of the color scheme is not sufficiently objective, and when a person sees a color environment in which various colors are distributed, the visual comfort level felt by the person is displayed. A color comfort meter that can do this has been desired.
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to measure the visual comfort that a person feels when viewing a color environment in which various colors are distributed by color analysis based on an image measurement device and the opposite color theory, and further, red, It is an object of the present invention to provide a color comfort meter that can obtain a guideline for a more comfortable color tone by adjusting the screen colors of green, yellow, and blue.
In order to achieve the above object, a color comfort meter according to the present invention has, as a basic configuration, an imaging device that captures color data of an image to be evaluated, and the imaging device based on the color data captured by the imaging device. Chromaticity conversion unit that corrects color characteristics, and color data processing that extracts the red, green, yellow, and blue color component amounts from the color data output from the chromaticity conversion unit and calculates the vividness level using a predetermined arithmetic expression A color analysis processing unit that obtains the number of colors from color data output from the chromaticity conversion unit based on an area classified into similar color groups on the chromaticity diagram, and the vividness calculated by the color data processing unit A comfort level evaluation processing unit is provided that calculates and outputs the degree of visual comfort level based on the degree and the number of colors obtained by the color analysis processing unit .
Color Comfort the meter according to the present invention, red extracted from the color data, green, yellow, has a color tone adjustment means for adjusting the screen color tone by adjusting the amount blue color components, further, the Comfort Rating A visual comfort level output by the processing unit is displayed, and a comfort level display unit that displays an image of the original evaluation target for which the visual comfort level is calculated is provided.
The color comfort meter according to the present invention is characterized by the principle that “two factors of“ color number ”and“ brightness ”are greatly influenced as the main factors of the psychological amount related to the comfort of the color environment”. The method for obtaining these two quantities is embodied and configured as a color comfort meter. In addition, a feedback mechanism for changing the color tone is provided so that a design guideline for a more comfortable color tone can be obtained.
Since the color comfort meter of the present invention has the characteristics as described above, according to the color comfort meter of the present invention, the human visual comfort level when viewing the color environment is the color category existing in the environment. The opposite color component, which is the number and vividness component, is measured with a weight, and the index can be obtained. Further, since it is configured to further adjust the opposite color component, it is possible to obtain a more comfortable color design guideline by trying each adjustment of the color component.
Hereinafter, an embodiment for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an outline of a system configuration of a color comfort meter. In FIG. 1, 100 is an image measurement unit of an image input unit such as a video camera, 101 is a chromaticity conversion unit that corrects measurement color characteristics of an image input unit such as a video camera, and 102 is red, green, yellow, and blue. Color component setting register for each color component, 103 is a vividness evaluation processing unit, 104 is a color data processing unit that performs color data processing calorimetrically, 105 is a comfort level evaluation processing unit, and 106 is color comfort A color comfort level display unit for displaying the degree, 120 is a color analysis processing unit, 121 is a color number determination unit, and 122 is a color category classification table for analyzing the color number.
In the system configuration shown in FIG. 1, the
The color
The color
The visual comfort level
Although only schematically shown, the display screen of the color comfort
Next, specific examples of the color comfort meter according to the present invention will be described. FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining the classification of color categories and the distribution of chromaticity points of a sample image plotted on a uniform chromaticity diagram (CIEu′v ′ chromaticity coordinates). FIG. It is a graph which shows an example of experimental data about the correlation of the examined comfort index and subjective evaluation. Refer to these figures.
The color information of the environment in which humans live is imaged using a video camera having an appropriate resolution or an imaging device equivalent thereto. From the color data of the obtained image, the color characteristics of the video camera are corrected from the colorimetric values of each pixel (brightness values and x, y chromaticity coordinate values of the CIE color system), and the colorimetry of the entire screen. Estimate the data.
