多数のグリップ対を複数の工程毎に間欠停止して移動させつつ、給袋手段に連係させた袋受渡し手段により間欠的に送り込まれる袋を各グリップ対に供給するように設け、各グリップ対により吊り下げ状に支持された袋に充填工程で被包装物を充填してからシール工程で袋口のシールを施し、その施封された袋を製品排出工程で機外に排出するように構成された包装機において、
前記袋については、両側に折込片を有するガゼット袋と、平袋及び底部に折込片を有する自立袋を対象とし、
前記グリップ対については、左右方向に小角度範囲内で水平回転可能とした左右一対のホルダーを設け、内面にラックを形成した第1スライド杆と内面にラックを形成した第2スライド杆とを各ホルダーに平行に配置して両ラックにピニオンを噛合させ、そのピニオンの回転作動により第1スライド杆と第2スライド杆とを前後方向に移動自在に設け、第1スライド杆に取り付けられた第1固定支持部材の先端に備えた固定挟持部に対して第1可動支持部材の先端に備えた可動挟持部を接離自在に設けた第1挟持部と、第2スライド杆に取り付けられた第2固定支持部材の先端に備えた固定挟持部に対して第2可動支持部材の先端に備えた可動挟持部を接離自在に設けた第2挟持部とを備え、前記ホルダーの回転作動により左右の第1挟持部及び左右の第2挟持部の対応間隔を袋の幅寸法に合わせて拡張及び縮小調節自在に設け、ガゼット袋の場合には、第1挟持部と第2挟持部とによって前後左右の縦縁を挟持して当該袋を掴着し、前記自立袋を含む平袋の場合には、第1挟持部又は第2挟持部によって両側の縦縁を挟持して当該袋を掴着するように設け、