The method of obtaining the number of colors here is based on the color category concept supported by the color theory, and decomposes the continuously changing colors into similar color groups. The color group is a group of 11 colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, white, black, and gray, and a region in each chromaticity diagram corresponding to each group is determined in advance. . In this case, a color category classification table for classifying colors into categories and performing analysis is used.
As illustrated in FIG. 2, the color distributed in the environment colorimetrically to measure, by plotting the chromaticity diagram, Ru distributed to 11 different groups of color. By this, to calculate the number of color categories that exist in the environment of interest, and used to the color number N. These data processes are performed by the color
The vividness degree S is defined by an average vividness obtained by calculating vividness (saturation degree) from calorimetric data of each element of the color environment. As a technique for color design, the vividness is decomposed into four colors of red, green, yellow, and blue based on the opposite color characteristics, and an appropriate weight is added to these to add the vividness degree S. I will decide. The comfort index can be adjusted by adjusting the weight of each component.
S=wrR+wgG+wyY+wbB ・・・・(1)
In order to decompose the color components of the color environment into red, green, yellow, and blue components based on the opposite colors, each pixel of the image measured with a video camera or the like is displayed on the chromaticity diagram as unique red, unique green, It is decomposed into vector components along the reference lines of unique yellow and unique blue, and decomposed into red, green, yellow and blue components. Then, by integrating each unique color component of each pixel, the red, green, yellow, and blue components of the environment are extracted. The degree of vividness S is expressed as a weighted addition of these four components and is expressed by the following equation (1).
S = w r R + w g G + w y Y + w b B (1)
Here, R, G, Y, and B represent the components of all of the unique red, unique green, unique yellow, and unique blue pixels, respectively, and w r , w g , w y , and w b represent the vividness of each component. Represents the weight on the. These data processes are performed by the color
K=aN+bS+c
=aN+b(wrR+wgG+wyY+wbB)+c
As a result of experimental examination, the comfort level of the color environment is negatively correlated with the number of color categories and also negatively correlated with vividness, so the number of color categories is N (color number), Expressing saturation degree S is colorimetrically specific saturation, comfort K is expressed by the following equation (2).
K = aN + bS + c
= AN + b (w r R + w g G + w y Y + w b B) + c ···· (2)
Here, a, b, and c are approximation coefficients, and are set so as to optimally express the comfort level K for several sample images.
As described with reference to FIG. 1, the color comfort meter is basically composed of image measurement, color analysis, color tone feedback, and comfort level display unit. Therefore, the color environment is measured with a video camera, Colorimetric data is obtained for each pixel through a chromaticity conversion unit that performs color correction. Analyzing this color information,
(1) Obtain the number of colors N based on the classification of the color category,
(2) Calculate the vividness degree S based on the four opposite color component amounts and their weights,
(3) calculating the visual comfort K with the appropriate weights from these quantities.
As a result of the experiment, a result as shown in FIG. 3 is obtained. As is clear from FIG. 3, in the correlation between the comfort index and the subjective evaluation studied using the 18 scenes of the sample scene, the comfort index (horizontal) is obtained by using the arithmetic expression shown at the bottom of the graph of FIG. axis) and comfort subjective evaluation value (which substantially coincides with the longitudinal axis), by using such calculation formula, suitable numerical index, has assumed that the index of comfort can be obtained.
In the color comfort meter according to the present invention, by adjusting each component of red, green, yellow and blue separated into opposite colors, the color tone of the screen is changed, and the comfort level at this time is calculated and displayed. Thus, it is possible to know the increase or decrease of the comfort level by feedback of the color tone change, and to obtain a design guideline for obtaining a more comfortable color tone.
As described above, the color comfort meter according to the present invention weights the human visual comfort level when viewing the color environment to the number of color categories existing in the environment and the opposite color component which is a component of vividness. By measuring and measuring the opposite color component, a comfortable color design guideline can be obtained, so a design guideline for obtaining a more comfortable color tone can be obtained, and a comfortable color environment for humans can be objectively observed. It can be used as a tool to create a color environment that is comfortable for humans.
